Stubborn people

If market share determined what I did I would be listening to Justin Bieber and watching The Big Bang Theory. I don't care what everyone else is using. I have everything set up how I like it with the add-ons I want.

It's all preference senpai.

MUH ADDONS is my only reason.

I don't mind it being less snappy then the rest as long as it has good customization.

this

how did the mighty fall?

This sums up Cred Forums and Cred Forums

This is what happens when you forget the selling points of your browser in the first place.

>literally choosing aesthetics over performance

when did Cred Forums become so pleb? I bet you have LEDs inside your computer case too.

I finally switched to opera. It's amazing how much faster it is.

this. seriously, fuck the freetard meme. chropera is great.

>7% market share
Not according to Awstats on my website (which doesn't contain anything obvious to cause any bias).

That being said, I hug onto Firefox for so long, hoping they'd realize how badly the fucked up and fixed it, and finally gave up a few months ago.

Now I use seamonkey and palememe. So much bloat removed, and so many addons not required to fix stupid bullshit...

just reading about all of google's faggotry during this election cycle prompted me, about a week ago, into using firefox + duck.

so far the test run is going smoothly. srsly tho i think chrome had better addons.
ex: for youtube i was using 'Youtube Options' within chrome to set the player to a custom size and i've yet to find anything like that for firefox

It just werks

Does anyone use Brave browser?

*like shit

Because it has amazing password management that syncs perfectly. I never had good luck with Chrome's password management, it had trouble detecting most login forms last time I tried.

>customization
>addons
>e10 seems to go well

I have an odd experience with Chromium based browsers. At first they are snappy , responsive etc. but after some time they turn into a laggy piece of crap.

I guess it's personal preference and/or experience on the users hardware.

Because it's not Chrom*

I used to use it exclusively, loved all the add-ons which made life easier. But about a year ago (I think) it stated to freeze up on Cred Forums allot. It's not like this is a very resource hungry website. Opening threads in new tabs would lock it up for about 15 seconds. Images too forever to load. Every other sites was fine, just 4 Chan. I even had a clean install and it was still broken as shit. So that's when I dropped it. Kinda miss it though.

there is a userscript called better youtube or youtube enhancer or something like that

>add on are only for aesthetics

No, I'm choosing functionality over performance.

had the same problem. especially with catalogs. installing 64bit version and enabling e10s helped a bit, still has the same problem though and hangs every now and then.

You have to close your browser every once in a while and clear caches, normie.

No.

Use Startpage.com (plus Ixquick.eu) instead if you care about privacy. They don't show your query in the URL.

Firefox may have lower share reportedly because users know how to mask the fact they're using FF. Don't know for sure.

I went to IceCat.

>using a google

>Firefox may have lower share reportedly because users know how to mask the fact they're using FF. Don't know for sure.

How do you do that?

no script

By changing your user agent.

>everything you do is logged to a user profile

OMG JSUT LIEK IN FIREFOX

It's kind of sad.
Especially for the Android where Firefox with ublock origin is the tits.

What do you have to hide?

A user agent switcher.

But a negligible amount of people use them, and even then, who's to say they had it enabled whenever this data was collected? Why would anyone want to hide what browser they were using?

Fuck off retard

Wrong, dipshit.

i don't

>tfw keep hearing all these people talk about how shit firefox has become and im still using version 38, no lockups or freezes, its snappy and just werks
I dont know if I should update or what, but I like how it currently works for me. I admit Chrome does feel faster but it also consumes way too much cpu compared to my current ff install.
>inb4 using outdated browsers

>normie

After a year of being a NEET useless turd like you that is a compliment :^)

like dis?

>what is ad revenue
>selling android devices, chromebooks, google play apps
>youtube red

>Why would anyone want to hide what browser they were using?
To not stand out

Anyone tried brave.com/downloads.html yet?

Because a lot of ad companies develop profiles for you by your browser fingerprint and over enough time figure out who you are possibly

Why would you?

Palemoon is better. Firefox forgot what people got Firefox for and it just became a bloated mess like any other browser.

I misspoke, the point I was trying to make is that only a very small number of people (negligible in terms of the study) would spoof their user agent.

I'm using chris pederick's user agent switcher on firefox, for what it's worth.

