the instrumental is real shit, that piano line is so nice. highly enjoying your lethargic but not overly lazy vocals paired with smooooth delivery. big ups
and by real shit I mean real nice

My first big undertaking that I actually like! I hope you like it too! A whole lot of effort went into this. Inspiration includes beach boys, mercury rev, the beatles, flaming lips, elo, phil spector stuff, ect.
big fan of the 90s sadguy altrock vibe. Easy download for me. The recording and production is very high quality! All around generally impressively polished without being TOO clean.
Some of the songs here have a really great feel. The sound's expansive with very well realized textures. That said, I found your use of electric casio style drums to be a bit jarring when mixed with the rest of the music - I'm not fully convinced on them. They sounded a little out of place imo. It could be a mixdown thing in that they're very dry compared to a wetter mix, or it could actually be an arrangement thing in that they sound weird when mixed in with the very organic sound. I'm not sure.
I really love the melancholy vibe your songwriting has. The extra arrangement around the songs is great as well. I realize it's bedroom pop, but I can't help feeling like everything would be a little better if you could just cut down on a little bit of the muddiness in the mix. Mostly it's just in the drums being muffled, but also the vocals. Maybe cut out some of your low ends? I dunno. Maybe it's hard, maybe that's the sound you were going for. I just think there's some beautiful melodies here and they're a little burried under the murkiness which is a shame! Still though, you got my money.
big praise comin' from you! your work is pretty masterful!
thanks man
goddamn this is good
u got my $$$
Listened to a few songs from Truths and liked it much more than I thought I would. You aren't lying about it being "California." Sounds like Ariel Pink when he's in his "dreamy" mode. I'll have to give this more of a listen later.

I've recced this a lot before and I'm doing it again. Waiting on pins and needles for that SECOND big undertaking, and yes, it's clear a whole lot of effort went into it, and yes, the "inspirations" are wonderfully present. Don't pass this one by, people. Don't do it.
------------------------------
Ok folks, so my next album is coming along just peachy but I'm starting to get sick of my band name ("Eichin Schmeichin"), which is an old inside joke but now doesn't quite jibe with me.
I'm thinking of pulling a Phil Elverum and changing the band name. The name "Solstice Patterns" is what I'm thinking of right now. Should I do it? The only problem is that "solstice" only applies to summer/winter and I love all four seasons.

Do you know who I am? I have 115k plays on Soundcloud from tracks that I uploaded THIS YEAR. Diplo is literally following me and has tweeted my old band in 2012 before I started my solo project under a new name. That's new fame that I earned starting from nothing which would explain why you have no idea who I am right now. Thankfully you're anonymous so you don't look foolish, but now you and your music careers are linked to the fact that you didn't even listen to my album or either of my EPs or even worse; didn't like them. Just keep in mind the next time you post in one of these threads that you might want to consider that some of us earned this right. Also your music is fucking garbage fa m, just quit while you're "ahead". Lol
