got a volca yesterday as my first analogue synth, and first hardware synth if you don't count the pocket operators. a volca fm is ordered at the local music shop but it hasn't arrived yet.

sounds great production wise and your rap is cool but i don't care much for the chord progression (or sampling undertale, what?)
very cozy, i feel you might want to cut some stray bass frequencies. cool lo-fi vibe

Really excited about this new double track, they were inspired by my most recent burn.
soundcloud.com
The first one is like its name suggests, dancing in the desert while a dust storm swirls around you.
The second track is a bit more melancholic, very solomun-inspired. Really happy with how it came out, very catchy I think, even though it has 6-bar symmetry which is a little atypical.
I will return all listens, feedback, and comments (on here and sc)!
Digging the opening sounds, the productions not he drums could use a lot of work though. Interesting fabric you're trying to weave though.
"Free" is a much better effort. Good luck refining your sound man!
Reviewed your stuff in the other thread that just closed. Summer dreams is very sunny, but could bit more bass underlying all the fun melodies going on.
REcc'd interesting set of sounds you have going on.
Digging the reverb on the guitar and vocals, makes it feel like a nice bed of sound. No offense, but the lyrics are super basic -- "I don't know why I'm here, but I have no fear." It just sounds like you're making the easiest rhymes you can. And for an opening track it could use more of a hook, a grab. Gonna check out the rest of the EP!
Nice disclosurecore, but what is so politically correct about it?
You can sing, you have a great advantage there, do not squander that my man.
Good ambient stuff, do you use any hardware synths?
Great showcase, do you get many comission requests?

I really like the active percussion in these songs. Nice patterns. Cool stuff.
The piano in done could use some work as far as the sound. Try some effects or a different vst that sound a bit more natural.
Really solid stuff. Some really nice melodies in there

Listening to your album.
Sound design is pretty shit and so is the arrangement. It's experimental though, and I'm pretty sure there are people who love it, but not me. I'm missing beats, it sounds too much like random sounds mixed into each other. It's not enjoyable for me.

no glaring flaws with the microbrute as far as I'm concerned. It's an amazing analog synth for the price. being that it only has one oscillator, it can sound pretty plain. the waveform mixer and patch bay makes it a lot better than other 1osc synths though. I'd recommend using it with a good analog delay pedal. it adds a whole other element to it.

personal question here. how do you feel when someone says they don't like your music
I suck it up and practice some more. no one becomes great from scratch
i feel like taking a pee break
what if it was your mum... and mums are supposed to like anything you make. i'd feel absolutely devastated... and move out of her basement
my mom said "I seriously hope you dont play this type of pathetic music with your band" once
I think she was trying to say apathetic, since I was listening to shoegaze
I wonder what they didn't like about it, then I remember that everyone is different so it's fine they don't like it. I have songs that I have made that I don't like. I have songs that I love that my gf doesn't like. it hurts a lil but I use it as motivation to go harder. Make a fan out of a hater.

you've made a lot of progress over the last 6 months. F.A.N. was pretty garbage imo, but this isn't bad. keep doing tracks like this.
this sounds like a badly cut crossfade demo for an album. too many ideas presented in too little time. grab onto one of these little snippets and flesh it out more
should probably get someone to help with compression and mixing. these are kinda cute but the mix sounds like a fart
like the odd vocals but the beat really needs some work. keep practicin

This was okay, but lacked a little pay off towards the end. Experiment with fleshing the organs out maybe? Seems like It'd suite your aesthetic to the give them a bit more voice and/or complexity.
soundcloud.com
>electronica
>90s
Just to expand on my thoughts about , I found 1 30 - 2 00 genuinely engaging. The vocal sample at 3 53 was dank, and you merged into the organs well.
my tunes:
>experimental i guess, vibey, hip hop beats with psychedelic tendencies and pop punk songwriting sprinkled on top. i remind myself of baths, dan deacon, fuck buttons, bomb the music industry, animal collective, other stuff.
don't be a dingus! leave me some comments!
obligatory feedback:
cool, very uncommon style of production in this crowd. has a walking away from an explosion putting on sunglasses feel to it. the vocal sample doesn't get tired, breaks out where needed. lead melody at 1:24 is just right. what DAW / hardware are you using? Maschine maybe?
nice and stripped back - always jealous of musicians who can do so much with so little - i feel like it takes balls to do something so simple - it pays off really nicely. one crit: not a fan of the filter or sample resolution on the raps around 1:40 and elsewhere. seems like it's coming from a totally different space. really cool flow though, no criticism regarding sequencing/arrangement.
liking the underwater feeling - like a lounge in an aquarium. beats are really nice. the changeup around 1:15 sounds well earned, but I could see one more element being added here, along with some sort of building element leading to it - let the track inhale and exhale a bit more - don't underestimate simply muting layers of the track in time.
i'm hearing a bit of black dice in this, really interesting movement and modulation around 1:41 i'm really feeling what the synths are doing. overall, something I would want to listen to more to see if I missed anything the first time around. the tension release at 3:30 is super nice.
loving the auto filtered vocal loop there as well. probably my favorite in this thread.

Honestly if somebody put this playlist on and didn't tell me who it was, I would have just assumed it was some new Animal Collective or Panda Bear solo project that I'd missed. Great music, good melodies
Kind of sounds like something that would play as the soundtrack to an HD video sample compilation. Good vibes. If I had to give criticism I'd say use less artificial-sounding drums, but maybe that was your intended sounds.
I definitely never seek out this style of music and yet I found it tasty. Well done working in a popular style and avoiding some of its pitfalls