Palemoon doesn't have any cool extensions

FF still has the best extensions, Chrome doesn't even have self-destructing cookies and that is the most basic one

Who cares about cool extensions? As long as it allows you to get to the sites you want, who gives a shit?

I can't think of something Firefox has that palemoon doesn't that's actually essential.

palememe doesn't have e10s

>Who cares about cool extensions?
Firefox users.

Tree-style tabs. Does that work on Palemoon?

Tree-style tabs and a Vimperator-like addon are absolutely essential for me.

extensions are a major part of the browser wtf

I can't wait until Chrome kills / gimps adblockers like Safari and you people come crawling back ... and they will do it, it's just a matter of when ... probably at 98% market share or some other ridiculous google fanboi driven mistak#

No, like this.

jokes on you I have a pi-hole to block ads

so I can go on using chrome :3

Your sole metric for using a web browser is whether other people are using it?

vanilla cookies does the same job

Will Vivaldi ever be gud? Looks like I have no other choice but to switch to opera/vivaldi.

It has nothing to do with aesthetics.

No.

Original creator of firefox made it, the guy who was kicked off the firefox team right before firefox went to shit

love the pic

I know

I've been on Waterfox for years now. Firefox went to shit, so I went with a fork.

just use opera. free built in vpn and built in ad blocker

Because Im paranoid as fuck and Ive used firefox since I was 12 and never had my browser steal my bank info and I just cant bring myself to use anything else because I'm too fucked in the head to try to trust even google, the most trust worthy company ever.

Honestly though, Ive been sick of firefox since about firefox 15. They keep changing shit that doesn't need to be changed. Fuck with my buttons. disable shit like alt click save. Ive been wanting to get a new browser, but I just dont know..

mozilla is so fucking cucked Im surprised firefox doesn't dox me for saying nigger.. wtf am I suppose to do? Why cant the things I like stay good..

Because I want to

*Chropera

Literally all I use it for is its Video DownloadHelper add-on which works much better in FireFox than Chrome.

So what performance was sacrificed?

Why should i care about normies? I value their biased, dumb, "opinions" as fart in the wind.

Actually there's more to it than that.
privateinternetaccess.com/blog/2015/06/google-chrome-listening-in-to-your-room-shows-the-importance-of-privacy-defense-in-depth/

Why do you shut the door when you go to a public bathroom if you have nothing to hide?

Because all humans have a need for privacy. I don't want Google or the NSA having the ability to remotely tap my browser to listen in when I have a reasonable expectation of privacy in my own home.

the difference is actually very noticeable. I tried to switch back to firefox from chrome several times and always ended up coming back due to just how fucking clunky firefox feels these days.

I shut the door because of society

If everyone was ok with shitting with the door open I would be fine with it.

Privacy is not a right it is a privilege

>98% market share
Exactly, it'll be too late to do anything by then I imagine, jewgle will have even more control and a mere browser change won't be enough to fix things.

How shit is Edge? It's not that I'm gonna use it, just wondering.

In 2004 it saved me from browser hell. Not to mention the Mozilla Dev team helped Google Chrome. Google donates to Mozilla OS. So why give a fuck if it's "7%" go use your Edge browser and GTFO.

remember that reaction image you posted? time warner's lawyers remember.

it's the only browser that allows any sort of meaningful customization. chrome is for slow people who don't want to optimize their workflow.

Add ons, there aren't Chrome equivelants for the adds ons I use, plus I'm used to the WebIDE which I use a lot.

Everything is snappy on a 1TB PCIe SSD so speed really isn't an issue.

That's just an example, there are a myriad of other examples in which you have an expectation of privacy and would not want to be monitored. Unless you're just being contrarian.

>Privacy is not a right it is a privilege

According to who? The government? I disagree, it's a fundamental human right. And without it any society (which ours already is) will start slipping into an Orwellian future.

There's nothing wrong with recent versions of Firefox, unless you use Windows. Firefox is much better optimised for Linux, pale moon is better on Windows.

Vivaldi is just Chromium but even more botnet. Why the fuck would you ever use that?

Explain, user? I use Nightly on Windows.

Firefox has served me faithfully for over a decade now. If it gave me a reason to switch I would.

What happened to "If it isn't broken, don't fix it"? Seems to have disappeared with Generation Z, if these threads are any evidence.

id use it but it crashes too much

And even more bloated. It's basically a Chromium web app

I have stuff to hide. Got a problem with that?

