First for V20

Just spare the bullshit and get a OP3. It's literally perfect.

This. switched over from iPhail to a OP3 about two months ago. Never looking back.

Is $540 AUD for a almost perfect condition iPhone 6 plus 64gb a good deal?

Anyone else here liking that apple ditched the physical homebutton? But they had to go full retard with the headphone jack.

Is 1080p, gyro, 5" possible on $200?

Redmi 4 is exactly that, but no one knows when it comes out.

>0.01 yuan has been deposited into your OneShill© acocunts

You don't need 1080p on 5".

>0.01 Pajeets have been transfered into your rupee accounts.

Name a good, future-proof smartphone with Full HD (not higher) and expendable storage as well as a good camera for around 400€, please.

Honor 8

What's the best ROM option I have for an S4 with safestrap and no TWRP? Should I just flash nougat?

I work for Verizon, a guy from Google came with the new pixel phones to talk with my boss. Ask me anything.

fuck off

Have you seen them? The box? Anything? Overheard anything?

Do they have dual speakers? One and top and bottom?

He's talking about the price, I'm in San Francisco, next to some google office iirc.

>The box
He had them in his jeans, the xl in black and the normal one in white.

He literally just came about 5 minutes ago before heading to the office.

BUY THE BLACKBERRY PASSPORT REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

THEY'RE LESS THAN $300 NOW

Here's a question. I know Google steals my data, locks it in a cellar and rapes it.

But does iOS give me any access to the filesystem yet? I'm a grownup and I like that I can deal with all kinds of stuff (cloud, phone, SD card) via Solid Explorer.

>5.5" display
>perfect
"""no"""

No, and they never will.

is it any good? can passport into evernote?

They are talking about the processor, they guy is explaining my boss about the new Snapdragon 821 and the differences between bot phones.

Best droid for under $350?

it can use literally any android app; there are multiple ways to install the play store on it, most popular being a program called SNAP

honor 5x
it has a gyro, but it's not "unlocked" in the default ROM

check the xda forum if you want to know how(I don't)

and how do android apps look on the weird screen? i might give it a shot, love the querty

it's not that weird; not much different from 4:3. Just think of it as 4:4

He's showcasing the new features on the fingerprint sensor including the gestures.

5 inches 1080p for the pixel
5.5 inches 2k for the xl

usb c port at the bottom and two speakers

>Is 1080p, gyro, 5" possible on $200?
>honor 5x
>5.5"
Can you read?

Can you actually see them doing this or are you just hearing it? Where are the speakers?

cool i'll check it out

Prices? RAM? Battery size? weight/thickness?

...

Hi Cred Forumsents

Something I have always wondered is: does the battery get extra drained if the Wi-Fi is on but not connected to a network?

I always turn it off when I go out but is it really necessary? Sometimes when I arrive home I forget to put it on again and whopa I drained some of my data on jewtube/twitch

the office has a window, they leave the door open. I'm acting like i'm watching youtube videos so they don't think i'm recording them.

they guy just asked for a glass of water
water resistance maybe?

stop telling us things we already know. it's boring.

Nexus 5x

Do the phones look like the leaked render?

>he just emptied the glass of water on the xl
>my boss face

yes, the black one looks better than the white one in my opinion.

>tfw I can't tell if there's a headphone jack

fags

Answer this
Or your'e nothing but a shitty troll.

New phone dude, not old shit

He's just listening to their conversation; he doesn't have a spreadsheet of information in front of him. Stuff like battery size and thickness probably wouldn't be mentioned to a (probably) tech illiterate boss who (probably) doesn't really give a shit how many mm it is. It's silly to make tech specs a prerequisite for being a legitimate leaker.

$599 for the pixel
$649 for the base model of the xl
looks like we will have free gifts too

sadly I can't get into the office and take one of both to run geekbench on them

Nice, I wanted the XL but was worried it would be over $650.

my bad, looks like both use 820

my boss is talking about the htc vive, he thinks that google made that one too

What makes google think anyone will but these phone at such prices??? it's more than base iPhone 7. why would normies buy that?

Only 50 dollars more for xl?!

Do you really think normies give a shit? A lot of my friends have Note 7s.

looks like that
they are talking about virtual reality and other thinks right now

things*
my bad

I tried looking for a resurrection remix rom for the Xperia M4 and it says Sony M series on the website. Do all xperia m devices take the same rom?

>$600 for the cheapest one
RIP

and he's leaving right now, he gave my boss the xl and apparently he will be back later today.

any user in san Francisco? you can come to the store and talk to my boss while I take the phone out of the office to run geekbench

Pixel looks like bullshit. Never owned an iPhone before. Are they safe to buy used or should I get a new 6S with Apple care?

whats the z5c like?

im looking to upgrade and it seems quite nice from what ive read, and i like the size. For some reason the newer 'Xperia X Compact' seems worse?

Anyone have personal opinions on the redmi 3?
I'm trying to decide between the Xperia M4 Aqua and Xiaomi Redmi 3 (not the pro, not s, not note because I don't need any of those features)

Here's the gekbench dump guys

Taking a video of the phone

Goddamn I wish I could find the retard that said I'd never see 10 hours of SOT on my g4p. I'm at 9 hours, 42 minutes, and still 20% battery left.

