to be honest that cover kind of sucks. It adds so many frills and over-the-top vocals under the guise of emotion that it becomes cheesey and loses all of the original's honesty

honestly i feel like beach boy songs just aren't made to be covered
the production/harmonies/instrumentals are what makes them perfect
its like the opposite of beatles songs imo, where all that matters is the main melody
this isn't to say the beatles are better/worse than the beach boys, just an observation