Hope you're baiting because that is precisely why people are angry. Firefox was once a great browser and they didn't need to keep fucking with it to make it more like Chrome.

>What happened to "If it isn't broken, don't fix it"?
Only stupid people actually believe that shit.

Stone wheels weren't broken.
Deer antler pickaxes weren't broken.
Moss as wound dressing was not broken.

If people didn't constantly fix what "is not broken" we would still be in the dark ages.

>If people didn't constantly fix what "is not broken" we would still be in the dark ages.
I don't see the issue.

I don't have to 'keep fucking with it.'

Not sure if I understand.

youtube.com/watch?v=eb1vcaqAivY

Because of extensions.

But speaking of e10, it's apparently disabled for me right now because of add-ons. But it looks like Mozilla's roadmap says all extensions will work with e10 come version 51. Is that true? When I first heard about the feature people were worried it would kill our add-ons.

OP
Firefox just works on obsolete OS like XP etc
also well on Obsolete hardware / software.

And that and prefernce.

...

>allow government to monitor you at all times through your cell phone microphone/webcam microphone/computer activity/cell phone GPS
>allow government to get further in bed with communication companies
>allow government to be able to turn on and turn off your devices remotely
>allow government to block your communications

I can't imagine a more plausible creep towards a hellish totalitarian government in America

Privacy and independency from the government is absolutely a right. Government is nothing but a bunch of people, and when people get too much control over other people abuse occurs.

isn't that a good thing? anyway it works perfectly on my haswell based system i put together in 2015 so im not sure what obsolete hardware means to you.

>Firefox just works on obsolete OS
This is why all GNU/Linux distro come with firefox ???

this

>why would you use this shit browser?
it does what i need, pale moon and sea monkey have small issues for me that bug me more (the former feels too slow/sluggish browsing some sites and the latter keeps crashing with no survivors but it feels snappier than fox does at this point), i don't really like chrome-type or webkit browsers, and the opera i use to use is deprecated at this point

really it's all i got aside from text browsers and placebo.

Why do people assume if you have something to hide, it must be illegal?

Because they're NSA employees working to get the masses to think that way. They're trying to train us into thinking privacy is only something criminals value. That and trolls.

because they're dumb
it's the same people that assume privacy == hiding things when it's really about control of information.

i may be fine with giving out everything about myself, but i want the full control to do so without going through really hacky or retarded options

Ja

Real talk lads.
Installed Arch on this shit-tower fucking garbage PC someone gave to me. Old, outdated hardware.

Now, I'm not sure if it's the hardware, or software, but... I can't run Youtube videos properly in 60fps. I drop about half my frames in both Chrome and Firefox.

And, speaking of that comparison,

Firefox has shittier performance than Chrome does. What the fuck gives? I switch tabs on Firefox and it takes 10 seconds to multiple minutes, whereas I run Chrome, have 10 tabs just fine, and switching only takes 2-2.5 seconds.

Are there optimizations I can do?

It's flawed logic that those in power use to control the masses.

>You have nothing to hide right? You're not doing anything wrong right? Well then you have nothing to worry about. We're just trying to catch the "terrorists" and protect "the children".

Am I the only one who has never really had any issues with Furryfox?

The only things I can think of were always caused by me getting a bit too greedy and cavalier with add-ons.

this. fuck the norm. fuck everyone else.

Can't customize Chrome, also botnet. Opera is a buggy mess, also Chinese botnet. Edge is just a reskinned IE. What do you want me to use, Netscape?

>I'm too fucked in the head to try to trust even google, the most trust worthy company ever.
>most trust worthy company
>ever

wew lad

And what the hell Im supposed to use?

Botnet Chrome? Shitty Chromium? Pretty okay IE that sadly have no addons? Edge that is beyond crap? Chromium-based Opera that looks and works like crap? Outdated old Opera version?

"Market share" my ass. Everybody jump on Chrome because "hurr, durr, guys on the net said it is fast and I wont use IE because lol IE everybody says that 6.0 was shit so surely today version is shit too!".

World is not like Neptunia games, browser with low shares wont suddenly perform worse than before.

Is it possible to develop add-ons for IE?

