lastpass

pasd

I use a series on numbers and symbols, then a word specific to the website that I use, then another series of numbers and symbols

This leads to 1) no two passwords the same, and
2) memorability

i just set enable to "allow blank password" in group policy

Just write them on a file and encrypt it, anything more than that is bloat and botnet. Only retards use password managers.

you mean zx2c4 pass?

>what is convenience
when did Cred Forums get to this level of autism

I use lastpass for shitty websites that I don't give a shit about because it's easy to just click "generate" and not give a fuck if I ever lose access to the shit.

But anything that has my real name(which is pretty much anything that needs to be connected to payment) I use a different password manager.
2 pieces of paper and a pen.
1 in my safe in case a fire happens, the other on my desk while I'm at home. And beneath the lose board right next to my desk when I'm away.

I use my own

>convenience

Something that my way has and your hasn't. I bet the whole 15 seconds it takes me to access all my passwords is less than what it takes for you to launch the bloatware and look for the one password you need among all the bloatware functions.

>- Do you use a password manager?
Yes
>- Which one?
Google Chrome's sync thingamanjingy. The botnet has arseimilated me
>- Are password managers a meme?
Not if done correctly. Chrome's isn't.

Brain.db

2 seconds to login with my master password and select profile.
Then all web forms instantly filled.

Keepass
And just before yesterday I migrated to lastpass.

why switch? isn't lastpass proprietary?

You know how bitcoin wallets generate 12 random words?
Is there a password keeper that can do that but only 4 words for me?

I use pic related.

Yeah, and cloud too.
But, I got tired everytime I want to make new password account, I have to go in the sync process between my devices which is pain in the ass for keepass.

keepass for me.
I also use the generator to make answers to 'what is your mother's maiden name'

Keepass with password as well as external keyfile on an sd card.

LastPass.

It's much quicker to generate passwords, login, sync etc. and it also has some neat features like holistically judging how good your passwords are and telling you which ones to change. Only disadvantage is that it's not transparent (open source), but I trust them for the most part

I used Lastpass but then I forgot the master pw and had to start from scratch. I still don't know how to log into many of my accounts. I write them down in a physical notebook now.

>SD CARD suddenly damage
Kys

>implying i don't keep backups

I don't trust neither
Thats why all my important accounts, I have 2FA enabled.

Same. 2FA is a godsend.

Then your whole process is useless.

On a notebook.

Seriously. 20 character passwords written on a single secure notebook and well locked place is perfect imo.

My dropbox is created before 2012 and I'm sure it is comprised at this stage as it request a pass reset when I try to logon through the website.
I didn't give a fuck simply because the 2FA is enabled.

I save them on a wordpress blog so I can always access them wherever there is internet access.

The point is that if my computer was remotely hacked they wouldn't be able to access the database. If someone broke into my house I'd be screwed no matter what.

I use Keepass and have the database file sync'd with MEGA.

What if.. you were opening the keepass when your computer remotely hacked?

Create your own password schema and instead of writing down or memorizing passwords, just memorize the schema.

For EXAMPLE,

1. Write vowels as numbers, (a,e,i,o,u) = (1,2,3,4,5)
2. Hold down shift for the first vowel
3. Hold down shift for the first non vowel/number
4. Pad the end with the year Hitler was born

A unique password for every website.

If you get one of those fucked up websites that makes you change your password every month and you can't use the previous 5 or so passwords, just add the month at the end.

Keychain, you mong. why would you need anything else? do you like security breaches? is your data and privacy that unimportant

Then I'd have to be dumb enough to get it hacked in the first place

I use dropbox for that

> Where do you write down your passwords

I don't.

youtube.com/watch?v=lc7scxvKQOo

Exactly.
So it doesn't matter whether you use keepass/etc at this point.

Yeah, I use a text book.

>writing your passwords down
>he doesn't know john mcaffee's primary method of hacking is to break into your house and find your passwords (and kill you)

>Keychain

Didn't MEGA get sold to the Chinese?

>67% JavaScript
into the trash it goes

Yes, enpass, yes

The very definition of botnet.

>Do you use a password manager?
Yes

KeePassX
>Are password managers a meme?
Not really, until something like Yubikey becomes a thing

I keep hearing about this "method" a lot but it is almost as bad as using same password everywhere
If someone figures out your schema, especially if it's a simple one, EVERY password you have is compromised

nice thread, shill. I'll check it out. This needs a linux version if it has the bare functionality that keepass has.
how's autotype on windows?

>Not using Dashlane
kek

Chrome integrated password manager

hahaha cucks, you really don't care about privacy, don't you?

Yeah I have it written down on a piece of paper
