Since macOS is closed source it is more difficult than you would think. Also these people are doing it for free, so most of them are only working until it is "good enough".

If you want, you can just make your own theme. It is pretty unfortunate that theming on macOS is basically impossible.

I think Arc with OS X like close buttons comes really close.
