I am just hoping that the default chart for Sonemic will have a bigger priority on number of votes, because I don't think that opinion of 30 people should be as relevant as it is now.

It has less priority on number of votes, the sonemic charts are already out. Its stupid that an album with 30,000 ratings and 4.71 average would chart better than 20,000 4.72

It's not stupid. The more mainstream an album gets, the bigger the chance that next user is going to give it a worse than average rating. Charts should recognize albums' popularity, because it doesn't grow in their favor. There is close to 0% chance that the album that I mentioned is going to hold onto its 4.38 rating.and therefore it is probably going to lose its unjust place in top 1000.
