Common sense 2016 is pretty good.

Avira. Free and lightweight, always good to have as a backup in case I download something like an idiot. Its saved me once, so i can't criticize it.

what's up with this trend on Cred Forums of really dumb OP questions with an attached pic of the most basic bitch, generic blonde white girl? is it just normies from Cred Forums looking for quick tech support?

Malwarebtyes and Common sense 2017 edition is all you need.

>needing antivirus software

Common Sense 3000 Ultra Maximum Platinum Limited Deluxe Edition

Mac OS X

AVG, Malware bytes, and MS Security Essentials.

Nice thumbnail you fucking retard

bitdefender

I'm still using Common Sense 2015. Should I upgrade?

Disabled Windows Defender on my shitty laptop and never had problems with random 100% disk and cpu usage. Also, OS freezes and crashes from the anniversary update stopped entirely.

Common Sense revisited +gnu/linux

avira is the best antivirus to date, prove me wrong.

I personally don't like AV software. There are some who are quite usable, but most have even worse side effects than all of the viruses I ever head combined. The best thing is, that an AV never protected me from getting malweare. But false positives and generall stupid design made me quit them for good.

I use kaspersky. No real big issues, alot of false flags though.

Malwerbyte

I dunno about that, few years ago avast protected me against attack sites that seemed very legit in firefox I don't know whether it was a false positive or not though.
Are you saying that you don't use any AV at all like not even windows defender ?

I guess there is something installed by default on win 10, but I couldn't care less. Everything an AV can detect can be prevented by using up2date software anyways.

Malwarebytes and ublock origin are all I use. Was using AV for over 15 years, only detections have been false positives. They're absolute useless to anybody with half a mind.

Fuck off with your plastic 3DPD

You know that's a trap right?

stupid and stale meme

Wu Tang?

A password so my retard brother doesn't download viruses.

That's actually a pretty funny name for an antivirus.

...

I feel so useless, I don't know what to replace the Nortonjew I got conned into when I didn't know any better.

On Windows I have ublock, umatrix, windows defender, and if something manages to get through everything I have malware bytes anti malware.
On Linux I have ublock.

My only pet peeve is that I can't share my CS copy with my family

anti virus is for fucking degenerates

just don't be a dumbass

>i have 5 computers that have no antivirus on and everythings perfectly fine

>What anti-virus software does Cred Forums use?
macOS Sierra.

Adblock.

That's only to make using common sense a bit easier.

Kaspersky is good. Amazon usually has one year, one computer coverage for $5 too.

For almost 40 years old, she's still pretty hot.

Why do you keep calling it common sense when it obviously isn't?

Mah nigga. Got the internet security suite and its been pretty perfect for me. I use bitdefender on my phone.

Linux

ESET Smart Security

Avast Business for most.
> no ads
> central console
> no crapware
> 100% free

And also a cheap Bitdefender Antivirus 3pcs 1yr.
It's great for mom, sister, gf, people who are absolute r=1 users. It never failed on me.

Well, neither Avast did, but I don't want to risk shit, it's worth that 10-15$ a year.

webroot , shit is working on my core2duo like air .
not eating memory as fuck , and no bullshit ads/popups etc..

> McHuge forehead

She is a 4/10 at best.
She makes great pictures I agree, but she herself ain't a beauty.

Eset smart security 9

Do you guys use the firewall feature that much?

>40 years old
she's like 27 or so btw.

ME STUPID ME HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU MEAN

27 or 40, w/eva, it's still old to the average teenage 4chinner.

Smart Security is literally AV + firewall.
And some other useless features, but basically the Firewall is the selling point of Smart Security over the Antivirus of ESET.

So.
Do you guys really use the firewall feature that much?
For me, I found two situations:
- Servers. If it's not virtualized, I do a "block all, allow only" approach. In case I miss some service running.
- On desktop, I just allow everything, because who cares. I am behind NAT anyway.

True.
But yeah, she does look like 50.

...

Just google her, find a pic where you can see her forehead. Also, implying she does not wear tons of makeup, the fuck do you think she looks like 50 when she is only 27?

>Smart Security is literally AV + firewall.

Uhmm, I click accept, yes, yes, instal, close then let it do its thing
So no, i probably dont use firewall feature, I use it because I get free keys because my friend used to work for them when they were still stationed in Slovakia where I live.

...