IE can use add-ons, its just that nobody makes those, except for rare exceptions like AV ones.

MS decided to abandon IE with coming of Win10 and their shitty Edge, plus a lot of retards around the net still says things like "IE? Lol 6.0 was shit, right?", when its 2016 already and 6.0 is some ancient history, but some people likes to feel "cool" by repeating ancient memes over and over, to feel "pro" or something (for some reason, there are people actually believing that openly admitting to use Chrome instead of IE makes them "hackers" or something. While they still stick to Windows XP because "lol Win7-10 are botnets, everybody says so on the internet!" instead of switching to some Linux distro, if they are so worried about it).

Its all about lack of popularity and bad reputation.

GMX doesn't work on pale moon.

I prefer using green LEDs to improve energy effeciency.

TREE
STYLE
TABS

Chrome doesn't have a proper analog to it, and likely won't. Firefox still has more flexibility in extensions, and what all an extension can do in the first place.

The IE hatred mostly came from shitty "web devs" who didn't realise that IE was far more often than not way out on the bleeding edge in terms of implementing new technologies and thus the first under the gun over "muh standards"

This has always stuck a massive craw up the W3C's asshole, even though the entire web markup/styling model is completely broken on principle. HTML5 doesn't even offer "strict validation" as an option any more.

wrong, the internet and associated technologies moves quickly. open source projects can adapt. bloatware designed by microshit and overseen with 12 layers of pajeet management can't keep up. so you have drastically different levels of support for things as basic as javascript in different browsers.

I got this after updating to 51

How about you kill yourself and let me use what I want to use. I have my freedom of choice and I don't care about you autists telling me what to use

Chrome faggots actually have the audacity to say they have vertical tabs and recommend this addon

>you will see the day opera has more marketshare than firefox
I feel good because furryfux were bragging when oldopera was put to death. Who's laughing now?

Internet Explorer - NSA Spyware
Edge - See above
Chrome - See above
Opera - See above
k-meleon - Windows only

Firefox is literally the only choice for people who value their privacy.

Addons will be gone by this time next year; they've pledged to completely remove XUL from Firefox by the end of 2017. It will be replaced by a new Chrome-like extension system. Start stretching out your anus now.

First it was no more unsigned addons, then it was no more tab groups, now they're gutting the entire extension framework. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they remove Live Bookmarks too. The reasons to use Firefox have dwindled so quickly it's amazing.

I use Palemoon now but I'm starting to be inconvenienced by it because sites register it as an old version of Firefox and give me warnings about it, some don't even display properly. What a depressing state of affairs.

Literally no reason to switch
it's not slow
it has all the add-ons
it looks better than all its concurrents

Internet explorer has the lead in market share. Why aren't you using it?

There was a time when chrome didn't have a full plugin api and a weak as piss extensions api and all it had going for it was its much much nicer codebase.

Well that'll be firefox come a few versions in the future. A lot of things will still work but there won't be any really compelling reason to stick with it aside from not being google'd (quite as much).

Servo looks great, electrolysis is going to match chrome's sandboxing to make it not a laughingstock of security, they have this whole 'jetpack' and bootstrapped extensions... which are worse, but not worse than chrome maybe? But bad.

Everything will be signed, but only by mozilla who is an evil corporation. Nobody cares about XUL, that was a bunch of silly babby shit and really a version or so of API break and it got fixed up completely.

>Linux 2% desktop market share

Why would you use this shit OS

Because every other browser is shittier, especially Chrome

What else would I use? Chrome, so I can load web pages a fraction of a second faster (which is a complete non-factor as long as you don't have third world internet) while throwing aesthetics and functionality out the window?

For the "all browsers" stats, since all Apple Inc.'s platforms use the Safari browser, including macOS and iOS (such as in iPhone and iPad) with the WebKit engine, Safari's percentage is counting all these users.[

so... iphone and android users aswell? so maybe firefox is best for pc anyway. fucktard you did not convince me. play somewhere else

wut

People who use Chrome, Edge, Opera etc.

The reason it appears to lead faster is because it is actively downloading in the background the pages that it thinks you might click on.

Basically, if you're using Chorme to browse on Cred Forums, it is registering a 'click' to every single link and image posted on a page without you doing anything.

If you are happy to click every single link ever posted on Cred Forums, be my guest.