I just dropped the phone (it was still a little wet) and the back broke, what the fuck guys

Need help Cred Forums, my iPhone 5s touch ID stoped working - i tried to clear it, it worked but then home button stoped working at all. In service they can fix it but without touch ID so i told them to fug off.

Anyone managed to fix that button with touch id preserved? Its perfectly working phone (i use onscreen button) i don't want to thrash it yet.

I am pissed off on Apple (i wanted phone for longer time than 2,5year), but when i see Android i want to vomit.
>Having to accept all that app wants
no

Is new touch ID2 from Iphone 6s more resistant? Iphone 7 seems to be overpriced,

What do you think about the iPhone SE? Disappointed with my Samsung Galaxy S7 and I absolutely love the iPhone 5/5s design, imo the beste smartphone design ever made. Should I switch?

Is the LG G4 the next best thing to the Nexus 5?

Why is it bullshit? Because of the price? You think you'll get better price/performance ratio from Apple?
Why would you go for ios if you don't like one or two Android product? I don't care but you'll probably miss things. If you're living outside of America than consider Chinkphones.
It better than a zc according to some anons.
lug dis mai m7 wuf 9h skren on taim an 29% levd

I am also considering SE, but what worries me they have touch id ver 1 there (same as in 5s), so it might fug upp like my 5s. I dunno if ver2 (in 6s, 7) is any better.

>bootloop issue
No.

I think I'm going to go buy mine today. From a retailer with no restocking fees, so when Pixel announcement rolls around, if it's actually worth it, I can change my mind.

But yeah, I feel the same way. The exterior of the 5 is absolutely perfect. With new guts and better battery life it's pretty much everything I wanted. iOS vs Android is something I'll never really make a decision on, they each have their ups and downs, so I'm thinking about at least making a choice that my left thigh will appreciate.

Im considering on switching from Nokia Lumia 735 to Honor 7. Honor 7 costs about 300e is it worth it?
I like the honor 7 for the good camera and large battery.

What should I get then?
My Nexus 5 battery can't keep up with just reading pdfs and browsing twitter during class break.

I want to upgrade for the sole purpose of mobile VR, is it worth waiting for Google Daydream or is it gonna flop like google usually does?

Pretty sure I'm in the minority on this one but I recently jumped from my broken moto g 2014 to a lumia 650 and I couldn't be happier.

So what happened?

Also I thought 821 was confirmed? Bummer if it's the 820

>Google
>is it gonna flop like google usually does?
It will probably be awesome, but they'll stop giving it updates, people will be stuck with years old app versions, and eventually phase it out in favor of a kaleidoscope screensaver despite everyone begging for more.

If previous Google projects are any indication.

Confirmed troll. Pixel XL is SD821.

Go with Sony, they will at least provide support.

Mini review
Axon 7

10/10 build quality
10/10 screen - seriously this screen is fucking beautiful
10/10 for audio - best audio in any device I've owned other than my schiit dac/asgard combo.
10/10 speakers loud as shit while still being very clear.
6/10 software could be improved on, and theirs no custom roms (yet) - still very usable but rather quirky
9/10 for speed held back by software
5/10 for feel in hand, I mean the metal body is nice, but slipper as fuck, so you need a case or dbrand skin for this thing.

I dunno what else to say, I came from a oneplus one that died after 2 years (screen cracked when I dropped it from bed)
so far I'm liking it, but I'm very used to CM and not sure how I feel about their rom and its quirks. I also miss the sandstone back.

considering it was the same price as the onePlus 3 where I live, I think its a solid choice

I'm a Nexus loyalist, don't like the Samsung or LG experience, don't want cheap Chinese trash.

So I'm buying an iPhone this time around and will come back to Android maybe in a year or two. So again, is it worth getting a new 6s with Apple care or would I be alright with a used one if I take care of it?

How do you like the camera? Seems kind of shit from what I've read and seen.

Current Phone: One Plus One

Looking at: Honor 8, OnePlus 3, HTC 10

Advice/recommendations?

I'm not a huge camera buff, I can take some pictures for you and show you.

but from what I've seen its very sharp and detailed, but doesn't quite capture colours as good as other phones.

but its fast and works pretty well.

Check out the Axon 7

why are you not watching tech-pajeeta, anons?

anyone has:
lenovo zuk z2

how is it ?
is it worth buying ?

When will the 5.5" meme die?

Really though, it's ruining all affordable phones, and all expensive phones too

>implying that's screen on time

That's just 9 hours on battery, that doesn't mean your screen has been on for 9 hours. Mine is the actual amount of time my screen has been on. My total on battery time is 20 hours and screen on time is 10 hours, 19 mins.

from the last time someone asked:
>Solid phone at a solid price, I got the Z2 for ~$250 and am very happy with it. Great performance with the 820, superb battery life in a handy package (5").
>let down by an average camera, plastic back that scratches easy and no band 20 (the Z2 Pro has this).
>CM13 is also pretty stable and there's a CM14 build out there, though it's unsurprisingly quite buggy at this stage.

>The battery is great as you say, I get over 9hrs SoT pro rated with mixed usage and haven't run it down completely yet as I charge every night.
>It seems to charge pretty quickly on my 5V Aukey charger but I haven't measured the rate. It's not too far off how quickly my 5x charged which has a smaller battery.

Is it ?

