really need to get a clean rom on here. verizon sux dick and i already ported number and activated new sim on Ting. can only make calls occassionally, can't text at all. been thru all of ting's tech support. they say verizon still has a lock, verizon says they dont have lock. yet everytime i power on, i get notification: not a verizon sim. and when the calls i try to make dont go thru, it says no sim/sim error.

The Moto X seems okay but it has a 5.7" display.

Oh, then black definitely

From last thread

Last year my Nexus 4 dropped. Nexus 6p was too expensive and I got a MotoG 2014 1GB/8GB

Buyers remorse since month 2. Nexus 6p is still expensive

Ordered RN3P and a replacement screen for the Nexus 4

Screen change went well so I could

-keep the Nexus 4 one more year (only 8 GB), sell RN3P when it arrives. Moto G as backup phone

-use RN3P and sell MotoG. N4 as backup phone.

I can t sell N4 as the screen replacement is smaller than OEM and it's not well aligned.

What do?

Nexus was OK except for storage, I have a Sandisk Clip+ for music.

Xiaomi is. Another botnet

??
just do it m8
forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67506825&postcount=2

>front of the phone is a different color then the back
Why do they keep doing this? It's fucking horrible

I tried that last night but nothing came of it

The battery werks though. It's at 60% and ive been using it as normal.

Just use RN3P sheesh, it's an excellent phone.

It's the charging port on Xiaomeme phones. some other user had the same issue with his new Redmi 3 last week /csg/. you can either send it back for repair (expensive back shipping depending on your location), take it to a repair shop (shouldn't be too expensive) or repair it yourself (autismo).

a battery can be capable of draining yet not be capable of being charged

it's either a loose wire, a bad battery or it's a board in the phone, I would try checking for loose wires and replacing the battery because the board is worth more than the phone

Just bought a Axon 7, how fucked am I?

Selling my Note 4 for 150$ just to get it out of the way and to re-coop some money.

It's a good phone but the shitty skin is what puts it down a little.

What's wrong with phones made in China?

Man, I'm having lots of trouble telling which is which.
Some sellers list it as Silver, and others as Gray.
I want the one you have. But I don't wanna get the wrong one because of a misclick.

Do we have cases for the international version yet?

just click the picture of the one you want. it's what i did.

Pretty much

anyone else on kate pissed that you can't even disable the fingerprint sensor.

Even if you don't use it to unlock, brushing up against it wakes the screen no matter what.

Seriously sucks.

This is on globla dev (miui 8) AND global stable (miui7) from what I've heard - I can confirm this issue on miui8.

Yeah, that's why I ordered it.

But I can use the N4 a few months, save 160€ (I have a buyer for the RN3P) and get the 6p when Pixel launchs

If 6p prices won't drop the RN3P is a good option

This one for example, does list it:
aliexpress.com/store/product/Original-Xiaomi-Redmi-Note-3-Pro-Prime-4G-LTE-Cell-Phone-Snapdragon-650-Hexa-Core-Fingerprint/103919_32675885509.html

But I don't want the 3GB version

About to pull the trigger on this

Wanted Features (listed as most important to least)
>can handle all Google apps with ease: YouTube, Google Keep, Calendar are my most used apps
>multitasking is decent - ie browsing Facebook + Spotify OR shitposting on Clover + playing podcasts on Google Play
>heat management is good (doesn't get too hot / result in not being able to charge)
>battery lasts at least 3.5 hrs SOT
>speakers are a 7/10

^^ Will I be satisfied with using this phone in Canada? I checked willmyphonework and 3G is at least supported for all Pro models.
I am also buying the soft case with tempered glass-- should I find an alternative case and screen protector?
And finally: is this a """"""good""""" time to buy a redmeme? Or should I wait?

Just pulled the trigger on this nigger.

Dark grey is the darker one. silver is almost white.

1. Gold is gay
2. That's kate, see posts above about cases. GB might be lying about the cases fitting, ask their livechat.
3. Xiaomi releases a new phone every 2 months, there's never really a good timeframe to buy it.

So is there any hope for the Pixel(Nexus)?

Do you think it will be stuck with the whole HTC S thing and be a pain in the ass to root/unlock the loader?

