You're missing my point, I'm saying that putting aside the opinion of China as a nation which takes into account economic benefits and regional dominance, the ethnic Chinese have a bad stereotype of the culture and behavior of the general people of the PRC. This is divorced from the idea of whether the state of the PRC is beneficial. If you meet any Chinese from here or Singapore and ask them about the Mainland, they will talk trash about their manners and their sneakiness and that horrible Beijing accent that sounds like they have the flu all the time.

I admit they perhaps are less concerned about military and political dominance than Hong Kong and Taiwan. But the contempt is still similar.
