If you're looking for improving your social life, if you want to be surrounded by people all the time, and if you want to party as hard as an Australian guy on his vacations in western Europe, then come to brazil.
You will love it.

But it has a price. Your logistics will be fucked up. Big cities are monstrously far away from each other, and you probably will have to take a flight if you want to travel around them (and it's quite expensive even if you earn euro). You'll manage to get laid very often if you're not a monster-looking guy, but the weather is horrible and the heat will make you lazy as fuck. You probably won't feel in a good mood for leaving your place until the night falls, no matter where you'll live in this place, due to how hot it can be the whole year.

You won't be as safe as you would be in Iceland, but you will be quite safe if you behave yourself properly. What I mean is that you better not watch your phone at public places, you better beware black people, and all of that. You have to be smart in order to avoid major troubles around.

Think like this: you'll be exchanging the life you already have for a life completely related to a social spectrum.

People generally say that brazil is one of the best places for breaking the ice when it comes to social life.
You're likely to have tons of experiences regarding people and personal relations. Good and bad, nice and harsh, you know.
You'll get to have sex, to make friends, and maybe even get into a fight, all in the same day.

People are open, they will approach you, and they are generally curious, so you'll be in contact with people from all ages making you weird questions about you, and giving you some excessive attention.

People in brazil are easy to get along, you'll find people around that will smile a lot and will be interest in you, your contry (even if most of them couldn't tell if iceland was something people eat or live in until they met you) and your story.

But they don't speak english, and brazilian portuguese is not a "standard" language.
It's more like a dialect if compared to european portuguese, because it generally don't follow grammatical rules when it comes to the spoken language.
It's simpler than european portuguese, though.

You'll get a few experiences that will help you out in finding yourself and developing social confidence in the future, no metter where you end up living after your time in brazil.

You should go and visit some other countries first, i was in the same position but then i visited other countries (netherlands,belgium,switzerland, luxemburg, austria and north france) now i see how good it is at home. And now i do a lot of local trips and see my region with different eyes.