What the fuck are those huge ugly bezels, especially the bottom

That's not kate you retard

Shit. That's not the international version, is it?
How hard will it be to make it american if I don't order it international?

That's fine, I won't get the case, I was actually looking towards a dual layer one if it's available anyways.
How do I know if I should get the Official International one or just the "3+32GB" version? The latter is much cheaper and I'd just root CM13 on it anyways right?

>Official international version
Yes it is you fucking cock sucking kike. hang yourself.

guys what the fuck, i have the RN3P and it keeps dropping the carrier signal even when it says it has signal.

It shows bars and I can use the internet, but if I want to call someone, it gives a me a mobile not work not available message.

any ideas how I can fix this?

>huge ugly bezels
the fuck are you talking about?

Are you blind?

i get similar on t-mobile.

What are you even on about you dumb nigger? The snapdragon/international version is kenzo. The mediatek version is kate.

Compare the bands it has to you network? kek, that's enough spoonfeeding for one day.

The bottom is for buttons. The top is smaller than most phones. The only phone with slimmer bezels is Samsung's edge shit

What a waste of chinkshit.

Why bother buying a ~$200 chink phone when saving a bit more money and buying a ~$400 OP3 or Nexus 6p will save you so much stress and hassle.
Bunch of fucking shills.

Do you not see the black bezels between the screen and the gold?

Specs have been out awhile, the worry is that HTC is named as the manufacturer and some of their phones are difficult or not possible to get access to.

I paid $130 for mine shipped and I can text and use data freely. Only issue is making calls and who even speaks into their phone anymore?

If anything, I can use whatsapp or google voice to make calls.

Yes. Most phones have that.

>retards buying a phone that clearly should not work in America

>it's chinkshit!
Retard.

Thanks lads. Is there a reputable place in the UK I can send this to?

...

>6p in canada starts at $699.
>OP3 is $519
Do I wait for the pixel and buy the 6p?
Or will the price drop not be substantial enough to wait?

I just want a phone I do not have to worry about any hiccups or problems for the next 2 years. I'd jump on the OP3 immediately but worry about the phone lasting after a year. Does OP have a bad reputation?

>I paid $130 for mine shipped and I can text and use data freely. Only issue is making calls and who even speaks into their phone anymore?

Can someone please tell me where to get the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe in the US? Is it even out yet?

>not using based Clover
I have no problems watching my porn on it senpai

Are Ubuntu phones garbage? How do they compare to Android?

Why are Huawei phones never références as chinkphones?

Is it because they are relatively more pricey? Or because they are released in the west?

Half the time the webms don't play. And I can't use it if I save them. Same with chrome dev

I've tried VLC, 123 Player, Karasawa, MX player, the embedded video player for Google Pictures, LeafPic, and Gallery, and they all either don't loop or work like poop.

There has to be one media player that works and allows you to loop

He asks in android fag general. You're talking to literal pajeets who can barrly afford a $100 phone.

Reminder to not give a shit about either Apple or Samsung but just go with a Huawei or Honor.

Great camera on the Honor 8.

Same reason why Samsung and Sony phones aren't considered chinkphones

This, surprisingly solid. Bought it as a burner for Ingress/Pokemon go since my Nexus 5X battery a shit

Meme tier garbage.

>0.01$ has been deposited into your iShill account

Expensive af and their UI is terrible shit. their inhouse SoC's Kirin is also garbage for anything 3d/games related because they use shit ARM Mali GPU's instead of based Adreno.

For real? How long have you've been using it? I'm on the verge of buying it but i'm worried about reports of it malfunctioning shortly after the month of use.

if you are over 20 kys
your life isnt goign to get any better

Thinking about getting a flip smart phone. I really want to try a different phone experience from the traditional smart phone layout we have today. The Freetel Musashi looks good to me, anyone else with experience on these types of phones?

>no bands

So I have an iPhone 6 64GB, is there any need for me to upgrade anytime soon? Don't do much outside of calls/texting/shitposting. Would like to try Android next (fuck iOS 10 I had to downgrade) but not sure if there's any reason to do it now and not in a year or two.

So /spg/, Canadafag here, for the past year my HTC One X has basically been on life support. I'm using Android 5.0.2 through Resurrection Remix ROM, which was OK for a while since it gave me a semi-modern OS, but lately the phone has been almost unusable. I'm ready to move on.

