Have you ever been scammed on Ebay?

Have you ever been scammed on Ebay?

Be me.
Buy item.
Get email saying item dispatched.
Ask seller for tracking number.
Tracking number does not work.
Tell seller it does not work.
No reply.
Tell seller I want refund.
No reply.
Cannot raise Ebay buyer protection because item is marked as dispatched and estimated delivery date will not allow this until it is expired.
Raise dispute on Paypal instead.
Seller suddenly phones me to say they will refund but I need to close dispute.
I was caught on the hop in the middle of something so was not thinking straight.
Close Paypal dispute.
Seller fobs me off with excuse after excuse.
Paypal won't do shit as dispute is now closed.
Ebay won't allow buyer protection because it says Paypal case is open even when it's not.
Left in limbo with no money and no item as I did not use CC so cannot chargeback.

Ebay and Paypal are in cahoots and fucked me in the ass.

chinese shit does not usually come with tracking numbers that work and can take a VERY long time to get there. sometimes 2 months. This is why I use DX and all the sites listed in csg because they will always get within 3 weeks and give tracking which is weird in that it doesn't show daily updates but good enough to let you know within the week of when it's going to show up

scammed out of thirty seconds desu

Yeah but I always get my money back.

Also love false advertising.
>2A power bank
Really 1A. Get full refund.

>128GB usb
Really 4GB, get a full refund.

Been using eBay for years. Never got scammed. Got sent the wrong item once, seller mistake which he fixed without issue.

No, I have been lucky.

>buy chink bondage cuffs
>nigger steals them from my mailbox
>wait until the 2 month long shipping period is over
>say i never recieved it
>get refund

>buy chink displayport to dvi cable
>email chinks after a month of waiting
>they say they will resend another one and to wait another month

>buy old laptop
>description says it all works
>keyboard is dead
>email seller
>they are sending a free new kb for it because they sell them.

The seller keeps saying they cannot refund due to the Paypal case being open and they cannot access their Paypal to do the refund because they have access issues right now. It sounds like bullshit to me. When I try to click on Ebays 'I did not receive my item' it won't allow it because it says there is a Paypal case open which is not true because I closed it like a fool. So basically once you close a dispute on Paypal Ebay also prevents you from raising a buyer protection case. The companies are supposed to be separate but they are literally the same fucking company. How the authorities let this go on I will never know (well I do it's called greasy the palms of those in power).

I complained to both Ebay and Paypal and got nowhere. They both just tell you to go back to the seller or to contact the other company.

I'm going to only use Ebay for very low value items I cannot get elsewhere for now. Amazon treat me so much better than shitty Ebay and Paypal.

Buy from sellers with good rep next time.

>Close Paypal dispute.

You weren't scammed. This is 100% your fault. Why the FUCK would you give the seller your phone # anyways (or have your legit # in your ebay or paypal profile). Holy shit.

Sounds like you were impatient. Never had any issues buying on eBay.
But I do sell as well and I occasionally have gentoomen try and rip me off like you guys. For example, I had someone buy a laptop battery (for a thinkpad of course) and messaged me saying its dead with a threatening tone, I reply that it can't be dead since I check all batteries are charged before shipping, but it is possible that the battery does not work properly. Ask the autist to do some basic trouble shooting steps. He replies threatening negative feedback if I don't refund. I tell him I'll be glad to refund him, I'll send him a prepaid shipping label to return the battery and I'll give him a full refund. Autist spills spaghetti saying he doesn't want a refund and its his own fault for buying a cheap battery, leaves me neutral feedback anyways. I kept his 30$ though :^) no reasonable person would refuse to return a defective product for a full refund right?

I didn't even know the seller could see my phone number until I asked Ebay why they had my phone number. But they can get that info easily.

Just because the tracking number doesn't work doesn't mean he didn't send it retard. You're suppose to wait for the agreed shipping time period when you bought the item before making a dispute. Everything you listed is your fault.

You are spot on with that. I was impatient. I am used to Amazon dealing with my issue straight away. Ebay are sloooooow. So I jumped the shark and paid the price for it.

I've been burned a few times with faulty/not-as-described items, but have always managed to get my money back after opening a case. One time I won a case on appeal by a small technicality: an item was listed as "as-is untested" in the listing. It turned out to be faulty, and I cited that since the seller listed it as 'used', it was guaranteed to have at least some functionality. I'm still proud that I pulled that off.

You learned a hard lesson. Next time don't close any cases until you have a full refund.

I have always wondered what happens if someone is too embarrassed to ask for a refund for a sex toy item.
>Yes... I ordered... the part number xxxyyyxx and it never came... I mean it never arrived
>I'm having trouble looking up the account, what item was that?
>....

I actually got a chance to make a site for some porno club in town and went full autism on the domain registration redirection as the host has no chat or no way to do it automatically
>What is the domain name you're trying to point to our hosting?
>...It's the last one I put in my account
>is it (some old ass domain that isn't it)
>oh boy here we go

I have no shame, so i dont care. Its not like i will ever meet these people IRL.

Some time ago a guy placed high bids on all my stuff but never paid. Sent him an email asking for the money. He replied that the money had already been wired. Went on to check his profile but he was already banned.

No. I bought two used CPUs via ebay but they came clean. How reputable was your sender?

I bought from the one with the most stock and most number of positive reviews

What kind of domain registration service doesn't have an automated in terface?

I regularly scam people who try to break the rules on ebay. I've stolen may video game and dlc keys from sellers who were trying to sell the code via email. I always get a refund because it's against the rules to sell like that

this is their sales team. they really want you to buy a domain with them or transfer it both of which is 2-3x more than namecheap. the idea is to make them "sick" of calling and "just do it through them"

I don't think I understood a word of your post
