Go read Mozart's archived private correspondences with his friends and family members where he talks about the trials and tribulations of wanting to produce mainstream accessible music that is also intellectually stimulating without the music elite in his time giving him shit for it. Then go read all of the Grimes interviews where she talks about her own struggles with attempting to do exactly the same thing with the music elite of today breathing down her back. If she keeps up with things the way she has just these past couple of years, you can bet that her name is gonna start coming up a lot in music history courses over the next 5-10 years or so.
