Galaxy S7 Active, 4000 mAh monster battery, no cellular use at home (I do everything with Google Voice/Hangouts, all calls and SMS, etc), only use cellular on the go for brief periods, brightness on the Super AMOLED at 40-45%.

I started watching videos at just under the 50% point, if I hadn't this thing would easily go 3 fucking days on a charge.

Now if I could just unlock the bootloader, root, and use a custom kernel I could probably get 4 working days on a charge.

Is there a way to get battery life on par with iOS or Windows Phone on android?
And I don't mean just fucking underclocking the CPU/GPU.
My phone lasts only 4 days on standby, compared to my old iPhone that lasts over a week, or my Lumia, which lasted about 3 weeks.

Yeah dude, I was in a weird spot because I couldn't flash the security updates (TWRP etc for root), but it dropped 7 on here just fine. There are some things I like, but they made the battery/data graphs look retarded. Split screen works a lot better than the hacked up shit you could unlock on 6
