What, in your opinion, is the weirdest music you listen to and actually enjoy? The farthest I go off the top of my head is probably Arca.

link music or gtfo.
Weird by what standards?
To some arabic trad pop is weird, to others it's just the shit they hear everyday on the radio
is this the logical conclusion of math rock?
Sounds For The Supermarket.
production on this album is flawless, tracklisting has been done by an absolute genius and every single detail in the songs add to this single experience I cannot match with any other album.
I know these tracks before I hear them, it's all I can describe it.
It's incredible.
I don't know, early Cabaret Voltaire?
I liked the drum improv with Brian Chippendale and Greg Saunier.

Cred Forums is a musical normie board, confirmed.

not him but with like 5 mins research it's clear it's a meme my man, half of the tracks are just off sunny jim by karl jenkins but since you asked nicely here you go mediafire.com
As boring and obvious of an answer as it is there's probably not much music even in your indiest bandcampiest avant shoe gaze black electronic hipster German transgender noise metal music that gets as out there as Sun Ra's more lo-fi stuff.
ITT;
>my music scares people
>Hehe, no it doesn't... mine does though... nothing personnel
I unironically enjoy Mongolian throat singing and the Music.
The Gerogerigegege's Yellow Trash Bazooka is 13 minutes and 11 seconds and contains 80 songs.
EIGHTY SONGS.

How does it feel to be a social outcast?
the truth is nothing is actually that weird any more
we're on a board where you can make threads about britney spears or boyd rice and get a roughly even number of replies
think about that
lots of really raw black metal, power electronics, noise
all the really abrasive stuff is much less approachable than any “weird” variation of a popular genre
feels good t b h
I wanted to post this ironically, but then I saw this post.
Think about the fact that most people on this board are probably more familiar with the works of Stockhausen and Xenakis than for example Bach and Beethoven.
And there's nothing wrong with that.
Radiohead
>old nigger jazz
Grimes.
You really need to weight the options and consider suicide
The Residents. That one fucking children album that I forgot who made it.
good ol' Stockie youtu.be
mfw no collaboration ever between Boris & Xenakis youtu.be

I know it's entry-level shit but sometimes the entry-level bullshit is best, especially in a genre like harsh noise where most of the music in the genre sounds like those entry-level albums.
I'm pretty sure your old ass is going to give out first before i drink this bleach.
There's nothing to be ''ashamed'' of. I remember the first time I listened to this - my jaw literally dropped:

Y. Bhekhirst. Some weird outsider musician from Long Island who released an album sometime in the 90s.

This comes to mind
I just love that primal vibe
Everything from how the music's released to how the music is credited to the actual content of the music itself, I genuinely think this is the weirdest most bizarre thing in my library and yet I still think it's probably the best music release this year.
Stalaggh aren't that weird musically though. In fact they get pretty boring pretty quickly. The concept sounds so disturbing yet the music doesn't follow up on it.
Sun Ra's up there for sure, I wish he didn't release 1000000000000 different things though so I could more easily listen to his discography outside the 10 albums everyone listens to/praises.
Depends on what you consider weird. It's just a matter of what kind of music you are used to listening to. Most people might be wierded out by pic related.
whats wierd about this? It's not really that different
Spoken poetry in cartoonish voices does it for me, along with the occasional crying and babbling
How is that not weird?
This is actually good.
Buyer's market?

if you have done delirious before you know this isn't as simple as noise
If you live in or close to Texas, there are small (usually 200-500 people) weekend music festivals that are psytrance oriented. Only one that I know of will focus on psytrance the whole weekend the rest of them will focus on it for one night and more psychedelic bass/downtempo the rest of the time.
But when psytrance is the focus you can expect it to evolve from early in the evening slower bpm and more melodic progressive, zenonesque, etc. Into faster bpm, darker and noisier psycore and hightech. Most people hate this music, but if you are one of the few that listens to it and likes it then Listening to it on live on a speaker system among other unofficial alien cult members is so much more satisfying. The best way to get into it is to start by searching "texas psytrance"

Same for me. He's not that weird compared to a few others in this thread, though.
Hans Krusi
Tibetan throat singing
How do you even begin to enjoy this full on noise? I listen to some weird stuff, I can even stomach some other Merzbow work, but this is where I draw the line.
dunno m8 sounds nice and melodic

TMR
don't actively listen to it, play it on a long car drive where you're semi-hypnotized anyway by the drive, let it consume you
Friends Forever

What was so weird / interesting about this records release?
Sound poetry, art rock, free jazz, trout mask, dungeon synth, psybient, ambient and dark ambient, drone, jazz-punk, funeral doom metal, vaporwave, anything interesting desu
this is incredible
this is disturbing as fucci
>Stalaggh aren't that weird musically though. In fact they get pretty boring pretty quickly. The concept sounds so disturbing yet the music doesn't follow up on it.
Yup. Also, Homotopy to Marie is way scarier and more effective
Ye, mmmmm...good
guess i won't sleep tonight then lol
seriously this is not making me feel good at all, and i listened for 30 seconds
Fuck
I almost laughed at this post, then i realized most people find Death Grips really weird and i used to find them weird too not so long ago
And now i see them as completely normal (still love them though)
Don't know if i'm getting more open-minded or this board just completely fucked me up
well this is actually more listenable
Death Grips is weird, you just like weird music is all
Probably everybody in this thread does I would imagine
gimmick
I mean, if we take NotM, i listen to it casually like anything else, i'm not thinking to myself "this is pretty weird but i love it"
I guess i just got used to it, heh
I wonder what would be the line where this is too fucked up for me, i thought i would never get into Swans but i did, heh
Well the line is probably this actually
That stalaggh isn't too fucked up, it's just bad music, that's why you don't like it
Try NWW's Homotopy to Marie. It's even weirder than the stalaggh album but actually fucking good.
Also I totally get you, it's not until I try to play music like at work or something that I remember how weird shit really is
Yeah this is very true, I met a great friend two years ago that is really into Hip Hop and music in general, we talk about it a lot, and i made him listen to Death Grips once because i was really into them at the time and i thought it was the greatest shit in Hip Hop right now, and his reaction to it wasn't what i expected kek
Yeah for me Death Grips is more of a noise / art punk group that just happens to have certain elements associated with hip hop. But they don't really use them for hip-hoppy reasons.
Out of curiosity what DG did you play for him? Hot Head?
How does it feel to be retarded and new?
I think coconuts was kinda weird, I guess.
Cred Forums has become unbelievably normie
I found some good stuff in this thread but to be honest nothing that blew my mind in terms of weirdness.
youtube.com
this is the conventionally "weirdest" music that I truly enjoy. it's kind of hilarious actually
