I used to be a big System of a Down fan because they weren't degenerate like other Nu Metal bands.

Nu Metal has to evolve into something better to be accepted. You could see that most Nu Metal bands evolved into a more normalized rock sound but at that point it's not really Nu Metal anymore.

Out of all the numetal bands, SOAD and Deftones stand pretty high above their peers. They're still actually pretty enjoyable to listen to. The first Korn album is pretty decent as well.

I'll listen to Korn if nobody is in the house. I know they're not good but they have a unique personality that's different from any Nu Metal bands.

Glassjaw is pretty much the only band that I'll still listen to that sounds like that or, at least, the only band I listened to in 2003 that I still like hearing.

Have you heard all of glassjaw's stuff? Aside from their two full length studio albums, they have a bunch of early recordings and EPs.

El Mark is one of those EPs that's super good.