To be honest I still miss my Blackberry 9300 in some ways, and right now the Blackberry Priv is now on for $0 with a two-year term from Bell. The physical keyboard seems like a nice throwback to the good old days, and you get Android out of the box plus guaranteed security updates for at least two more years. Seems pretty good, should I cop? Any issues with this phone that the usual channels don't acknowledge?

Looking at that webpage made me blind. I hope you're happy.

Guys what is your opinion on HTC 10 and is it worth 700 dollars?

aliexpress.com/item/Original-Xiaomi-Redmi-Note-3-Pro-Prime-4G-LTE-Cell-Phone-Snapdragon-650-Hexa-Core-Fingerprint/32675885509.html

Anyone got experience with this seller?

Ugliest phone on the market

Hmm..it is pretty bland but isn't the build quality overall the better than S7 as it won't break with a fall?

Don't use AliExpress, you cheapskate.

I haven't had any problems, must have got a good one. It's been about 2 months I've had it. Charging is slow, but that's probably just fast charging that has spoiled me. Battery life is good though. I can't give any feedback on the mic/ear speaker quality. Back speaker is pretty quiet. Camera is mediocre at best. Screen looks good but colors are very cool and is rough on the eyes in the dark. Nearly stock Android, and there's been OTA security patches (surprisingly).

Keep in mind this wasn't bought as a primary phone, but as a toy. I'm very pleased with it and would use it as my daily driver. Remember it's GSM only.

If you get it, get the one with 2GB RAM, it's only $10 more.

Expansive af?? My p8 cost me 300 euros and performs like à 600 euros flagship.

I don't like emui but nova gets rid of 80% of it.

You can have comparable battery life and better performance cheaper if you can deal with 5".

Is Cyanogenmod without GApps viable?

>There are people in this thread who don't prioritize custom ROM support as the most important feature in a phone

We're at the point where phones are good enough no matter what you buy, the only thing that matters is being able to actually update it if the phone manufacturer cucks you after 6 months

Lenovo Vibe X3.

Performance battery life audio and camera are all more important to me than being able to put awful pajeet shit from xda on my phone.

Been using my Samsung Galaxy S3 on Straighttalk with Verizon towers for 3 years now. Should I upgrade to an S5 or Note 4? I really want the bigger screen.

Is there another affordable brand with a large screen?

It can be a 5" + display. My concern is it being too big. The biggest phone I've owned is the Moto X II (140.8mm), which was comfortable using it as my main music player (a lot of in and out of pocket action). Not willing to go bigger tho.

The S5 still had that cheap plastic feel to it, so id say go for the note 7 especially since you want a bigger screen

Try it.
There is no comfy wifi file transfer method. That's a deal breaker for me.

Note 4, sorry fucked that up

Which android phone gets closest to an iphones 6s or 7 perfomance?
Asking for real and was looking into the oneplus 3

No worries about the typo, thanks for the quick reply. I'm going to stick it in an ottterbox so not worried about the cheap platic feel. Price is a big point. Saving to buy a house but really need a new phone.

Will any Note 4 from Amazon work or should I pick a specific one for the Verizon towers?

>want good camera
>don't want to deal with touchjizz or iOS
is the HTC 10 the only option?

willmyphonework.net is giving me a no on that one.

Op3, honor 8

I have a LG v10 thats about 4 months old, and now i can barely go 30 minutes of light internet browsing without using 20% of my battery. I went to the phone shop and they replaced my battery for free, but it doesnt seem to help. Ive made sure i have as few programs runbing in the background as possible and my screen brightness is usually around 15-25%. is there any other tips for ibcreasing battery life or should i get a new phone? Im not running cyanogen or any other ROMs

Maybe look into the zuk Z2. 3500mAh 5" fhd. Some people at /csg bought it but if you live outside of europe check frequency compatibility at willmyphonework.
If don't like ZUI you can get rid of the software (zukfans.eu/community/forums/zuk-z2.5/). There are bugfree cyanogenmod 13 and RR builds. CM 14 has no systemsounds at the moment.

Xperia Z3C, OnePlus2 or LeEco X820 but no SD.

