Canadian Nationalism isn't so much about race or heritage but about integration into our traditional Anglo society. Unfortunately that idea has been dead ever since Trudeau sr. took over and literally ingrained multiculturalism into our constitution. Now immigrants are encouraged to NOT integrate.
We've always been a nation of immigrants, but we used to force people to integrate into our Anglo way of life. School teachers used to beat immigrants who spoke a single non-English word. Canada used to force people to integrate, now we encourage the opposite. Very sad.
