he's from the US

unfortunately

on a sincere level, I'm starting to think that there may actually be none. That's surprising considering how much good music in other genres have come out of the area. It's incredible really.

Skepta, Dizee Rascal, The Streets

I think the streets may actually be responsible for one of the most abysmal rap songs I've ever heard in my life. I'll check Skepta. I've heard Dizee Rascal before but he was rather forgettable apparently. Got any tracks?

Listen to Boys in Da Corner by Dizee Rascal, its his first but definitely his best. Skepta's album from this year is also pretty good. Both are grime so if you like then both further explore that genre. I will admit that US hip hop is far better than UK hip hop but there are a few gems

...

Wouldn't really consider him a British rapper, he spent most of his life in NY

Still counts tho he lives in the UK right now and was raised there until 14/15

I know this will be labeled as bait but I think Bowie's "Girl Loves Me" might be the most recent song resembling UK rap that I actually enjoyed.

OP here, doom's one of my favorites but if he didn't move to NY shit would've never happened. the UK

You haven't heard Skepta and you're generalizing the UK scene? Fucking come on dude, that's like saying shoegaze is a shitty genre without listening to Loveless or Souvlaki

Also:
>Skepta
>Giggs
>Kano

I'll give you 50% credit for Doom, which is a colossal victory for you guys.

producing a rapper with talent and style on UK soil though is akin to growing palm trees in the arctic tundra.

those guys were ok I guess. Skepta appears to be the best of the bunch. Seems like a solid 6/10 rapper.

I dunno but I personally love the style of the streets like a lot. Do y'all not like him?