Shameless self bump.
I mean overall smoothness by the way, like the iphones fly through apps and multitasking. Is there any phone that comes close, or is it androids fault?

>Cyanogenmod
>Pajeet shit

Do you have downs? Enjoy not getting any updates

And if that's what's important to you then buy an iPhone

Funny you say that because Nexus phones and iPhones are the only phones I ever loved. had a Note 5 but the lack of consistent updates and the awful Android skin ruined it for me. Also, performance was spotty. My Nexus 5 was better. Right now I'm waiting for the Pixel. How good that is will determine if I get a 6s or not.

Guys I could use your help, I've got a budget of £240 and I'm not sure what phone to get.

Any ideas?

Do your own research lazy faggot

kimovil.com/en/compare-smartphones

I don't really feel like researching for you but look up processor benchmarks among various flagship devices if you really want to know the speed at which they move. Almost any flagship now will be able to operate without stuttering, and I'm pretty sure the OP3 can do that too.

any tips to help me fix my phone for a few more months? I dont wanna get a new phone yet but i need one for a my job and would rather not have to spend more money so soon just to get a new phone. I looked online and tried a factory reset but it didnt seem to help.

LG a shit. throw it from a bridge and buy that $50 Amazon phone.

depends on your carrier. if cdma your only option is the moto g4 play from amazon with ads enabled ($99 for prime members)

GSM, you have tons of options.

Also, you could buy an older phone off swappa.

I've had my priv since launch and no complaints here.

V20 when?

What is wrong with the s7?

Should I pull the trigga

I already did, cocksucker. Redmi Note 3 looks like it should suit my needs, or I could still get a used Galaxy Note 4, but I'm looking for further options and opinions. For instance:

Is anyone here using a Redmi Note 3 (or another Xiaomi phone with the same frequency support) on Ting or Sprint? If so, how is it?

On a related note, if the answer is basically "just fucking Google it" then why would these threads invite people to ask about which phone they should get in the first place? Go sit in the corner.

I live in a round room

read the OP you lazy faggot

>Is anyone here using a Redmi Note 3
Lurk more dipshit

Where do you think I quoted the first line of greentext in from? Everything useful to be gained from the OP has already figured into my research and current position. I'm not starting my search for a new phone from the beginning here. I'm trying to refine it through people who might have information I don't already have, and who have experience with situations as close as possible to my own (e.g. Redmi Note 3 users on the Sprint network)

>on Ting or Sprint?
Read more dipshit.

You are one retarded nigger. KYS.

I can't get my g flex 2 into recovery mode.
There's 3 buttons on the entire phone and every combination involving the power button does a normal boot. Any help? Software version h95011z.

That's very informative, thank you.

You welcome.

Guys I need help with the Redmeme Note 3 and im not willing to look anything up. Can you tell me if it works on my network? Don't tell me look it up im too lazy. Go sit in a rounded corner.

So whats with flagship phones having hissing sounds and explosive batteries? Doesn't paying nearly a grand for electronics get you quality anymore?

I mean, it does for every other piece of equipment (within reason). Are there any chinkphone phablets?

>bought RN3P off private eBay seller
>brand new, boxed, all stickers still on
>stops charging after two weeks

How shafted am I?

Chinkshit is worse

Insults work better when the contrary has been demonstrated before you've even implied them. I've already stated multiple times that I DID look it up, and that my research tells me it SHOULD work on my network. I've put in what work I can, and I'm asking if anyone has firsthand experience to see if it works as well as I hope it does, if there are unknown shortcomings I should be aware of, and if there are options my investigations haven't turned up.

Well, you get what you pay for, don't you?

Seems like a few generations ago is when smartphones reached the golden age of their construction to price ratio.

>buying phones form eBay
You deserve it.

>people literally fall for the chink shills in this paid advertisement of a thread

I'm holding out for the BB Mercury that's supposed to come out late this year or January. Gonna be slab with a physical keyboard, none of that slider business.

I really wish BB10 could have become a relevant OS. I'm using a Leap right now and I really like the user interface.

I hate apple as a company but their phones look aesthetically superior and their os has this strange pull to it

Very much so. Battery lasts a tiny bit longer too. APK Mirror and F-Droid are quite sufficient.

