Surface Pro 5

Who is buying one next month?

The future is upon us.

what is the most "professional" use you could do with a tablet

what android tablets use the panel from the ipad air?

a priest at my uncles funeral was using a tablet for his eulogy and stuff.

Watch porn while traveling for business.

I honestly think Apple needs to create a surface on the iPad Pro that is as accurate as a Wacom tablet. People, companies and institutions pay thousands for those.

Maybe it's not possible due to glass surface but if they could figure it out that would be a good segment to take over.

They have fully featured office suites

I'm able to get a (9.7 inch) iPad Pro from my job for just $300. Right now I'm using a crappy two-in-one tablet that's slow as shit.

The only thing I'd be missing is true multitasking and a keyboard, but is the iPad Pro worth it? I haven't had one since the first-gen Mini.

The last flight I was on didn't have the TV sets in the back of the seats, and instead they had a huge stack of tablets on hand for anyone that wanted to connect to the in-flight wifi and watch movies.

What does he use for CP though

real children

keked

What is the problem with a topic on tablets? The thread was even deleted a few times by a mod.

Why do people buy iPads other than the iPad mini 2?
It's such a deal, even with cellular.
>inb4 muh touch id

>MFW

fucking kek

Better display

It has the same retina display of the other iPads

>Cred Forums

Because they are up to 4 now and Mini 5 in march or something.

>mfw

My first generation nexus 7 arrived 2 days ago. I've already installed the pure nexus marshmallow ROM and superSU. Little to no lag and overall user experience is great for a (comfy) tablet that costed less than 60USD. Would recommend buying one if it is in a good condition at a low price.

I have one and like it. I use the iPad Pro for word processing, organising and publishing PDFs, quick mark ups on PDFs with the pencil, making thumbnails and banner art with Adobe Spark Post (quicker than fucking with Photoshop and Indesign) for video and art projects, reading news stories and Twitter. Don't expect it to completely replace a laptop if you have niche needs.

>tfw mom just got a new tablet, but is hesitant to give me her old N7 because she might want to use that one for when she leaves the house

why the fuck would buy a piece of shit like the gen 1 nexus 7? are you retarded? they originally cost like $99, and that was 5 fucking years ago. that piece of shit is worth like $20 now. for $60 you could have gotten a 2013 which is the first iteration of the nexus 7 that didn't suck (assuming it's stock and not ruined by crappy updates)

Your mom probably has her nudes on it

Should I buy this? US$200 I need a 4:3 aspect ratio tablet for muh textbooks and scientific papers

Bump!

because the mini 4 is worlds better

play eroge in airplane

Why do people buy tablets with mobile OS? What is their benefit compared to smartphones?

Email and MS Office/Google Docs.

You can use your phone for those without any problem/disadvantage though

>android/applel os
Top kek.

>android
hahahahaha

Windows tablet are usually:

>Heavier
>Hotter
>Chink
>Too small to use them at 8'' or 9.7''. Windows was designed for +12.5''

>Windows was designed for +12.5''
>Source: your ass
DV8P is 8" and it's totally usable. You're full of shit. End of story.

>thicc
>curvy
>asian
>thight
I don't see any problem desu

Should I get a 13" iPad Pro instead of a cintiq?

> without any problem/disadvantage
Except that typing with a ~9-10" tablet is much comfier than typing with a phone and the bigger screen is much better for document viewing and editing.

>Winshit
The biggest advantage of a tablet is not having to deal with Windows and that's why they're popular. Having Windows on a tablet is having the worst of both worlds.

7 to 10 inch screen instead of 4 to 5 inch screen, durr

Windows + Android = Best interaction between OS
Windows + Windows = Nigga what are you doing, enjoy your no apps and your x86 no touch interface programs

Exactly.
Windows tablet, android phone.

>Not Windows PC, Android Tablet, Android Phone master race

It only has the same display as mini 3, mini 4 on the other hand has one of the best display, stats and in person.

Bought a ZenPad 10 two days ago. Cost 160$ shipped

>Why?
Read journal papers, textbooks and play pokemon tcgo

>Why not a small laptop?
Because I want to use it as a portable drive and I want it to booth quickly and sip battery.

>How is it better?
Ant desks at school barely fit a notebook tab goes easily on lap.
Battery.
Most low spec pc games (including pokemon) have more efficient android counterparts.

This is why tablets are a huge joke.

I would possibly consider a Nexus 7 and use it as a phone through Google Talk with the bonus being better battery than a phone, but aside from that, tablets are nothing more than pacifiers for annoying kids.

HEY FUCKERS

ARE THERE ANY DECENT DIGITIZER-ENABLED TABLETS OUT RECENTLY BESIDES THE CUBE i7

I SWEAR TO CHRIST ITS BEEN 2 FUCKING YEARS

Aside from wanting to use it for games, you could have easily settled on a Chromebook.

Underrated

Refer back to the part about sitting at a desk for ants at uni and I don't need to type anything.