>nexus 5
If you're talking about the original nexus 5, the LG G2 is the closest thing to the N5 since both were made by LG at the same time, just the G2 had slightly better specs.

As for the G4... I'd make sure it's a refurb that has already gone through warranty repair because it won't end up having the bootloop defect, since the connector that caused that problem will have been properly repaired.

only if you Jailbreak.

AppleCare is literally priced to make money. I can't imagine it can be recommended as a payoff. But I'd also buy new. Resale is too high on iPhones for some crazy reason to be worth it unless you can't actually afford new.

nah its the ZTE Axon 7.

By slightly better specs is the battery that much different? That's my sole reason for wanting to swap phones. SD card slot could be nice too if the G2 has that.

thanks

>he doesn't realize LG made the Nexus 5

Help an idiot.

>started uni
>have a 5x
>'user it's annoying that you have an android, we were going to make a group chat over imessage with you'
>mfw

>Honor 7
>300e
No. you can literally get a new flagship for that much e.g. Zuk Z2, Mi5 etc. even P9 lite will be better.

>151mm

No

Windows 10 mobile is pretty good actually.

They probably did those 2 things to save cost when implementing ip67 water resistance. Not for usability reasons.

how likely are xiaomi's batteries to fail?

no more then any other device, they pretty much all use the same suppliers.

get bigger hands dickhead.

I'm sure the majority of the pokemon go playing faglords will shit talk it and call me a shill, but the moto g4 play is a pretty dope ass phone.

>10 hours screen on time
>water resistant nano coating
>2800mAh Li-Po removable battery
>expandable storage
>carrier unlocked for all US carriers including CDMA
>not a chinkphone from a company no one has ever heard of until recently
>5" IPS LCD
>2GB RAM
>SD410
>3.5mm headphone jack
>$150

Also, I can't seem to get any info on the DAC, but it literally gave me an eargasm when I plugged in my ATH M50X headphones. It was fucking beautiful.

However, the phone is not without its flaws.
>no gyro
>no NFC
>no 802.11ac
>720p
>16GB internal storage
>no gorilla glass
>even when disabling USB audio routing, there's an audible hiss when plugged into stereo aux port in car while car charger is plugged in

It performs better than the z5c even with the mid range snapdragon 650 but you'll lose waterproof, 4k video recording and mediocre selfie cam.

Battery has 700mAh more capacity, and a .2" larger screen, and has a microSD slot. Oh, and a much better camera. Otherwise the specs are exactly the same.

I do understand that, but the n5 is a pure experience. Lg phones (g5 etc) have their stupid LG UX

Shit thing with xiaomi is zero support

Can I run Android 6.1 on it?
I'm also considering just getting a portable battery pack for my Nexus instead but I have no experience on those.

Zuk Z2 isnt available in Finland neither is Mi5. P9 lite doesnt have gorilla glass so that makes me a bit worried. Also I dont want to order the phone globally in case something is broken and I cant get a new one through waranty.

Why does this happens? Why does the navigation bar doesn't use my wallpaper as background?

Lads, what do you think about the OnePlus Three? I am thinking of buying one. I'm tired of my shitty LG L90.

The phone is going for €400 (free shipping included), which sounds like a great deal for a phone with its specs.

How do you make a phone contract? There's no option for it on any carrier's website.

What's the best phone/VR-Headset combo right now for vr porn? I literally don't care about anything else

Its agood choice if it fits your needs. Also looks at xte axon 7 and huawei devices.

Are there any chink phones that offer SOME support in the uk? What's huawei like?

IPhone SE with Google Cardboard

>Pixel doesn't even feature a OIS

AHAHAHAHAHA

But then again, there are enough brainretarded sheeple to buy it anyways, for any price.

These people are not an inch better than the Applefanboys.

Average apple fagboi, anything is better than that

Not a brit, sorry. Huawei is great value, and will only be getting more support in the west.

Give advice to noob
From: Finland.
Budget: 300e
Screen size doesnt matter.
Android or similiar
Looking for a phone with a decent camera and battery life.

hardware specs means almost nothing when the UI is absolute shit

also, good on them for letting you unlock the bootloader and voiding your warranty at the same time.

OP3 may not have those 10/10 hardware specs, but it's the most well-rounded option

Not an official version, I don't think. I'm not sure, haven't had my G2 in over a year. I know I was able to flash custom roms, but I heard something about LG locking the bootloader

Right now I refuse to buy a phone I can't get fixed in the uk. It's simply too much hassle and waiting.

I'm looking at lenovo right now. They don't offer half as many phones in the uk as they do everywhere else but I wonder if I could still get them fixed here.

good thing i sold my 5x
don't want to be an anti-social outsider like you autists

how's the moto g4 play?

Does the Honor 8 use all bands on the 3(UK) network?

Thoughts on 'bumper' cases?

youtube.com/watch?v=VZgYWMij7CY

I got a grey bc having the gold back wouldn't show when I put on a case but maybe I can get a white+gold if I own something like this

So the Pixel phones look like they are going to suck ass. Any top tier phone recommendations I should be looking out for in the future.

I was thinking Note 7 but I have no interest in joining ISIS.

Most people use whatsapp in my neck of the woods.

And facebook because they are all useless normies.

It's kind of a half case, with back protection missing. Id say neither go full case or no case.

should I get the z5 compact?

