For me, the song don't match with the rest of the album

It's a great track on it's own. The worst part of it is the saxophone.

Great track. Cool metre shifts. Iconic bassline. Sax and lyrics are fucking trash, as is the stupid cash register beat.

What is wrong with the sax?

it sucks

You know damn well what we think of that song

I was never a fan of Money, i guess it stems back to my childhood.

>cash register beat
>bad

Completely inferior to 'Easy Money' by King Crimson. But then again, Pink Floyd is inferior to King Crimson in general.

>not liking the sax solo
It's not 10/10 but it's better than the guitar solo

Worst song on the album, it's entirely out of place and ruins the flow. Especially having it put after The Great Gig. This album would be a solid 9 maaaybe even a 10 without it.
That being said, it's not an awful song and I actually love the sax part. I just wish it wasn't on this album.

...

Bit cheesy considering the context but all in all a good song.

Sax is based.
Cash register beat is clever for the time.
Lyrics are relatively sub-par in comparison to other Floyd songs.
Guitar solo is pretty good.

what is wrong with the guitar solo?

>king crimson

the mind of a pleb

>it's entirely out of place and ruins the flow
How so?

one of my fav songs in this album. I literally love when the sax solo is ending and the guitar solo gets in!! can't understand why people hate this song.. probably a song too demanding for them

>large dynamic shift
>interesting non-traditional time signature
>sound samples introduce and end track
>saxophone
Oh yeah it totally doesn't match anything else on the album

It's a Waters song, so naturally, it's shit from a shit man.

you suck man the sax is simply perfect

>a
jealous

It's a good song, but there are better ones in this album.
And also, this has been overplayed waaaay too much.

but there are even worse

Roger fucks up the bass line at 5:22 which has ruined the song for me upon repeated listens

What's the mistake? I don't hear it. He's playing an octave with the 5th and the root in a quick triplet.

Nice trips, man

I've yet to read any actual coherent criticism in this thread

He doesn't transition from 4/4 to 7/8 as cleanly as he should and there's a fairly obvious stumble as he picks up the rhythm again.

Did you come to the music section of a Japanese image hosting website hoping to find cogent and reasoned musical critique? If so I have a bridge to sell you.

I love it.

The saxophone part was done by an old childhood friend of the band, because they were to shy to ask someone famous.

>*tips fedora*

are you comparing them because they both have the word 'money' in the title

>He doesn't transition from 4/4 to 7/8
The transition is at 5:06, not 5:22.

Try harder

It's pretty cool musically, the lyrics are pure shit even for Pink Floyd standards.