>low spec pc games (including pokemon)

I just got a used iPad Air 2 ($235 bretty good senpai) also for

>muh textbooks and scientific papers

Not sure how the Tab A compares as far as weight and ergonomics but a 9.7 4:3 display is great for those things, although looking it up the Tab A seems to be 1024 by 768.

Definitely usable, but the big ol' pixels might be kinda annoying especially if you're used to a smartphone.

>gr8 form factor, might be annoying BC of low res screen

top kek

>iShit
>good for anything

Nexus phone and iPad master race reporting in.

What are some good iOS apps? I mostly just use Youtube, Pocket Casts, and Apple News alongside Safari for most of my browsing. Not super huge into games but mostly because most mobile games are shit.

Like I said, my usecase is literally

>muh textbooks and scientific papers

iPad Air 2 has:
-gr8 screen
-gr8 battery life (15 hours of usage since I don't stress the SoC at all)
-super light and ergonomic so gr8 for extended reading sessions
-bretty cheap considering I got it used

apple pencil is almost worth, for me, since im in school.
wife has one, she loves it

>iPad

YOU ALL SUCK

I hate my stream7 so much, gonna get a nexus 7 2013 soon, is there anything I can do with the stream7 or should I just trash it.

I wish lad, I'm broke. They're honestly the only computer product I'm really excited about. I think next year I'll get one to replace my laptop. It looks like they've already ironed out nearly all the kinks and issues it had, and it seems like a really convenient piece of work.

whats the best tablet i can get for drawing? is it the ipad pro with the pencil? is there anything good thats cheaper without compromising quality? is there anything BETTER thats cheaper??

iPad is total fucking shit for drawing.

I think the iPad Pro™ with the Pencil™ would be the best option if you don't want to fuck around with it and want access to a shitload of drawing app options. But you're looking at like $1000.

Also, the drawing app called Paper named their stylus the Pencil first and is vastly superior and cheaper.

Tablets aren't there yet desu

2 rupees have been deposited in your designated shitting street Pajeet.

Are 2 in 1's a meme? I bought a Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 to replace my first gen iPad mini, mainly as an experiment to see how good a cheapo tablet can be, but I'm starting to realize that I'm using a tablet less and less, so I'm looking at getting a 2 in 1 when I'm upgrading from my 5 year old laptop since it's got all the benefits of a laptop while still being an actual laptop.

I would get a Surface if I wasn't a broke boy, but I'm looking at something like the Lenovo Yoga 700 series. Is 14 inches too big for a machine like this? It weighs 3.5 lbs which is less than my current 13 inch laptop but is that still too much for it to be able to use comfortably as a tablet without having to put it on a table all the time?

All the benefits of a tablet*, I'm retarded

>dat discoloration at dose shitty viewing angle
>dose cheap plastic bezels

Top kek.

>have to carry around a fucking keyboard and twice the weight
>all the benefits of a tablet
>all the benefits

i heard otherwise but i believe you guys over my shit associates
thats what i figured. with that money you could just get one of those wacoms you just draw on

Yes, not having a physical keyboard is a downside for something you plan on using for more than a hentai machine

The nexus 7 tablets were never (officially) released where I live. And they're overall expensive. I just need a basic tablet for school books and fucking around on the Internet. It's still in good condition tough, no scratches on the screen and battery life is pretty good also we make a bit more than 3 times less money than an average American.

This picture triggers me. He's going to fucking drop it.

>$50 tablet
>buhuu cheap plastic bezels
Kill yourself you autistic dipshit

I'm not going to dish out (You)s to all the idiots in this thread saying

>muh phone

The ideal size for a phone is pocket sized. The ideal size for a laptop is min 10" so you can type.

What's in between these sizes? BOOK SIZE. Book size, the perfect size for handheld media consumption. 7" or 8" tablets. Portable media consumption with decent screen size. Electronic notepads.

Bought the Samsung Galaxy Tab A for $110. 8", quad core, 720p screen. 6000mah battery. Thing lasts forever.

All of this before the new exploding battery features of course. Been using it and charging it and no problems. I use it for porn, news, YouTube, and porn. I use OverChan to browse this Shithole, and view all pics in the thread with the gallery option. Makes downloading porn from this place a breeze.

Try installing Windows 10 on MiPad 2, see if you like it senpai.

iPad Pro
SP line
Huawei Matebook
Now stop typing in caps or else I'm going to spoonfeed you more

Doesn't do tilt detection, and I believe Apple's pencil also works with the iPad (pro) to increase the sensing frequency when in use.

Still kind of want to pick up 53's Pencil, since I have an older iPad and I'm a consumer whore.

They are pretty light, don't worry. Also there is a bucket of water below it to break the fall!

Looking for a tablet for textbooks / drawing
The upcoming Galaxy tab a 10.1 with S-pen seems promising since it will come with the Note 7's s-pen. However, it might be slightly over my budget.
Any tablet with a good stylus suitable for drawing? Or perhaps, a better alternative I hadn't considered?

Surface Pro 1 and 2 had a Wagon screen at 10". You could go with one of those for about $200.

On android you get the fully featured office suite

>$50 tablet

not him but is that a fire 7?
