I've heard it will when Microsoft stops supporting 7. There's a LOT of people who refuse to join the botnet or pay a premium for outdated hardware (OSX). Unless Apple releases a bare bones OS you pay for that works on all hardware (not happening, but one can wish), Linux will eventually have its day.