Any other windows phone anons in here or am I the only one?

>want to order the OnePlus Three
>it's only shipping in 5 weeks

What the fuck?

Just want a mediocre performing 5.5" phone with SD slot, decent battery and has support in the uk

pls respond

Moto G4

>buy iPhone 6S
>16gb
I REALLY KEKED UP
I was fine using a 16gb iPhone 5 but I have a bad feeling.

On Apple's website it says they only offer 32gb and 128gb models but at Verizon they offer 16gb, 64gb, and 128gb. Weird.

>tfw Pixel phones are so exorbitantly priced that their release won't affect the price of the 5x

Why

Can't you return it and get a 32gb model?

What's the likelihood I can get ridiculously cheap refurbished Note 7s in a few months? That's the one upside to the explosion debacle.

The software UI isn't bad, has a few quirks that are easily fixed.

honestly using Nova I hardly notice much difference from my OPO

>TFW Google intentionally leaked $650 to the press so that when they announce $499 people will think its a bargain

Each human eye can squeeze out about 200PPI. Now you might think this means a max of 400PPI, but the reality is there's a lot of cross-over between each eye-field. We looked at the math and biology, and it's more accurate to say that the TSEFCPPI (Total Sum Eye-Field Correction PPI) is about 300PPI. Hence, Retina Display at 326PPI.

I've been looking at that. How shitty are they to unlock and root? Will I lose warranty?

>leaking to Cred Forums
>the press

For a $35 restock fee so I guess I just have to bite the bullet.
Otherwise, the phone is decent...I use a separate iPod for music but I'm already picturing myself trying to cram in PDF's I need and not having enough room for photos/vids.

they are easy to unlock as long as you don't get the amazon prime version

the warranty issue I think is dependent on your country

For $35, do it.
Fuck 16gb, I have nightmares from micromanaging storage every couple of days on my 16gb 5s.

Is there anything I can do to make my BlackBerry more secure / private? It's running a non-stick version of Android and can't be rooted.

Read the op lazy wanker.

I know technically they can't void warranty in yurop for rooting but it's difficult to enforce. Samsung sorted me out but they required a LOT of pressure.

I'll look into it though, ice heard good things about Motorola build quality.

it isn't accurate desu
A 2 week shipping wait on the gold came in 1.5 weeks?
They had a "SOLD OUT" sign over the grey one last week, checked the next day, it's available for immediate shipping.
They just don't know how much stock they have and it is retarded.

Verdict on snapdragon 617? I know they're only a53 cores but there are 8 of them. Does android make half decent use of them? I don't care about muh gaymes but i want a decent browsing experience.

Also what is it like for power consumption?

Curren phone is a samsung galaxy s2, I need to upgrade. Anyone have any good recommendations, as I can't really make a choice from their site.

Does Whatsapp work without Gapps?

I have a Lumia 550 but god damn its system performance was starting to annoy me. I still don't like Android's interface, but the performance on my Moto E 2nd gen is superior...

I can get a free Asus ZenFone 2E, is it worth it?

One plus 3 or the Samsung S7?

nope, needs google play services

My phone is starting to act up and I hear it is time for an upgrade I live in America and my carrier is AT&T this is my first post here so im sorry if i violate any rules.

I'm looking for a good solid phone that runs android. Currently I have a galaxy note 4 and I'm looking for something that matches or exceeds the camera quality, I also love the private mode feature and i'm hoping for something similar. most importantly I need expandable memory. As for the size something around the same size as my note. I'm hoping for something with good customization and no bloatware. I have heard that chinese and taiwanese phones have become popular and I am open to getting one of those phones. I was thinking a one + but they dont have the expandable memory that I need .My budget is about 900 dollars or so.

>My budget is about 900 dollars or so.
You can buy anything you want for that much.

HTC 10 imo is your best choice. SD slot, stock-ish android and great specs and camera.
S7 if you want the absolute best camera+waterproofing but with lagwizz bloat.

Or you can wait a bit for the next nexus aka Pixel and see if it's any good.

Should have got the 650 to be honest. I've had no issues with it performance wise

I really don't like the massive screen size.

The 650's screen is 5 inches. The 550 has a 4.7 inch screen so it's only .3 inches larger than the 550's screen. For daily use it isn't massive or anything. 5 inch screens are a pretty good size

lagwiz

i feel for the samshit meme

why do they ship it with such bloat?

The chip in the 650 is also a snapdragon 212 as opposed to the snapdragon 210 in the 550 which makes quite a big difference during general use.

I've found the os hardly ever lags and is very responsive overall. Don't expect to play any games on it mind you but if the extent of your usage is going to be phone stuff, some social apps and web browsing then the 650 is more than capable of holding its own.

Is your moto e the 3g version or the LTE version?

Dumped my 6p for an iphone SE

It's so nice having a palmable phone again

Big screens were a mistake

has HTC improved, i've had 3 HTC phones and theyve all crapped out on me. To be honest I'm a little mistrusting of HTC now. what's new with this new Nexus out of the 3 suggested I am the most interested in it.

Don't know if that belongs here, but I'm done with touchwizz. Currently sitting on a s5 I was looking into flashing cyanogenmod. I tried it once with heimdall but somehow it didn't work. Is there another guide out there that could help me?

after years of service my desire hd has finally died

tried looking at local stores but everything is fuckhuge 5 inch monsters
any good small phones?

does htc still make good phones?

