I'll probably be using it till 2020 anyway. If not this then I'll have either upgraded to the Classic or no longer have a phone.

Whatever comes out in 2018.

Nexus 4

Its not a matter of whether "you'd be willing to use" or not.
Its a matter of whether "Google'd be willing to support" or not.

No it's not. Take the HTC Dream for example. Google stopped supporting it with Donut but you can still update it to at least Jellybean, if not newer versions. Even so, there's nothing stopping you from using it with Donut.

Probably a galaxy note 2 with cm14.

sony naite

Depressing

Samsung rumor. Great dumbphone.

iphone 7 plus 256gb
>software updates hopefully through ios14 or whatever
>buttload of storage

Western Electric 500.
Came out in 1949, still supported in 2016.

That's 67 years, what's 3 more?

forgot pic

I AM still using that phone (specifically, maguro) since it came out, OP, and let me tell you - the battery is completely fucked (now about 20 minutes screen-on time) but was never that good in the first place, no LTE (but does at least have HDSPA), it's very short of memory with modern Android, Texas Instruments closing their SoC division means the closed-source blob drivers haven't been updated so you have to backport what you can and scramble to run newer versions of Android, and it's generally a pain to work with.

On the other hand, it's survived a couple of drops onto concrete, it's got a removable battery, microSD card, NFC, headphone jack, and it's still alive.

I have no idea what I'd replace it with. There is nothing out that replaces all those features: everything is missing at least one, it looks like the LG V20 might finally be my saviour - but I will have to check the bands very carefully and maybe import it because they're not bringing it to the UK.

Get a OnePlus 3.

M'lady

Fuck off with your 9gag tier memes

Something like the Nokia 3210

Would still work just fine for calls and texting.

Dealbreaker with OnePlus 3: Non-removable battery.

Like I said, everything that's out fails at something in that very short list. Doubly so if you'd quite like USB-C. For example, the Moto G4 line doesn't have NFC, and the UK version of the Moto G4 Play only has 1GB RAM.

It's like everyone is purposely making phones for everyone but me, even though I'd be willing to spend a couple of grand.

just get another battery?

>get called out on being a 'le wrong generation' faggot
>get instantly butthurt and spout something about ogag
>not realizing that chad warden is one of the GOAT memes

anyways to stay on topic, pic related is my answer even though the aces are from 2011 and it'd be too slow to run a lot of modern apps it still works as personal organizer/2 factor auth which is the only thing you really 'need' a phone for aside from texting/calls/email, plus they're like $40 unlocked

You're retarded, I wasn't called out for shit. I'm calling you out for posting shitty 9gag tier memes.

all those glorious ROMs

This thing obviously

>tfw being able to run just about every OS under the sun

You were called out for being a contrarian 'le wrobg generation' fedora fag by posting a pic of a rotary phone. I'm not even the guy you originally responded to so calm your butthurt.

Like I said, I wasn't called out for shit. I'm not the one that posted the photo, dumbass.

So you're just a random faggot who got triggered by "M'lady"? Fedora Internet Defense Force?

>triggered
There you go with your 9gag tier memes again

Nobody cares about your taste in memes, go drink some bleach faggot.

...

no u

Anything with youtube and a browser.

Thanks for the image pal, mind if I save it?

No. Shit like Xperia Play, Htc Desire last 5 years primary because of Rooted Android device is complete operating system that does everything user could possible want out of operating system once you get a phone with good hardwre.

Good for calling, mp3, text, camera and tetris. The browser worked well too only it couldn't go on youtube and anything with videos.