The discussion is about why Chrome is faster than other browsers, why are you talking about how to disable it? If speed is the only reason for why you would use Chrome and then you disable the things that makes it faster than Firefox then you might as well just use Firefox

Because Chrome without prefetch is still faster?

[citation needed]

No. Chrome is just faster.

Firefox market share is inexistent in the smartphone - tablet market (even though android version is pretty good).
And in the dwindling desktop market they aren't doing that good.
It's sad because when Google becomes a monopoly adblockers and privacy tools will be abolished, since they go against their main business models.

Yes, this is the default setting.

Clicking on every link and image on this page, and on every page you visit on Cred Forums, as well as sending everything you type into the address bar back to the US government, is the default behaviour of Chrome.

Ostensibly, to track you for marketing purposes.

Behind he scenes, who knows.

That's why I use firefox.

exactly

becuz chrome tracks

What's market share if Linux?

Google should be punished by the EU with a big fine because they don't pay enough EU tax

1.5%

firefox has anti-tracking protection, that's why it's not tracked and the stats are low

best browser.

How outdated is it? If it's a P4, there's probably nothing you can do. If its a C2D, then it's just shitty software, as my ~8 year old laptop has no trouble with it.

If you're using the HTML5 version, try the flash player, it's usually less CPU intensive.

Show me a Chrome fork for PowerPC OS X.

This , in addition to countless and unimaginably useful addons that other browsers don't have, we FF users can switch around our user profile to fight jewish privacy violations

You're just making yourself easier to fingerprint when you do that, you know...

Do what you think is right THEN ask others what they think of your tastes/actions or you can simply don't give a shit at all.
Not the other way around.

No. The amount of 'people using anti-tracking features making the stats look low' is so laughably inaccurate that I'm inclined to think you're baiting.

It's enabled by default

It's called preloading and it's been addressed several times in this very thread

>not running RGB for instant system tuning
I think we found the real noob.

I thought preloading was just a chrome thing, not a webkit thing. Does this mean Maxthon, Vivaldi, Edge, Chromium, Safari, etc all are preloading shit? I checked with IE too, it's fast as fuck. I'm pretty sure it's just Firefox and Palemoon that have this problem.

I'm not a virgin though. I'm an autist though and if you met me you might think I was one.

>It's basically a Chromium web app
is it the greatest prank of all time?

I sincerely hope the devs are joking. Vivaldi reminds me of this webpage I used to use on my PSP, I think it was just called PSPChrome. You'd save on on the memory stick and it'd look like Chrome and you could browse websites within it

>3rd party software designed to view web pages
If a browser has features such as viewing PDFs, then clearly viewing web pages is not all it was designed to do.

Fuck off moron

I also use my browser to view MP4 files and listen to MP3s. How much does this trigger you, turboautist?

It doesn't "trigger" me but it does make you retarded.

>muh google

fuck off

Can you calmly explain why you think so instead of sperging out like a manchild?

Browsers are for viewing web pages, video players are for playing videos, and music players are for playing music.

I don't, it's garbage and I realized that years ago.

>browser is capable of viewing web pages
>browser is capable of playing video
>browser is capable of playing music

Just because you can doesn't mean you should. I mean you're free to if you want, but you're retarded.

You've yet to specifically explain why I shouldn't with any facts or evidence, friend.

Its shit at doing them

>trying to view netflix on fagfox

IT HURTS TO LIVE

soon there'll be more opera users than fagfox users

>viewing fagflix

>browsing sites with a browser

wew

I don't think so, you just heard some 4th hand information on that and don't know what you're talking about, you're a pathetic fraud

Explain to me how switching around the user agent makes it easier to spot you.

It doesn't you IDIOT

Evidence? Proof?

/thread

Because there are dedicated programs that do it better.

Firefox does it REALLY BADLY too, they can't even shove HTML5 video/audio into plugin-container, it's done in gecko I imagine. Combine that with their memory mismanagement and you've got videos playing after the tabs are dead and shit. MAYBE they never go away, you can't know.

Electrolysis should fix that slightly more than it is now.

It doesn't do passthrough audio
It doesn't do scaling
It doesn't have specific plugins
It doesn't support a wide enough range of formats
It simply breaks down regularly
Its not efficient

Werks for me.

