The original LP has a good replayability factor and has some unique lyrics

Arc is good

Man alive is a grower

I love Man Alive but didn't like Arc as much bar a few songs - but maybe that's just nostalgia

besides I think Weights is the best finisher off an album ever

Arc has some similar lyrical themes to what they explore in Get To Heaven but it's a lot more introspective in terms of music, considerably more downbeat and melancholic. 'The Peaks' is fucking devastating, just one of the most heartbreaking realisations that we are never going to pull ourselves out of the event horizon of our own hatred and stupidity.

Man Alive is less lyrically angry than Get to Heaven but shares a lot more of the pop sensibility than Arc does; it's a really great mathy indie rock album with big hooks.