Currently have an LG G4 on US Cellular. The phone works like shit as a phone - it doesn't handle tower hand-offs properly and will drop into roaming until I toggle airplane mode. Data coverage does the same thing. What would make the phone do that?

I'm planning on getting a Samsung Galaxy S5 and going to Consumer Cellular soon, just want to know why the G4 keeps fucking up.

is it 100% fucked?

Post on r/xiaomi and next time don't fuck up with this shit and stay on miui.

Hey, I'm a super newfag here, so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but do you have any advice on which phone I could buy? I have no budget problems, and I've tried to look around a little bit, but I remain kinda confused. I hate apple and don't really like the design of samsung phones, so I excluded those. In the chaos that remained the huawei P9 plus looked good, but it seems to always run low compared with other phones in sites comparisons. I also looked at the new sony phone, the xperia xz, but it seems to have received mixed reviews. Which one of the too is better in your opinion? Or maybe which phone would be better than both of those? I'm kinda lost

Nothing wrong with ZTE. They've been a partner for carrier prepaid phones for god knows how long.

I just want a phone around the 5-inch screen size that doesn't have fucked up software. I feel like my only legit choices are the Nexus 5X and iPhone SE. I am not sure I can take the plunge into iOS, but the Nexus 5X also looks very average.

The jump into iOS isn't too drastic, to be fair. But, that being said, I'd personally stick to android. I switched to iOS because I wanted to get the iPhone experience and the 6s looked great at the time. But, that being said, I'm ready to switch to a Note 7 once they're fixed.

Yeah, I think you're about right. Wherever applicable, though, the blue options come right behind black.

Had one plus one for like three years then recently upgraded to a note 7 and had it for like a month before the recall and decided to get the iPhone 7 plus. Normally I'm not a sheeple but I dont fuck around on my phone alot anymore and am a bit bored of android. Even with dank specs system applications launch faster on the gfs 6s and for some reason the note 7 sounded like shit on aux in car but the gfs iPhone sounds great. Did I fuck up?? What's the consensus on this year's phatblets ?

Hey /spg/ what smartphone has the best cost to quality ratio?

Note 7 is a great phablet honestly, samsung just fucked up hardcore on the battery

I'm most worried about giving up Google Voice. Also concerned tie-ins with Gmail. Chromecast, etc won't be as good as they could be.

Then again Chromecast on Android can be buggy as shit anyway.

That's what has me frustrated enough to switch teams. I feel like I've been waiting forever for Android to finally be 'done' and even on Nexus devices it feels like a perpetual beta. Developers only care about iOS because it's easier to standardize an experience. Even Snapchat is total shit on Android.

It is a good phone. The car audio really got my goose though and I have noticed some touchwiz lag which makes me wary of how the software will progress with time. Took a leap of faith going iPhone but i was able to get the 256 gb model without spending any more. I'll try and post after some time with the iPhone and give am impartial opinion

I did this as well, I wanted something different for a change

Regretted it within 3 months, going back to android after 2 years felt amazing

do you ever try to make deals with the sales people at a store?

I knew a guy who worked at a cell phone store and I asked him to tell me when they were going to have a good sale, he said "everything is always on sale you just have to ask" So i went in there after figuring out about what they made on a new activation/contract and made it seem like i was just looking and really wanted to go with another provider

Me and the manager talked for awhile and at the end I told him "you guys are buying out contracts of other people and sometimes you have really big sales to get people in the door on one product, if I can tell you what I want and you can do it for X a month I'll do it right now

Wound up putting 100dolllars down and walked out with an S7 and a 45$ per month unlimited talk and text 3gb data a month bill for 2 years

i think i did pretty good

> Even Snapchat is total shit on Android.
>Even
It's shit on purpose. the developers of SC are huge Apple fanboys that hate Android.

>sometimes i wonder what the people in these threads do that's so damn exciting
Keeping up with the unoptimized shit show that is Android seems to require more computing power every year. All my quad corez can't stop Chrome from being slow as fuck or the camera "processing HDR" for 30 seconds after pictures.

I have one myself and am on the list to swap it for a new one when they're in stock.

Best phone I've had so far. Was nervous about it because of the scratch resistance but my screen is flawless so far without any protection. It doesn't even attract smudges and fingerprints as bad as previous glass.