The plugins are specified by the standard
The formats are specified by your system
It totally breaks the fuck down constantly what the fuck firefox where is e10s
It's efficient.

No need to call someone an idiot. Be mature and have an actual discussion. Too hard, I know... But anyways... It depends what you do. If you switch it to Chrome, you're probably not doing yourself a favor. If you're using some obscure browser you have to do it so you don't stand out. Instead of hiding behind something... Hide in plain site. If you're using Palemoon or whatever don't make an effort to hide anything, you stand out... Instead just change the agent to Chrome and you'll hide in plain site. Same reason you don't use things like do not track because, ironically, sites that you don't want to track you WILL track you because there's a reason since you stand out saying not to.

It's a losing battle this way. To win, hide in plain site. Here's a better example... I used to get doxed a lot... I tried so hard to hide shit but realized it was impossible and hindered my real life therefore, I hide in plain site with someone else's information. So, when people dox me they think they got me because they're insecure and autistic, but really they have someone else.

Easy peasy.

What the hell, his latest album is distributed as an LP?
I'm genuinely surprised

thanks for the meme guys, just installed opera and it's already crashed 5 times
>click battery saver icon
>click "enable"
crash
>reopen
>poke around in settings
>disable and reenable battery saver
crash
>reopen
>open private window
crash
>try again
crash
>wtf, how is such a basic behavior broken
crash
>uninstall

>why would you use this shit browser?

Because its not chrome or Internet Explorer.

Because this shit browser has lazy loading which is mandatory for session manager users.
Because this shit browser allows me to open most video streams via a context menu addon via MPV, while Chrome has no "open with" option which tracks formats.
Because this shit browser has addons that i need and is customizable.
Because this shit browser isn't set to harass me and dissuade me from using 3rd party software that improves Google services more than Google is capable of, like YoutubeCenter.

LP is just Long Play and everything is on Vinyl for that hipster crowd nowadays anyway

Nice. And all add-ons work?

>Justin Bieber and watching The Big Bang Theory.

To be fair, TBBT only had 14 million viewers this week. That's only 4% of the US.

I'm sure Bieber is worse off.

Still 250% more market share than Linux.

Is there ANY *MODERN* browser that runs on GNU/Linux that isn't a Chromium fork and uses GTK or Qt?

qutebrowser, runs on PyQt5 and QtWebkit and is fully hardware accelerated. Shit's pretty nuts, but obviously you don't have a lot of the amenities of a larger sponsored browser

Wait for Servo.

Servo technically has a standalone proof-of-concept I believe.

Using something just because it's the most popular is retarded. Argumentum ad populum or whatever.

I use Firefox because:
1. It's a completely FOSS project where Chrome/Chromium isn't
2. FF extensions are more versatile than Chrome extensions

>Chromium
Where is chromium not FOSS?

I'd use Firefox it were proprietary.

Well there was a builtin that called chrome binary blobs until recently, there may be more. Audits are tough.

There's also a lot of hardcoded calls to google services, rather than the softer calls from firefox. Less free software issue more skeevy tracking bullshit.

Also I'm not sure where the media DRM extensions comes in with chromium, but that's definitely not free software.

Google snuck their botnet into it

>isn't broken

Firefox appears to become slower and slower with prolong use before eventually crashing.
It hangs constantly.
It crashes after resuming from suspend almost every time.

In fairness, part of this is how bloated websites have become (seriously look at site like tumblr) and I'm sure 3rd party plugins such as flash hold some of the blame. But end users don't care about excuses they just want to get shit done hence the mass exodus to Chrome.

Hardware, dude. Must be fairly old if it can't handle youtube.

I have seriously never experienced slowdown (outside the CONSTANT slowness) but my browser is so hacked up and janked out that I couldn't say for sure what fixed it or what causes it elsewhere.

I would advise finding a way to not let it write to disk UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, that's most of the problem.

Dunno about fixing suspend issues, thats totally different.

It comes with Ubuntu you faggot. Enjoy your Google botnet.

Firefox's built-in tracking protection only applies to private windows. To suggest that it has any sort of meaningful effect on usage stats is laughable.

Just use ungoogled chromium

That seems fine on windows or debian, yes. Probly in the AUR too.