What is the difference between the international and regular edition of Chinese phones? I tried to get a regular edition but the payment was declined. Does this have anything to do with it?

5 inch is the name of the game most of the time these days. Honestly it looks horrifying at first glance but you get used to it quite quickly.

However if you are hellbent on smaller phones I know that the Xperia compact range is a good one to look at mainly because its simply a smaller version of an xperia flagship and because of this the specs of most of the compact range remain exactly the same as their bigger counterparts.

Check GSMArena first before jumping on anything though. Research is important.

Moto G4 or Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro?

iphone se

As a user, i can confirm this. Remove the bloatware and install a Stock android icon pack though.

Redmi is superior but Moto G4 has more bands for America.

I wish it used snapdragon so it could get CM. Might have bought it if that was the case.

The capacative homebutton was a good move, it really was. But the headphonejack is just retarted considering that they didn't even make it thinner.

either black or white, I don't know.

I think black will be the choice in the end. Looks far better than white.

>on an abusive $150/m plan with AT&T for two iphone 3s that can't run anything
>go into store to see about upgrading phones
>they tell me it'll be $500 deposit to change the plan and $400 per new phone up front
What the fuck? Credit's good. Been a paying customer for years without a single late or missed payment. Now they want $900-1300 for us to get modern phones.

It'd be cheaper for me to walk 5 minutes down the road to Best Buy, buy a phone there, then add it to our current plan by a massive margin. What the fuck, AT&T?

What are some options for getting modern phones that can run modern apps and load modern websites without breaking the bank?

What the fuck mang. I knew ameribros get cucked by phone and broadband providers but that's insane.

xperia z5c

He's lying and has horrible credit.

If he had decent credit he could have signed up with any provider for

lol wtf I have a Nexus 5, it does fine in that regard, so you have like 30 apps running in the background? greenify that shit

I did that with the iphone 3s, jackass. I got them new and got a $150/mo plan for them. Been using them THIS ENTIRE TIME without billing issues. Without a late or missed payment. Now, years later, I'm trying to upgrade and they're being assholes about it.

I'm on the phone with them now and they're telling me one issue is I'm not the primary name on the bill, so even though I've been the one paying this bill, a bill that still has ME on the account by name, for years, they don't count that as proof of reliability or something.

They're also saying it sounds like the salesperson was fucking me over by trying to put me on a new plan when I didn't need one. They're saying the $500 charge sounds like a new account, not a normal charge for changing an existing account.

I talked to 3 fucking people at the store and they all fed me this same bullshit so now I'm hold waiting to report them to a manager or something.

Still want an answer to my question: What options do I even have in 2016? Will all carriers try to fuck me like this? Do they all overcharge? Are ALL new contract fees fucking $500 + a few more hundred per new phone?

Your pathetic, sub-human ass said this was just me being stupid, so how about you prove that you know any better. "hurr just go prepaid with t-mobile" after I told you I've been on the same phones since the iphone 3 was new. I dunno what the fuck the cellular market is like now and I can't figure it out because 100% of results on google are fucking scam sites.

3G

Yeah that's running a snapdragon 200. The lumia 550 has a 210 behind it iirc. The 650 on the other hand uses a snapdragon 212. Either way it surprises me that you'd be having performance issues with windows 10 mobile on the 210 as that should be more than capable.

If I am correct you can change that through your launchers settings

I wish I knew. Gonna try the insider builds and see if they have any performance boosts.

Will there be refurbished Note 7's? If so, when?

Wat im still using a three years old one m7.
Maybe wait for the v20. Looks promising but well the fruitloop lottery.
Well you don't need to go down to 4" to do this. As long as you're pleased~

sup boys, so I have this really odd problem with my HTC M8.
A bit of history because it maybe play a part into the problem.
It got really hot in the summer but still worked, about 5hrs later at work I wanted to check my mails and the M8 crashed into blackscreen and from that point on it didn´t boot normal anymore.
It shows the normal HTC bootscreen for a few secs and then shuts down again.
After I put pluged in the powersupply it still didn´t really booted and after like 20 trys of rebooting I factory reseted it with the internal bootloader.
It did work for like 3hours and then again blackscreened on me while still having the power suply pluged in. I got it to work again after pluging it on my pc but it blackscreened again after a short time. In between I even could use it without powersupply but It shut down again.

Any ideas? I think its the battery but error is just to strange for me to go into the effort of changing the battery.

guys
i'm gonna fall for the meme
the redmeme 3 it is
i finally found a shop in my country that repairs the screen/replaces battery

Where do you live?

That's a lot of monkey rage, typical of someone who has poor credit and can't budget properly.

how do i find out my data speed?

im looking at my plan online but it doesnt say anywhere

What's a good phone that has as least physical buttons as possible? I don't dig buttons, they always break for me.

Speed test app

Next you're gonna claim you were only pretending to be retarded.
Go back and re-read where I corrected you about 5 times since you seem to struggle with basic english comprehension.

Lets see here, you're the one who's getting fucked up the ass due to your poor credit. I'm over here on a new phone whenever I want. Monkey.

I wanna factory reset my Moto G2 but its not letting me, i cant soft reset it and i cant hard reset it.

