Kid A is superior.

It's just okay. Kid A is much better.

Kid A > OKC

no it ain't. paranoid fucking android? what tops that on kid a? huh?

National anthem, Optimistic/In Limbo

>masterpiece
>rock
Pick one

Everything In It's Right Place
How to Disappear Completely
Idioteque

well airbag is equal to the national anthem, and subterranean homesick alien is equal to in limbo.

so paranoid android is still unmatched

Idioteque easily

karma police is equal to EIIRP and exit music is equal to HTDC. I'll give you idioteque, but I still have paranoid android

No.
It's not a masterpiece, and there have been better rock albums since then.

Kid A is just autistic and lazy Berlin School

so what is OKC genius?

>people saying Kid A is better
>not reading the question

OKC is the last great ROCK album.

Kid A is rock now?

Is it not?

it's closer to electronica and jazz imo. very little guitar, almost all drum machine, very little verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus

not great rock music

ok

OKC has Subterranean Homesick Alien on it, automatically making it the superior album.

legitimately one of the worst songs the band's ever made. i'd say it's worse than about half of pablo honey.

good one user

I wouldn't go that far but I think it's been established at the very least that

Kid A's peaks > OKC's peaks

If you actually want a serious answer, then that answer is Cryptooology by Yowie

>established

music is subjective dumb shit. For me, Karma police is the greatest song of all time. I don't really care what the talking heads say or what user says.

Half of the reviewers trashed Kid A when it came out.

Also so did I. It took me a long time to recognize the album for what it is. It's unbelievably rewarding once it clicks though.

>music is subjective

back to you know where pleb

...

I consider pic related to be the last great rock album. Also Kid A>OKC

>he fell for the "music is subjective" meme

ya got me. it's just much less traditional a rock album than OKC. the only pure rock song on Kid A is optimistic.

Showbiz

Favourite Worst Nightmare/Whatever people say I am

...

wow just saw off your own ears

good goof you got me rolling on the floor laughing

I'd also say Public Strain by Women, but pic related is more agreeable.

If you haven't heard this you are really missing out.

Lol look at these retards that think Kid A is a roc album. Also just listen to Amnesiac. It's like Kid A but with talent.

you forgot about this OP

yeah this is good

...

Everything except Treefingers

Treefingers is the best song on the album though

Seconding this

Battles - Mirrored

how the fuck is that more agreeable, public strain is better in every sense, and definitely a better contender for rock masterpiece than funeral.

Women-Public Strain

Truly he WAS the OK Computer...

Newfag here. Recommend me some god tier rock bands that aren't Radiohead or QOTSA

Coming to say this.

Faust

AC/DC

inb4 "middleschool tier"

bon scott era is the best recorded result of small man syndrome in the history of our species

these are valid choices as well

Watch this video. awesome music youtube.com/watch?v=6Z1KZUiHX_o

first 3 mars volta albums are up there

Nope, that would be Blackstar. It has more going on than 'rock' but it is part of rock history.

He said god tier, not reddit tier

stop

What?

stop calling that hunk of shit a masterpiece

The best rock trilogy of the last 20 years just finished.

It's not a hunk of shit, it's a masterpiece.

What other rock trilogies have there been in the last twenty years?

...

undeserved trips honestly
fucking kys fag

OKC>Kid A>Amnesiac

That's not a trilogy, Kid A and Amnesiac are a duo, OK Computer is something totally different. If a trilogy is any run of three albums, Swans lose to Scott Walker's Tilt, The Drift and Bish Bosch. But a trilogy isn't any run of three albums.

No, this was.

I like Scott Walker but no.

OK Computer is a fine album, but not as great as what followed. Also, Subterrean Homesick Alien sounds a bit like Kielbasa Sausage, and it makes me cringe slightly when I hear it. They were pissing the last 'alternative rock' elements out of their bloodstreams with that. Then they got gud.

wrong

This drew a line under the first half-century of rock.

*cringe*

this is the only acceptable answer

If you're looking for the most recent rock album that was a masterpiece in a way that future generations will see as being of a piece with the canon of classic rock, I'm not aware of anything more recent than this.

Loveless

How the fuck is I-Empire cringe you fucking faggot?

(daily reminder)

youtube.com/watch?v=Q8k3qB61lhk

How to Disappear Completely is fucking dogshit though, most over-rated Radiohead track of all time.

...

nah

How did that get you? Some random fucking genre shuffler has the last say? Kid A is not rock in any way, post art my arse its electronic music first and foremost.

This whole album is GOAT
Can't believe I discovered it by watching some faggot play vidya on Twitch

Sorry I was late

How does this resemble rock in any way?

>Indietronica
it's not rock music in any way