Considered trading for an S7 Edge but after trying my friend's I really dislike how steep the edges are. Didn't want the smaller normal S7 screen. His also scratched in the first week from a case he got for it.

Hows the battery life the battery life?

Thinking of getting it as a little side game device since it appears to be fully rootable (provided the loader is too), seems overall decent. I have a boring job.

Whatever you say, Apple/Samshit astroturfer.
I still rather be spied on by China rather than the US.

Just signed the deal with the devil. I'll update my user experience. Just hope i won't end up getting a defective unit like so many.

I'm looking for a new phone since my shitty LG G4 got the bootloop shit, but I can't get something as expensive as that.
What do you do think of the Sony Xperia C5?

Did you get the G4 from a carrier? I took mine to my carrier and they mailed a replacement to me next day. Replacement worked fine until I upgraded.

Yes, but my warranty expired literally two months after my phone bricked itself. They still tried to help me remove the bootloop but they couldn't do shit.

I called LG Support and simply told me to fuck off because my 1-year warranty already expired. I told them I understood that and asked them if they could put some technician on the line so he could suggest me what to do on my own and I shit you not they said "No we can't, bye".

Damn that sucks. I guess I got lucky that it happened like five months after I got it. Gonna be staying away from LG for a while even though the V20 looks nice.

Cool thanks.

Other thoughts were a Moto G or S4 both are about 150. Either way it will be strickly wifi shits and giggles it won't be on any phone service.

...

>I shit you not they said "No we can't, bye".
Wow. That's awful. I'm a little hesitant to buy a V20 now

Well, I'm not surprised by that kind of reaction tbqh. We don't get the same level of customer service you get in the U.S. compared to here in Spicland. But I also heard other anons here on Cred Forums had many issues with LG when asking them to fix their bootloop thing on their G4/G5.

When I got a bootloop on my V10, I went through AT&T 1st and luckily still under the 1 year warranty. I got a replacement before they got backed up.

Will iPhone6 be outdated soon or is it still worth getting?

Right before it bootloops

Why would you want to be spied on at all?

No Cred Forumsentleman will ever approve getting an iPhone.

Going to be honest this They aren't bad phones, but its a really unethical company. And they are marketed to the facebook/instagram girls and they are good for that and little else. They are really good at that, but if you want to do something else you are fucked.

I also like the Apple products, but for the price they're selling all of their products you can get stuff that does at least 2 or 3 times more stuff.

I've only owned iPhones. I tried Android, didn't like it but I'm not judging nor am I a fanboi. Just prefer it for my basic needs.

Just got the Redmi Note 3 International Edition. Can I get cyanogenmod on this phone and will the rom for the base note 3 work?

What's the first thing you do when you get a new phone?

Turn it on

WRONG

You gotta take it out of the box first, dummy.

Not true. If you want a phone that excels at the basics, an iPhone is the way to go.

So any contenders in the range with BLU RH1 or S4? Just for some gaming.

Moto G is out because not enough ram.

Depends on the android you tried, most 'android' aren't real android they are mash of crap manufactures added and ruined. It wasn't that good before 3.0 either or well 4.0, but then again Iphones weren't until the 5 either which was a similar time frame.

I mean if basics and iOS is what you want 6 is an option.

I should wait until the Pixel phones before I buy a Nexus 6P right?

>I want to pay $650+ for a phone that does texting and Facebook REALLY good
You can't even store any files that aren't music, images or video, for fuck's sake.

right

/k/ here, it's got every feature I want

You have to get a Verizon model because of CDMA. Also, some Verizon note 4s can be bootloader unlocked, if it has a Samsung emmc.

honestly, Yeah. Camera, battery, screen, call quality, intuitive UI that's easy for normies, etc, BASIC shit is the best on iphones. I wouldn't buy one but I see the appeal tbqh

does someone have a list of differences between the kenzo & kate redmi note 3s?

literally just more lte more bands, and no official cm builds for kate yet

also like 2mm longer so doesnt fit cases

Exynos S7 maybe?

This. The SD820 is a dog and Qualcomm is holding back the Android.

Any thoughts on the Sony Xperia Z5 compact vs the Xperia X compact coming out? I'm looking for a more compact phone that isn't a fucking iphone SE or whatever.