It doesn't let me select the option when i try to press it on settings and when i try to use the factory reset trough hard reset it says: no command.
Time for warranty?

So you can't respond to a single point I raised? You're just gonna keep bringing your own factually wrong or irrelevent bullshit and pretend you're right?

See how far that takes you in life, windowlicker.

Isn't embarrassing to use a phone with a headphone jack in 2016?
Kind of like an 8-track tape in your car.

Wonderful. I just had 22 hours on a single charge and 11 hours of it was screen on time.

Hi /spg/ looking to get a replacement phone on someones behalf.

UK based. They have iPhone 5s. Ideally they would like something of a similar size. No direct budget however cheap but effective such as a Redmeme 3 is good.
Ideally no larger than 5 Inch screen. Android is welcome if anything similar to iOS is available or just a rather easy to use Android OS.

Band 20 is a requirement.

Thank you in advance.

Not with 90% of headphones still being wired. Besides, I really enjoy listening to music on my phone, removing the headphone jack just for a few extra millimeters to be removed was a pretty dumb move in my opinion. Soon we'll be having phones that are as thin as paper, have no ports for anything and probably break easily and this isn't exactly what I want in a phone.

Just got a Chromecast because the only tech I have is an S7 and a TV.
Besides watching porn, what's some cool shit you can do with this?

iPhone SE

Some more details? Thinking of getting the g4 or g4 play. Was that mostly browsing? Wifi or 3g/4g? What brightness?

there will be a special edition of redmi note 3 coming up soon with all the lte bands for europe

Cancel the plan and start a new one. Preferably on another company.

that sounds awesome.
Is Snapdragon 650 powerfull enough to play hearthstone without lags? because thats the only game I play on my Smartphone and the rest is InstantMsgs and interwebs.

Almost bought a moto g4 play until I realised it has on screen button. Fucking WHY. Seems like the perfect phone other than that.

America will never get one for its bands will it?

>Huawei 5x
>200$

Good midrange phone if I dont want to $ up to a 1+3?

>nearly a year old
>not just waiting for the 1+3

>chinese

If buying chinese stuff in the past has taught me anything is that they have god awful quality control. A lot of my products from china were DOA and it was a fucking pain to replace them. I agree though, it's a pretty decent phone, a much cheaper knockoff of HTC phones. Just get rid of that pointless home button down below and make it all touchscreen then it'd really be perfect.

Sorry I'm new to buying phones that aren't carried by my provider. I really am thinking getting a Huawei P9 will it work with AT&T service here in America

No, 810 is a shit

I'm replacing a Nexus 5 so my expectations are high. Thanks guys.

>I finally got hit by LG's bootloop meme
now what?

oh hey man, did you make sure you hail'd corporate this morning? Sure am glad dem androids are here to save us from da spooky fruits!

Get the fuck out you fucking retard.

Has literally none if the must have features I listed. Stop shilling you fucking shit smearing, truck crashing, curry gobbling cunt.

Redmi 3s

Thanks for the reply. I'll have a look.

I recently bought one, ask ahead if you feel like it.

>Has literally none if the must have features I listed.
I wouldn't know, you said to go quick.

Are Chinese phones worth it? I almost got a one plus 3 but the lack of expandable memory is a deal breaker for me. Is there anyphone similar to the one plus 3 with a micro sd slot? preferably one that would work in the united states for AT&T

That's the idea now. That's why I'm posting. I dunno what our options are. We've been on AT&T for years and have only needed these ancient iphone 3s in that time. We dunno what's out there now or who's a good carrier.

Friends tell us T-Mobile is the way to go.

RMA it, what else?

What are the best unlocked phones that work with verizon? I got about 200$

been giving android a shot after nearly 3 years with an iphone 5s and i gotta say the moto x pure hasn't wowed me. i missed widgets and customizability, but it's just not as stable and sharp as ios. thinking about upgrading to iphone 7, but not sure if I shouldn't just hold out for the 10th anniversary edition next year

had htc one m8 for 2 years now, it's starting to get laggy and slow, is this normal or some update bloating by the jews at google?

I currently have an iPhone 4, it has aged terribly. Can't use safari, facetime, youtube, etc.

I will not buy another apple phone, i'd like recommendations for an android, small screen size, and something that will last me a few years at the minimum. I really don't want to spend more than $200 on a phone.

I need help
is a huawei 5x the value pick for the mid-range phone?

>it has aged terribly
>i'd like recommendations for an android
ayy lmao

Blu Life One X2 was announced
pretty solid specs for just $180
what does Cred Forums think?

forgot link
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M13TSHR

apple has purposely left their older products in the dust to force users to move on, really shitty of them.

With the issue about a lot of new RN3P units suddenly not being able to charge I'm now afraid to purchase one. Would a Xiaomi Mi Max or a Zuk Z2 be an okay alternative? What are other options? Which one would be better?

>Country

>Carrier

>Features
A fingerprint reader that doesn't need to be pressed
Doesn't stutter or lag too much (I usually have GMail, Facebook, Messenger, Viber, Telegram, Twitter and Instagram all running at the same time for work, and I sometimes edit photos on Snapseed)
A small screen is nice for pocketability and handling, but a big screen is nice for editing/working (what do you think matters more?)
A good camera would be nice, but I also carry a proper camera so it isn't that big of a deal.

