I'm australian and generally move around the darker parts of techno, with a little uk garage and house thrown in for some contrast.

When trying to explain what I like to the naive, I tend to say underground dance. Sure, you get some raised eyebrows with the word 'underground' but it's pretty accurate, and most people who matter realise that means no US-commercial dance, and no trance.

I think it's a lot of fun if you're just getting into bleeps or you just like the good vvvvibes house, disco, funk type of music with people really letting loose (as it should be imo some techno nights just don't feel this way ya know??)

I haven't been to one in over a year or two as I'm just not into that anymore but I imagine it's the same atmosphere.