My Nexus 4. Will use it as long as possible.

bleh forgot my picture

what went wrong with sony phones

>-large battery life last atleast 3 days
the battery lasts that long because you don't use the device anywhere near as much as a normal smartphone
my iphone 6s+ can easily last 3 days if I rarely use it, and I can get a week if I don't install any apps

Nokia N9. The last true Nokia and on another dimension from Symbian shit. The real Linux phone. Did everything I wanted, did it very well, and would still be doing it if Big Internet (Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) had kept open APIs for access instead of silo-ing eveything into approved (data-slurping) apps with stuff like API keys

i had that phone, was absolutely fantastic. if i had to go any older i would pick pic related

except apple hardware exclusive premium experience of ios

1/10

which third-world country still plans to use UMTS in 2020?
Just GSM is shit with all those time-outs due to latency and speed.

which GSM bands can it use?
carriers here are planning to re-use the low frequencies from 2G for 4G, 5G and just use the shitty higher ones for some alibi-2G network for their poor users with shitty phones (but those still should have 1800/1900MHz).

The best Windows Phone ever, when Windows Phone was a thing (or not). Amazing screen, fast af, removable and very strong battery, sd card, very cheap, pretty desu. But after 3 years and multiple falls, the usb port doesn't work anymore so no charge... ;( (i don't like my new LG G Flex 2)

This. Everything seems so shit, meanwhile my Nexus 4 works flawlessly.

i have no idea which band it uses, the battery went dead years ago and i threw it away since i managed to mangle the case quite a bit too

i've probably forgotten how shitty s60 was but this (2005) should be enough for calling, texting and as an emergency internet device

My friend still uses his Galaxy Nexus as daily-driver. It takes 3-6 seconds to navigate through menus (Stock ROM, no modding) and battery life is nonexistent as he still uses the original battery that came with the device. He gets a OnePlus 3 next friday and he's really looking forward to it :D

I would get me one of those fancy flip-phones with Android on them, that they sell in Asia. But I don't trust Asian sellers to send me them functioning all the way to Yurop.

>pic related, have it since release

God the Samsung nexus were shit. So glad LG got a hold of them so I could replace my nexus one with something not shit.

This phone. I loved it back then, i still like it.
Another option would be the Nokia N95. That shit was ahead of its time

Any smartphone would have to have LTE.

Any standard cell phone would just have to be flip, have GPS, and a 3.5mm and I would be happy.

So for smartphone I take the first LTE one, which I had, HTC Thunderbolt and a zillion batteries.

For regular phone LG Chocolate 3, becuz flip, 3.5mm, and GPS (and I had one, good phone)

I had this phone from 2009 to 2014. I'd use it till 2020 without any issue. But I replaced it with a shitty low-end HTC android phone because a girl asked me if I had whatsapp...

We were close...

iphone 5

>implying there will still be cellular networks in 2020

Whst about the Note 4? I believe it has all of that+an unlocked bootloader on all variants (including Verizon)

Had the K750, which was very related
>Good times

Most comfy phone I ever owned.

I used a Galaxy Nexus for three years.
Enjoy your horrible battery life. I bought an extended battery with the bulky rear cover, but it still was worse than my iPhone.

Whatever came out that year that has good features. Duh.

good design, good camera, physical keys...

This, would still have mine if it wasn't borken beyond repair

That feel when Sony will never make a cybershot phone ever again

Newest Iphone because android doesn support devices over 1 year old

My Moto X 2013 if it didn't end up in a friend's washing machine. It was the only android flagship worth buying as long as android has been a thing

my galaxy y is still working
stock rom is unusable at this point because of lack of storage

it just werks

underrated post

>being this underage

>underage calling adults underage

without ios sure

iOS 6 > android

All I care about is being able to listen to podcasts, look at 2d porn images, and occasionally watch 1080p video and an old-ass phone from 2011 is capable of all that.

can't we just have this exact phone but with bigger screen and smaller bezels

it was perfect until it got so laggy that I couldn't use it anymore because of forced iOS updates

used it until last year with iOS 4 or 5

iOS sucked till 7 came out, Android's still better than any version.

If only it wasn't so slow.
It had a good battery life, a nice design, and something I still miss to this days : a "directional pad".

Trackballs need to fucking come back

I had a Galaxy Nexus, and while they were great for custom roms the battery was so terrible that even with a extended battery it still died way before the end of the day.

As for me, if my Note 4 didn't have a cracked screen I would still be using it. If screen replacements were not so bullshit for the Note series I would fix it and use it right now.