>Budget
Up to $200-400

good luck finding an android phone older than maybe a year and a half old that will be getting an upgrade to nougat

>apple leaves behind 5 year old products with an old architecture, what fags
>hey you you should buy this chinese android device that most likely won't honor their warranty and will stop supporting it within its first year of life

>he chose a file browser over social interaction

ladies and gents, this is Cred Forums

Who cares, it's fun to watch their userbase eat shit every year.

>lets put quad core processors in our phones, and use screen resolutions higher than that of most desktop monitors

>phones aren't only used for phone calls and texting now

phone manufacturers are putting way too much beef in their products and charging a surplus. Most of the shit that works on phones now-a-days would work fine on older products if they weren't so busy constantly trying to 'sell' 'sell' sell'

Can anybody help me please?
I just updated my xperia m4 to android 6, and suddenly none of my apps installed on the SD work, I go to settings>apps because I figured it could be a cache problem, but the apps don't show up at all
It's driving me crazy.

>tfw Samsung Galaxy Note 7
It's alright

Had a Nexus 6 since launch. Mini review?

Camera can produce some pretty high quality shots during the day with HDR turned on, but definitely focus hunts a lot. In low light it's trash and usually produces a plain black image when other phones can pick something up. Outside under a street light? Black image. The focus hunting and lag is a major issue during capturing. Images and videos take a while to capture and process, feels like the phone is going to completely crash during this. Also, due to the underclocking of the device at lower battery levels I end up with ~20fps video footage if the phone is

Oh I also had to RMA once because the camera was stuck in the tightest possible focus.

How the FUCK do i disable image post procesing on WP10? If i take a photo and then open it right away it looks fine and then after it """"adds the finishing touches"""" it looks like overdone softening filter on something?

>t. 300ppi iPhone Patel

for chink phones i.e RN3P do you just put your sim card from your current phone when you get it and then its ready to go?

>Battery life and camera are my number one desires.
6s+ no contest.

How does everyone feel about Xperia Z5? Thinking about getting the premium version.

You have to sacrifice a lamb to Nurgle.

Disappointing at best, at worst a housefire with a useless fingerprint scanner
Overpriced as fuck in every single regard

Why can't October come already? I want both the V20 and the Pixel XL to come out so I can choose between them. Any thoughts so far as to which is better?

or RN3P for something more powerful, but like half batterylife (but still great (10 hours SOT)

My HTC One M8 sucks, I need a new phone. I need a phone that can support my pentesting needs, cracking, etc. Needs an SD card, and preferably no data mining. Or if it has data mining, the ability to install a different OS.

I'd get pic related but it's way too expensive.

Suggestions?

banggood has a better price right now

2bh I don't really think avoiding botnet matters anymore. I used to be really autistic about it, encrypting everything and only using FOSS etc. but there's always someone watching you, whether it's the government or some companies. And they probably already have most of my info from before I got autistic. There's just no point to jumping through hoops when the internet itself has become a conduit for data mining.

Not really relevant, but I thought I'd share my two autism bucks.

Oukitel K10,000.
It doubles as a hammer.

I'm not going to let privacy take massive chunks out of usability, but I'll deal with the small drawbacks.

Anyone?
This is hell

i'm pretty sure android 6.0 has a new way of using the sd card, and that might be why. check to see how your phone is set to use your sd card. is it set to combine sd card space with onboard storage space? if so, that might be the issue. you may need to reinstall all apps that are affected.

>buying a device solely for your peers and not yourself

Wait. Are you really defending iPhone?
Holy shit.

>Buying a fucking phone on a plan because you're too poor to buy a phone outright.
Wow.

>listening to podcasts and posting on my comfy dirt cheap Xiaomi Redmi note 3 pro

Is there anything better Xiaomi bros? Honestly haven't been happier with a phone for years.

Real question though.
Does anyone here buys with a plan? If so, why? Do you use all the data/calls/messages and whatever they give you?

What should I get Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro or Xiaomi mi5 32gb version? Pls respond.

is the z5 compact really overheating that much as reports claim?

2nd this

Has xiaomi acknowledged this issue its pretty much the only reason I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

So what is Cred Forums 's preferred gallery app for Android? QuickPic use to be mine, but ever since I upgraded to Nugget it's been crashing on me. RIP best gallery app.

Why does my moto g4 play charge so fucking slowly? 5 hours? What the fuck? It's using the default wall charger.

I'm entirely new. To like everything Cred Forums

I just bought a Redmi note 3, what's the general consensus?

>computer headphones crackle suddenly
>phone screen turns on
What did my electronics mean by this? No, really, what the hell.

Got a iPhone 5s some years ago for free with my family

Okay phone , what I loved most was web browsing

Well it's time to get a new phone again and I plan on getting the new Samsung s7 active

Is the web browsing good? That is really all I care about

Tmobile
US

I use a plan, but only because it's the cheapest way to get shitloads of data, I use my own phone to save about $1k every two years.

What I used to do before BYO plans were available was immediately sell the phone they gave me, scored $600 for a 3GS back in the day.

Now that's ugly. Is this what android has to offer? Your own unique brand of disgusting?

Shut up fag it's sexy. SCR Pro 2 isn't on the playstore anymore I didn't know what to grab to record

Oh.
Uh Oneplus X?

