Got it locally, second hand, $60. Really good condition too.

>good sound

Mine could use some new earpads

I got them in 2010 and it was an impulse buy, I just needed some headphones.

And holy fuck, one of the best purchases I've ever made.

I live in a country that might as well still be using CRTs more than LED/LCDs in homes. I live in the capital and there's only one tech shop I could have bought retail without ordering anything online and paying a bit too much for everything including additional taxes.
This is pretty much the only good thing they had and I paid $38 for new ones + 2 year warranty. No idea why it was that cheap though.

aaaaandfuck

These speakers.

I'm not sure what to pick between Sennheisers, SSD or this little thing, pic related.

>cheap
>simple and neat electronics, completely passive
>solid performance in terms of crosstalk and linearity (good alps pot, good transformers)
>built like a tank, metal and wood only

The Sansui AS-300 speakers in this photo of our living room setup were $25 for the pair at Goodwill. They are the best speakers I've ever heard. I don't seem to have a photo of them with the grills off, but they are 3-way design with a 3" tweeter, 6.5" mid, and 12" woofer in sealed cabinets.

Hi baldness at a young age.

Second choice would be SSD.

What the fuck are you on about?

condoms, lube, duct tape and a knife

A friend of mine donated USD1 to Synergy, they later gave him a free premium membership, and later on ten premium memberships to pass around, one of which ended up in my hands. He basically transformed USD1 into USD110. That's one purchase with a hell of an ROI.

Where's the tech on that?

4 eMacs for $40. Sold 3 for $50 each. Middle school me felt rich.

I thought for a moment you were selling emacs on floppys.

Nope, big, retardedly heavy PPC Macs. I still have the 4th one, but its dead.

With the RAM doubled to 2GB, and the hard disk swapped with a SSD.

Bought these for $80 in combination with my HD Audio chip they sound amazing.

Creative Inspire T6100

probably ssd
would recommend saving up bit more for audio
passive speakers can be with you for decades

not my x201

are you wearing a skirt dude ?

Cargo shorts as usual. Looks like the gap between the legs is fairly visible to me.

Raspberry pi

WDTV live, simple no-frills player for locally stored media. Been using it daily for years.

now be honest,
do you have any use for it?

...

Correct

...

Yes, i love it. I bought it just for wake on lan server, but later i started to use it as git and http server. I'm waiting for usb to sata adapter to arrive in mail, and will use it with 1 TB hdd for nextcloud and seedbox.
Best fact about pi is it's insignificant power consumption.

My worst tech purchase over $100?
Tablet.