Didn't say that, she has a 10/10 body (-5 for fake tits, that's just fucking disgusting).

Condom Sense 2016

>10/10 body
she's fat

Edited hosts file, windows defender and I have ublock origin and tampermonkey on my browser.

Virus free since 2 years.

Remove Windows, Install Linux, Problem Solved

Really? She was thin a few years back when I saw her pics. Well, -3-4 points then.
Bitch fucks up her tits and also her body?

How can you be so careless when it's literally the way you make money?

i really missed just torrenting whatever fucking shit i wanted on mac worry free. but i had to join pc master race once and for all. still wouldnt mind a macbook for extra shit while i do stuff on my pc tho. those are nice laptops.

Common Sense can't fucking protect you from rootkits, gov hacking and remote exploits. It doesn't protect you from forged SSL certs, overtaken legit websites, browser js injection. It won't protect you from malicious pfd / docx / pptx files, flash exploits or tampered USB flash drives. Now stop this fucking meme. Even if you use linux or osx you are not really safe while your computer is connected to the internet. Even less so if you are using tor, freenet etc.

Comodo Antivirus and TinyWall on windows. chroot and ids on linux, *bsd. Sandbox your shit.

Paranoia

Capped for future usage

Common Sense 2016 and MSE on Windows

He says Common Sense, while using Comodo.
It may be a bait, or a teen, or just a dumb user... but Comodo is the worst piece of software on the face of this planet.

1) It works by literally flagging EVERYTHING that is not digitally signed.
So good luck if you code, if you develop, if you do anything, your shit will get flagged.
2) If a virus is signed, you are fucked. Because it can't detect anything.
3) It's one of the slowest av ever made. Both the client, system impact, it's just horrible.
4) Support is non existent, it's pajeet indians all over the place.
5) Detect rate is close to 0%. They got kicked out of av tests too, but before that happened it was pure shit.

Source?
I used it.
I bought it for like 5$ from their site, the Internet Security version.
Oh my god. It's just ... no.

Ps.: Since the "outrage" (read: childish tantrum) by their CEO, they made it back to AV TESTS.
av-test.org/en/antivirus/home-windows/manufacturer/comodo/
Again, horrible score.

Mostly for the first part of his post, really

A lot of people in Cred Forums unironically believe the only way to be at danger is if you roam shady russian porn sites 24/7

True, but retarded AV software isn't going to protect you from any of that either. Up-to-date system mitigates most of the risks, and if someone were to drop a 0day on you (protip: nobody is going to because no one cares) you're fucked anyways.

>rootkits
Stop installing unverified software randomly from untruated sources

>gov hacking
Stop using this meme, the government is not hacking your computer and your anti virus would detect it if they did.

>and remote exploits.
Remote exploits require you to have run something beforehand from an untrusted source or given access to your hardware to untrusted sources. You shouldnt be using ssh, etc if you dont know how to set it up properly

>It doesn't protect you from forged SSL certs
Neither would an anti virus or firewall.

>overtaken legit websites
See above

>browser js injection.
You should have JS enabled on untrusted sources or in general for that matter. Get a better browser if yours doesnt let you.

>It won't protect you from malicious pfd / docx / pptx files
You shouldnt be opening these files from untrusted sources randomly and in general using windows products or adobe as both are not free and violate many freedoms

>flash exploits
Are you living in the 90s? Get a better browser and stop installing adobe shitsoftware on your computer

>or tampered USB flash drives

Once again you shouldnt be plugging in random hardware from untrusted sources. Stop being that retard that actually uses usbs in walls

Common Sense 16.09

>>lel I have linux ubunto mapplesoft. I dont need antivirus. I dont get vaccinations either

Have installed Avast on various members of my family's PCs but they always end up managing to install shit like McAfee when they install other programs it comes bundled with.

>user why is my laptop running so slowly

Comodo. The firewall is the important bit.

AVAST has "PUP detection", but you have to turn it on manually in settings.
So you screwed up here mate.

Go and fix it.

Well shit, I never knew that. Makes life a lot easier for people who don't read installers.

I didnt know I can go into settings in avast business.
(which is kinda retarded)

>fucking calves straight to muthafuckin feet

It has a pop-up. No splash

Avira will be bought by Avast soon.

theregister.co.uk/2016/07/07/avast_1_3bn_dollar_avg_buyout_offer/

I use a SATA condom to prevent malware from being written to my hard drive.