I want to dankify my Nexus 5X, any launchers that are Cred Forums approved? I'm using Arrow Launcher but they keep updating their privacy policy and im getting concerned.
Any dank apps that are good?

>Intuitive UI
>No overriding back or menu button.

Yeah, nah, Aplel UI design is slow and clunky.

Do we know yet if there are any differences between the US and Euro versions of the new Xperias (X Compact and XZ) other than fingerprint?

Like, supported bands?

Yotaphone.
ROSSIYA

I disagree. Swipe for back is so natural.

So i ended dropping my S5 active on the weekend and the glass is shattered to fuck but the screen underneath is undamaged.

How easy is it to change the glass yourself ? So far i have had all repair shops and samsung themselves say no as its an American import and never sold this model out here.

Only other fix out here is to replace the screen which cost about a 1/2 of what i paid for the phone

Poor as shit so hoping to get a sub $200 phone. I looked at the Redmi Note 3 Pro and everything looks great aside from the lack of NFC. If there's nothing recommended I might just go with the RN3P.

might as well recommend the meme phone at this point

Is it worth buying a 16gb Mi Max?

I only want it for manga because my workplace doesn't allow us to bring in tablets or other "Personal Entertainment Devices". There's lots of downtime and they don't care what we do on our phones but you can't bring in other devices.

Don't intend to use it as my daily driver and I would prefer to spend less because I already have a tablet.

Basically it depends on how much you want LTE speeds

If you do, you get a cheap phone like a Blu R1 HD, Moto G4, or Honor 5X. If you get good Tmobile signal in your area and don't need faster speeds, get the Redmeme.

That looks pretty good. A bit disappointed in the lack of NFC but I might budge. How's CM on it?

but user, the redmeme breaks on people constantly and in different ways and the makers have no presence in the USA so nothing can be done to address the many issues people have with their quality

>I will be wearing gloves that are pretty thick and it will just be easier to hold a bigger phone with it.

How will you interact with the phone through your thick gloves?

Sorry I forgot to mention, I would be using a stylus too.

No idea, but it's getting new builds almost every day and I'm pretty sure the FP reader works on it now.

The default rom isn't terrible, it's just bloated and chinese which means it looks like a material iOS. The phone doesn't get too hot despite being a 61X chip, the FP reader is decently fast, no issues even on the stock rom.

>Its a normal sprint card, so theoretically it should work, right?

>Don't buy chinkshit
Why?

>Buying second hand smartphones.
>People are this poor.
>People actively want to drag their faces across the same surfaces as total strangers did before them.

I bet you're against used cars as well.

You don't even have to go refurb, Z3s are in the $200-300 range brand new and are still quality phones.

Is the z3 good? Bloatware? Is the Sony version of android responsive? 3GB ram, 1080p screen and the rest seem fine.

No I am not.
Smartphones are devices designed to immediately deteriorate, buying one that Cletus McGill has used for a year and handed back under contract will always net you a half functional device.

A refurbished S5 still costs more than a Redmi Note 3 pro, so you might as well pick the cheaper option without the fucked battery.

I have the Z3 compact, it's the best phone I've ever owned.

Sony's additions are very light and easily ignored. Some of it (like the Stamina and Ultra Stamina modes) is fantastic.

>Is the Sony version of android responsive?
Two years later it's still zippy for me. It does reload apps and web tabs pretty often though, if you're concerned about ram. The Z3 might not as much, I think it has 1GB more RAM than the compact.

I'm just not sure, there is a z3 for 170€ used here, a Motorola nexus 6 for 220€ used and the redmi note 3 pro for ~180€ after customs new from China. I don't want to be stuck with a fucked battery and I'm not sure whether I should spend more on something like a oneplus 3.

Is the battery of new (packaged never used) old phones (2 or three years old) deteriorated in any way?

I doubt it, but to perfectly honest I don't really know.

I can say that after two years of daily use I can still usually get almost two days out of my Z3c on Stamina mode, long as I'm not playing any games. Can't imagine a new battery would fare worse, even one that's been sitting in a warehouse for a long time.

Yes, but not terribly.
It would come down to how they were stored - if it was humid and hot, then I would expect a decrease in battery life to be sure.
