The Epic is a pretty good album to get into Jazz.

I realize that you're probably baiting, but try listening to this album:

You could also try Herbie Hancock's Headhunters, which is this album that got me and many other people into jazz:

Not for someone that just got into jazz. Keep in mind that this thread is most likely then not a bait.

I've heard like 20 jazz albums so I don't really know shit, but ALS is not really my favorite.

You might like Chick Corea, Alice Coltrane, or Herbie Hancock.

You kind of have to be a musician to "get it"

>anything with Elvin Jones on it
>boring

Jazz was fun before the 50s then it got its head stuck up its ass and got too intellectual.

The same thing happened to rock in the mid-70s but then punk and new wave came along to save it.

if jazz was "fun" the listeners couldn't bask in their elitism and superiority because people who aren't low functioning autists would listen to it frequently.

>fun music is better than intellectual music

Yeah I was 13 once too

See here, Friend.

Special Others

>calling certain music "intellectual"
kys

go listen to Frank Sinatra you fuccin cracker

Vocal jazz and there's lots of it
Miles Davis is pretty fun too
Keep looking around, you'll find jazz you like and don't like
