Hello Cred Forums I am visiting Japan and would like to bring home some lolicon/shotacon content back to the states with me. This isn't exactly risk-free as it can get me thrown in jail in Canada (layover). I was going to ship it to my address, but some guy got the book thrown at him for that as well. I know the chances of having problems even with airport travel are very low, but I would like ideas on the most risk minimized way to get my physical books home.
TL;DR What's the best way to get my loli/shota books home with as little risk as possible?

It would be awkward if they opened it at the airport. Not risking that again even though I know for a fact that it's not really illegal here, even if many people believe it is. Our law says any graphical representation of minors having sex is child pornography, but there's a caveat: the same law defines a minor as a person within a certain age, and drawings of fictional characters aren't persons (to the law). I'm a lawyer so I know that.
But it would still be way too bothersome to try to explain that to the officer and if he's not convinced, explain that to the judge.

To properly scan you need to unbind each page from the book, and that can't be easily undone.

You really don't have to. You can scan it properly without debinding, it just requires a bit more editing afterwards.
