Then don't, see if I care.

You see, the less you understand technology the more likely you are to irrationally mistrust it.

Mods, please make Cred Forums great again and ban shitty threads like this!

>not trusting literally any password manager
pshh, your two different 6 char passwords hidden in a txt file on your desktop aren't safer, kid.

>implying Cred Forums was ever great

it means low quality garbage full of security holes

I don't trust it either, but I admit it might be just a stupid fear.

I fear that somebody will have access to my keychain and steal shit or that I will forget the master password and lose access to everything.

I thought about handling it myself with an encfs container, but then I fear that I will forget the container's password or the container itself will get corrupted and I 'll lose access to the services.

I'm scared of using anything but memorized passwords, please nobully.

That's why I made myself one.

My online homework, emails and shit? Nobody wants that.

I've been using KeePass for 7 years.
I fully, 100% without a doubt trust in it.

In fact, I've even developed plugins for my own personal use, which meant examining the source code. I know exactly what's going on.

Sorry you are too paranoid/incompetent to use productive software OP.

Great, now you just have to worry about your own program randomly fucking your passwords because you are the only person that has bug tested it.

definitely a good idea for something security related.

It was just a small project why would I need someone else beside me to test it.

It works great and it is very simple. It uses an xml file as database and a simple gui where can I easily drag and drop the password to the page or just double click..

Also using keepass. Share the database via Dropbox.

This
A little late but been using for the past year.
>my god I can't believe I ever used LastPass
But I will say that, using LastPass got me into knowing what to do later, i.e. learning not trust my brain or use one 6 character password across all boards
>be nice plz.jpg

Lastpass is fine. They don't know your password.

I want to start using it myself
What is the difference between keepass and keepassx?

It works on linux

>write down password
>keep in pocket
Wow that was hard

is lastpass a botnet

I've been using Keep ass for around a year and a half, and it's a million times better than what I was doing before (same password slightly changed for each site, memorized). I have the database synced on Google Drive, with a key file that I never sync over the internet. If I get a new device I transfer it via USB.
Not like anybody's ever going to want my passwords, but I like the idea of all this security anyway. Makes my life easier while being more secure.

it's shiiiiiiit, and so is the firefox addon for it.

>using lastpass for years
>never had an account hacked

Feels good not having to remember passwords anymore, and having a completely unique password for every website.
