I can't speak for other Finns but I have a freezer full of berries and I get fresh fish on most days. I cut back on meat & pork to lose weight and it's working pretty well.

People always diss Finnish cuisine, but whta cuisine could we even have? We are one of the most northern countries in the world, so almost nothing grows here for a 8 month period. Our country is also 1/3rd swamps. Then when we finally start to get better at life fucking sweden conquers us and forces us to give them all our food killing us of hunger and forcing our men to go to fight their wars. Then Russia takes us from sweden and we're locked in war for a century again. We have had peace for 60 years now for the FIRST time in finnish history. So what the fuck food we've had to make in that time? We are not like japan, who have ton of resources and still eat them all raw and make no delicious well prepared food. All japanese do is catch fish and eat it raw, wow how innovating
