I think Porcupine Tree might be good.

I think PT and Steven Wilson are the most polarising artists on Cred Forums
Anything Steven Wilson has touched is 16 year old tier fedoracore
Although Anesthetize is a pretty cool song
Fuck off hipster nu-male
Go listen to Death Grips
Cred Forums is extremely insecure
>i think PT might be good
People need to stop looking for pointless validation all because they don't wanna get memed.
It's almost as if Cred Forums is an imageboard with thousand of individual users with their own different tastes in music
I'm sorry to tell you that your thinking is incorrect.
t. Fantano drone
I only found the remastered version of On The Sunday Of Life pretty good, it also sounds pretty good.
For instance:

It wouldn't seem fedoracore if he had a manlier voice
They are, they're just the opposite of the Pitchfork value system Cred Forums worships
The lyrics are really bad, though, as well as the generic nu metal riffs they started to shoehorn into every album after SW heard Tool for the first time
Still, Signify is one of the best albums of the 90s
Porcupine tree is great. Steven Wilson's solo shit is just decent 70's prog worship with nice production. Good but waaaaay overhyped
Wouldn't really say he's hyped. Popular, sure, but remember most of his audience at this point is middle aged men just happy to hear the music of their youth again
Also Insurgentes is a really unique prog album, it's only the last two that are basically King Crimson and Pink Floyd tribute albums.
Storm Corrosion, IEM and Bass Communion are also very good
yeah true, insurgenties is a great album. Grace for drowning also feels like prog worship to me but it's worship that's worth listening to. Yeah, storm corrosion is pretty good but I need to get to bass communion and IEM
>The lyrics are really bad
I'm sick of this meme, the only lyrically bad PT album is FOABP and even then people exagerate
>WE HAVE GOT, WE HAVE GOT THE PERFECT LIFE
I mean, I'm exaggerating but most stuff from In Absentia onwards is not very good lyrically and meshes terribly with the dumb metal riffs, even if I do enjoy those albums.
I'M DRAWING THE LINE I'M DRAWING THE LINE I'M DRAWING THE LINE I'M DRAWING THE LINE I'M DRAWING THE LINE I'M DRAWING THE LAAAHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE
Meh, I don't listen to music for the lyrics anyway.
>taking the lyrics out of context
Radiohead have silly lyrics too but people here worship them
I've already said I like PT, doesn't mean I can't criticize them. Makes no sense for them or Radiohead for that matter
>tfw xbox is a god to me
can attest to this, my dad loves his music because it reminds him of what he used to listen to as a kid.
tfw you dad was patrician