>$200
z3 compact maybe. But it's already two years old. Another choice would be the x compact but it's far more expensive.

If you want a smaller device with that pricetag you are out of luck desu.

Maybe some bq aquaris device, they have a 4.5 inch device iirc.

Or samsung a3 ? There are almost no good small phones left, which sucks.

So if the Pixel turns out to be a bad phone, what's the next best Android flagship comparable to the iPhone 7 in terms of just workability, stability and performance?

The Memememe Meme

Yea no.

I tried reinstalling facebook, and when I boot it, it just says "Unfortunately, facebook has stopped"
I says something about being a portable storage, it doesn't let me do shit

Depends on your budget
Mi5 is probably the Best Smartphone available right now.

Should I get a Galaxy note 5 yes or no? I was planning on trying cyanogenmod for the first time on it. Never used it before. I kind of like how it has a stylus.

just got my $130 Blu Life XL LTE with vanilla android 5.1 64bit

>literally lets you unlock bootloader right in the settings

>devs maintain a site with custom roms

>has a 3.5mm jack

>battery literally ships outside of the case much less question if its user replaceable

>2 sims

>5.5 display in 1080p

>uses every single ATT & Tmobile LTE band, not just the main 3

why are ppl paying 700 dollars for a phone again?

there is no cm for exynos devices

dang Galaxy note 5 still worth it at all?

Not bad

Can chinks on ali express deny my warranty because I flashed a newer official miui rom on my RN3P?

this

No, just don't mention it when you send it back.

I already fucking have. I've never heard of being denied warranty of installing the official fucking firmware what the fuck.

So what the fuck do I do now. Buy another one and enjoy the fact that I have spare parts or buy a non-chinkshit phone like the moto g4 plus?

also posted this at csg but --

OK so in the process of flashing china dev rom to my memephone3pro, assuming I don't brick it, I should be able to unlock the bootloader and flash twrp.

the question is: what ROM do I flash? official CM presumably, which version?

>go to shit smartphone store
>touch every phone in the store and try it out for 15 mins each untill the security starts standing next to me and watching me
i didn't like any of them the g5 feels like a fisher price phone the iphone is boring garbage the htc 10 is ugly the only one i kinda liked was the s7\s7edge
wtf i hate """""smart"""""phones now

Is it worth waiting for xiaomi to release a snapfaggot version of the redmi note 4?

Is everything else the same comared to the note 3? Only difference I can spot is the charging port is now in the middle.

>go to a smartphone store
>touch-me phones literally on every wall
>like 50+ phones to try
>literally none of them is smaller than 4.3"
I don't fucking want a hueg phone
I want a phone that I can use one handed comfortably
I want a phone that I can put to my ear without feeling like I'm listening to a fucking bible
They are making 4.6" phones and they call them "compact" and they cost $400+
They are making 5.3" phones and they call them "mini"
There aren't any ~4" phones that aren't shit
wtf i hate """"smart"""" phones now

Is it true what they say about helio SoCs or are they any good?

Less developers and it's worse compared to qualcomm SoCs.

It's China, you don't have the legal standing to demand repairs like you do in the EU.
Standard policy with Chinese shit is to always claim innocence.

Fuck mang. Just thought it would save time and money instead of paying to send it in and waiting weeks just for them to turn around and say no sorry. Thought they'd only mind if I root and install cm as opposed to official rom.

I'm still tempted to buy another. Gearbest or Amazon? Also international versions only differ in the installed rom right?

Has anyone used suhide yet?

Just like Exynos processors they're good at raw computing tasks but have weaker graphic units and lack software support. Helios aren't as bad as Exynos imo bc at least some nwer phones with them got custom roms.

I'm sorry for my autism, but
do all xperia m devices take the same roms?

Does anyone else watch anime on their redmi note 3 pro and marvel at how nice it looks?

what
u gon need 2 use betr inglsh

New fucking thread when?

ok sorry the retardation got to me
so
if i search for xperia m4 roms all the roms just say "xperia m"

is there no rom development for the m4 or do all devices of the m series use the same rom in some magical way?

sup Im looking for a new phone with a good camera. Thinking about gettin LG G4 for 300 yuros. Any other options?

Moto g4 plus maybe

iPhone SE.

How do you make a phone contract? There's no option for it on any carrier's website. Do I have to go to a store?

How would I know where you're from or what carrier you're looking at?

You need to go to your local Church, it's weird, I know - but it's sort of left over from when mobile phones were fringe technology.

>no android
It's shit to me.

I mean I do feel envy when I see people using the older, smaller iPhones. They are using small smartphones with good specs. Yet android is a big deal to me. Fuck closed ecosystem, fuck iTunes, also fuck built-in battery and fuck non-USB connector.

Yet if there was an option to run android natively (not emulated) on it I'd probably go buy an older iPhone right now.

I hear ya. We're getting cucked big time by phone manufacturers. I don't understand why no one bothers with an android alternative to the SE.

Need to get a new phone for my dad. It needs to be android and needs a fingerprint scanner. Would really like the phone to have a nice loud speaker because he likes uses the speakerphone. Price needs to be around $250.

The moto g4 plus is going for $250 on amazon for the 64/4GB model. Is that the best deal going right now?
