>Over the past year or two, someone has been probing the defenses of the companies that run critical pieces of the Internet. These probes take the form of precisely calibrated attacks designed to determine exactly how well these companies can defend themselves, and what would be required to take them down. We don't know who is doing this, but it feels like a large nation state. China or Russia would be my first guesses.
Oh fuck guys, what do we do?
Kevin Ramirez
Stupid frogposter.
Adam Watson
would actually be okay with this no matter what they do im sure some small obscure nets would surface, at the very least locally would be cool to experience the old obscure web again
John Ortiz
first off, its most likely the NSA tryna test BS so that they can just kill whatever they want whenever they want BUT if that is or isn't the case there is enough infrastructure that intelligent kids will be able to still host and access shit > so git gud
David Smith
this
Ryder King
unlikely, the NSA is usually more covert, they wouldn't probe this aggressively against US assets.
Michael Green
Time to start stocking up on cat6 and ethernet extenders, boys
Once this shiternet goes down we shall rebuild
Jack Diaz
actually now that i think about it, if all i would have was a local net it would probably be shit only being able to talk to a bunch of swedes would be awful
Bentley Reyes
Anonymous
Joseph King
Another false flag, fear mongering in order to strip you cucks into giving up your Internet rights and online freedoms too.
Chase Myers
We would probably end up with each city being its own network and being connected to the neighbouring cities through a fatter pipe
Samuel Jackson
Good thing I saved all that porn
Tyler Green
it's all me
what are you going to do about it?
also, some of you folks are alright, don't go to wikipedia on 9/11/2017
Jackson Turner
>China or Russia would be my first guesses
good goy
Camden Ross
>Samsung 1 and Samsung 2 in incorrect order
Nathaniel Bailey
how would you even take down all the IX points in the world
Julian Sullivan
>Incorrect order
depends on who you ask
Benjamin Williams
>caring about the drive label
Matthew Moore
Massive simultaneous hacks requiring nation state level resources
Isaac Rivera
>the entire web would be country music and minion mom memes JUST
Brayden Richardson
>NSA probing internet lines >Blame it on China/russia
Isaac Taylor
>China >Russia Kek
Jackson Wilson
Good, the internet was a bad idea anyway.
Bentley Jones
> Internet goes down > market opens up for all your porn archives FUCKING YES HURRY UP AND HAPPEN
Jayden Parker
>China or Russia or America, fucking obviously
Daniel Roberts
Why the fuck does everyone always assume it's a country doing this shit? Why always Russia or China? In reality it's most likely a bored basement dweller with a botnet.
Colton Martin
This. Fucking ugabugas falseflagging again.
Grayson Williams
>murrica believes this M-muh NSA is on USA's peoples side
Austin Anderson
Good luck taking down the internet when we're all using quantum entanglement modems in a distributed network.
Wyatt King
Because americans are doing this and they are trying to make you think is china or russia doing this.
John Wood
I imagine all three of those are trying things like that. I mean why shouldn't they, they spend stupid amount of money on their security teams, might as well let them play. Heck, if big parts of the net stopped working maybe people would realize how fucking stupid it is to have everything at a few centralized places.
Brody Rogers
Rly make u think
Levi Cooper
such internets would be so shit, running out of content so quickly it would render it useless.
Lucas Cook
True, but the American government has the most to gain by shutting down the internet as a whole. Russia and China are fine censoring it. In America they can't do that, so they'd have to take down the whole thing
Gabriel Watson
>internet >content hello rebbit
Jaxson Brooks
what, do you prefer to tip my fedora and call it intranet? fucking lol nigger
Julian Ward
They aren't on the peoples side, but they are on the US's economies side.
US businesses are what are setting US policy, and you'd be stupid to think the NSA doesn't know where it's money comes from (The US tax payers, and corporations paying taxes in the US).
NSA actively tries to defend US corporations from international threats, mainly aimed at corporate espionage to gain economic advantages.
Benjamin Williams
>internet goes down >blockbuster and sex shops that sell dvds return from the grave
Elijah Campbell
If the internet went down it would be easy to "rise again"
Collaberation with Project Meshnet and Archive.org. Big sites like facebook already have metric fucktons of backups, but the traffic would throttle the meshnet. Ideally they would be replaced by forums. Other static sites can be restored by using archive.org. copies of software like wordpress could also be made avaliable.
Good. Let the age of decentralization begin.
Leo Ramirez
Hopefully the latest hentai collection will get down before that.
Nolan Gonzalez
I hope Russians make their own Internet. I can't stand this American-centered cuckhole.
Luis Kelly
>some skiddie runs nmap a few times >SOMEONE IS TAKING DOWN THE INTERNET okay.
Michael Gonzalez
And thus they need control.
Adam Cooper
It's alphabetical. T is before O.
Dumbass.
Dominic Cook
>T is before O
What
Benjamin Morris
this.
Hunter Richardson
...
Leo Bennett
the internet is not a place you go to consume content. It is for communication
the fact that you think of spending time on the internet as >I'll go to websites and consume content means you're probably a redditor
Jonathan Butler
>China or Russia would be my first guesses. More like USA and/or Soros.
Ethan Hughes
yes but good luck rebuilding the internet without an IBM 5100
James White
>someone That's a strange way to say United State of America The burgers are upset because we stole the government of internet. They're trying as much as they can to have a minimum of control. Typical fatass logic displaying in any blockbuster nowadays.
Ryder Cox
Ok but serious talk for a moment,
The internet goes down completely, how who you go to make one ? What will you need ? Or what will you need to connect to a new small dark internet ?
I think i'll just wait, trying to pick up a wifi every now and then but there's no way to know when it'll be up
Carson Jackson
>qmesh is taking longer than usual to entangle a connection
Isaac Phillips
It took me a second guys but I got it
Two starts with a T One starts with an O
T comes before O
Obviously it's completely wrong but still.
Ian Price
Hm
Mason Wilson
Someone very close to you... perhaps even tou yourself... is falling for media scare tactics and disinformation
Adrian Adams
Literally could only happen if the entangled quark fell into a black hole