Get Firefox Test Pilot. It has an experimental feature that applies the tracking protection to regular windows too. Personally I still prefer Privacy Badger though

ummm...

theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2013/11/the-nsas-porn-surveillance-program-not-safe-for-democracy/281914/

It runs great on mac too

I don't use firefox, but why do you even bother coming here considering most people on this board praise things with low market share? (linux, firefox, weird search engines, etc)

Yeah, it's true. I remember he was a complete tool, but to be fair to him, you'd be one too. Being that successful and 'powerful' at such a young age is going to corrupt anyone, especially if you haven't discovered yourself as a person yet. I remember being a complete know-it-all asshole at 18 and if I had millions of dollars and millions of fans, it would have made it thousands of times worse. He handled himself pretty well all things considered.

He's certainly much better now. He turned himself around really well. His latest album is really solid and a prime example of good mainstream music. Even past haters agree he's good now... Remember when it was cool to hate on him? Now it just makes you look stupid if you do. Talk about a turn around.

Wrong. He's MUCH better off. Especially now. This is the highest point in his career and Purpose is by far his best album, objectively. Although all of them were successful statistically.

Big Bang Theory is just... Ugh. It's almost a slap in the face to actual Cred Forumsentlemen. Mr.Robot (from what I hear) is a more realistic depiction of technology.

Last modern browser supported in OS X 10.7.

because I love to made fun of retards

treestyletabs

are these gud

I want firefox to be good. But it has major issues. Linux ff won't run flash videos without bringing a midrange desktop to its knees.

Nice English.

do Greasemonkey and DownThemAll have any equivalents as powerful/versatile on chromium/chropera ?

i think some sites might eat cpu depending on how it interacts with an adblocker

i never had any issue in Cred Forums in particular, did you try a different adblocker? but anyways 4ch isnt too heavy in ads

every once in a blue moon i find a site that goes nuts on ffox and i just try in on chromium, perhaps its those webmasters that re-use functions from google libraries for captcha/ads that must be optimized for chrom* idk

other than that i never got this idea of any browser being faster, ive tried some dozens of tabs on some sites, on my dual core 1.5ghz 2gbram and ram usage isnt that different, and content loading speed is bandwidth, not browser

>If it gave me a reason to switch I would.

Why haven't you switched yet then?

Chromium/chropera has tamper monkey, which is the same thing.

Not sure about Down Them All

arent you just using an old fox profile slowed down with too much data?

what is this "4x longer to load"

i just started a new fox profile

set Moz_no_remote=1
start "ff" "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -profile "c:\browser-profs\deleteme"

and it takes 4 seconds to render in my assold 1600mhz PC, so youre saying chrome would take 1s, WHOA im either loosing 2seconds per tab or you can read an entire webpage in 1 second

Literally you can install tampermonkey in either and inject as many shitty pieces of javascript in as many sites with a single add-on. I don't know why people stick to the single-addon-for-a-single-prpouse approach (I bet it's because they don't understand what javascript is)

Shitty enough to keep opening links even after you disabled it as "default browser". But I guess I'm really saying that Windows is shit, not Edge by itself

... of course ... why would you install linux having a "non-obsolete" hardware? Firefox works better on linux, chrome can became almost unopenable on a notebook.. (just talking about linux notebooks)

Just install uBlock Origin, you AdBlocker newfag.

Because devs can then deside if they serve shitty version of website or bloatware version.

Its just your opinion.

: ^ )

I change myself to a Windows / IE user most of the time, but I switch it around a lot and delete cookies. So instead of just staying in one place hiding in plain sight I attempt to obfuscate things so there's no one profile at all

a

that person a
that person b
that person c
that person etc

instead of just a single profile

It's not hard , just have to switch user agents from time to time and use self-destructing cookies. I have a VPN also, obviously, so they don't just pin me to one IP

But also the user agent thing could impact security as maybe a compromised site tries to injects the wrong payload

I wish you faggots would read the fucking wiki once in a while.
Use Iridium if you like Chrome. Use one of the unfucked Firefox spinoffs if you like Firefox.

tree style tabs

>I don't care what everyone else is using.

Your web browser isn't what kind of music you listen to or what color tie you wear. If people stop using firefox, mozilla will go even deeper down the drain and web developers will stop supporting it. It'll become a historical artifact that can't browse the modern web.
