How come Cred Forums never talks about this guy when he has been much more of an influence on music than any of the so called Cred Forums-core artists.

>much more of an influence on music

There you go, he's way too mainstream for Cred Forums

What is there left to say?

what more is there to say?

he was an influential outsider artist and his music is amateur yet kinda weird

congrats, theres all the discussion you need

You guys managed 4 years of discussion out of one mediocre fuzz-folk album

What exactly did he do that Beatles didn't do before him? Lo-fi? Lennon did it

>favorite song
>favorite album
>least favorite song
>what do you think of his recording techniques
>what instrument did he play best
>who has he inspired besides Kurt kobain

you sound like an entitled cunt m8. Daniel Johnson is only for pure qts

were people actually influenced by him or is he just an early example of people recording with cheap equipment

he was kind of big in the Austin indie scene
that's about it
then Kurt Cobain wore a shirt and people play him up to be something a lot bigger than he actually was

he made some good pop songs tho t b q h

Which album was that?

How new are you he's talk about quite a bit

I never see anyone talk about this song and it has always been a personal favorite. I find some of his music unlistenable but he can really hit an emotional nerve so hard sometimes.

This song didn't do anything for me until I watched that rockumentary. Also I'm pretty sure that song isnt from Hi How Are You like the image suggests.

...

It's from Welcome To my World.

But it's not even my favorite song on the album, that would be Casper the friendly ghost, that's second best.

Welcome to my world is a collection album.

good songs

I like Daniel Johnston, but does anyone cringe at that bit in the documentary where his band mate says he's more of a genius than Brian Wilson?

>like a monkey in a zoo
>songs of pain
>Danny don't rapp
>good
>piano
>people

1990 is the only album of his I think is consistently good, probably because it's essentially a compilation

Those guys were dictionary definition leeches

le retard meme man

Has he ever had sex?

>he has been much more of an influence on music than any of the so called Cred Forums-core artists
How is he more influential than The Beatles or Radiohead?

Radiohead hasn't influenced anything

He's pretty popular and 1990 is frequently discussed

>Radiohead
>Influential in the slightest

What the fucking fuck am I reading?
I seriously want r/indie or whatever the fuck redditsub they have over there to leave.

>who has he inspired besides Kurt kobain
me :)
