If you have to port forward there are a lot of tutorials of how to do so with google.
If you don't have access to the router or modem then you're SOL.
If you have the false information that you have to pay for a sever then you're wrong. While you install mumble it will ask if you want to install murmur (these are the sever files) and launch murmur and editing the config files.
