Would it be worth moving to Vancouver as a software developer?
I just want mild weather all year with decent walkability and don't want to move to the US.

Fuck off with this crap, seriously
Isn't Vancouver further north than Toronto? I know it's way west, and it's on the pacific. But I'd think it'd get equally cold as here in the winter. Maybe the ocean warms it up a bit, but I doubt it.
There's no jobs here. There's 20 thousand chinks that'll be applying for the same positions you'll be applying to. Also are you willing to pay about 800 minimum to rent a room? Maybe 1400 to rent a basement suite?
This city is shit, rich tourists raising the price of everything by double in some cases, chink investors that buy up/rent apartments and don't even fucking live here, and a homeless/disability population that is destroying any support for middle class. Good weather though.
>Canada
Are you retarded.
The average winter low is like +4 in December and January. We had one day of snow last winter, and it was less than an inch
As an american from the south who recently visited vancouver, I must ask how do you deal with it being cold all the time and the short days? I just don't get it.
Compared to where I'm from, Vancouver's temperatures are perfect.
don't forget vancouver being a poor mans hollywood.
poorer than the real hollywood but still high enough to help jack up the prices of everything.

Here's a quick decision chart:
>Should I move to Vancouver?
>Do I speak Mandarin? If yes, then move to Vancouver. If no, do not move to Vancouver.
shorter daylight in winter. longer in summer.
