The OC Supertones are a good Christian ska band
>mouth fedora
...
>666
are you sure thats not satanic music ?
"Sweet Heart Sweet Light" by Spiritualized
Skillet is normie-tier but it's pretty good imo
Yes
It's a Prog Rock concept album that tells the story of the apocalypse in the modern society, it's really psych and crazy, reading the lyrics while listening to the album makes it even beter.
It's not Satanic, it's called 666 because it tells the story of the apocalypse.
any songs or albums you rec from them ?
sounds pretty cool ill check it out
lecrae, bizzle, andy mineo, reach records, God over money, DJ DMD etc, go check them out OP, you will like them, trusss me daddyyyyy
norma jean, underoath

...
Josh Garrels. Try this album starting with White Owl, you can listen to it off his bandcamp:
joshgarrels.bandcamp.com/album/love-war-the-sea-in-between
...
Check out their Collide album and Comatose
I personally love Whispers in the Dark from Comatose, and Collide is a really solid album all-around. You might also wanna check out Out of Hell from Invincible and maybe Rise from Rise.
listened to comatose on youtube and really like it
sounds good but is it actually christian music ?
U2 and 21 Pilots
happens to be my aoty as well
No lie I thought this was a meme response at first
Yes, it's just pretty non-traditional in its exploration of Christian themes (or not as obnoxious as a lot of "Christian" artists are)
I think "Pilot Me" is on that same album, give that one a try if you're looking for more obvious lyrics
The Call was a hugely underrated Christian new wave band. Their album 'Reconciled' is pure gold.
...
All the Kpop artists are good christian girls
thank you ! im downloading it now
thanks ill dl it and listen tmrw
pharoah sanders - karma
half way through this and i really like it
John Fahey
i like fahey but is he considered christian music ?
For Christian rap if you like the following chwck out thrse
Fans of Jedi Mind Tricks --> Secta 7
Fans of Doomtree, Sage Francis --> Beautiful Eulogy
Fans of Oldominion --> Deepspace5
Fans of Eminem --> Manafest
Fans of a mixture of singing/rapping --> JGivens
Fans of Memes --> B-Shoc
A Love Supreme too but that one is more obvious.
Christian Rock is terrible. I tried listening to the local Christian rock station on my radio at the suggestion of this sloot I was trying to bang, and it was awful. Every song had that same old similar butt rock sound, except the lyrics were just one or two lines lifted from gospel coupled with a chorus of "LORD YOU ARE MY LIIIIIIIIGHT!" or something to that effect. Really unimaginative, not even uplifting. Bad music, really.
I love me some Jesus, but Christian rock is hard to listen to. The best Christian rock songs are just one-offs about Jesus or religion played by regular rock bands. Some examples:

I would love to be introduced to some Christian music that isn't garbage. This thread has introduced me to some, but I'm still unconvinced that Christianity and rock n' roll go well together. Thanks for the recs anyway, Cred Forums. Not OP, btw.
...
I like Jars of Clay but I also grew up listening to them. Much Afraid is a real comfy album though.

Sam Cooke is just the greatest.
that song's so goat man
Think i like the other versions more though

Sorry for shilling a bit, but I play drums in a Christian post-rock band. In hindsight I'm not thrilled with our debut album only because I feel like we've progressed a good bit since then, but check out what we have so far if you want:

I would listen to Mockingbird or Stepping Stones first by the way.
Old time country, bluegrass, and folk music can be based. I love the Stanley Brothers.
i think the music was okay but honestly i am not a fan of the singers voice
this
mewithoutYou (Notice the capitalized "You?" That's Jesus)
...
how does that compare to this ?
This is all I can think of that I legitimately like. GOD-tier riffs. Seriously, you almost wonder how this guitar playing got wasted in a Christian metal band. Especially that part at the end

I think this is pretty funny
Johnny Cash's religious albums are great.
This is....
really fucking bad, like whoa
Johnny Cash in general desu
Also Sufjan Stevens in general. Sufjan Stevens is some deep christian stuff, more than anything you'll get from your incredibly generic christian artists
its funny that hes a better rapper then macklemore
Oh totally, thanks for reminding me to post this song.
This song gets me every time, Sufijan is so good at putting emotion into his music.
>. Sufjan Stevens is some deep christian stuff,
specific album ?
I used to wake up for school every day from my mom playing this really loudly
Any of them really.
His best religiousthemed songs off the top off my head are and
>find the nearest ghetto area with a primarily black population
>go to literally any of their churches on a sunday
You're welcome :)
>>find the nearest ghetto area with a primarily black population
i currently dont live anywhere close to something like that
i dont think most of the people who go to my few local churches are even devout
...
Relient K?
Hell fucking yes.

Dude, Children of God is in no way christian, sure it deals with themes of God and spirituality, but calling it a christian album is taking that at face value
It's to do with God, so there for christian
When it really isn't
No one mentioned it but I'm sure everyone knows My Life Be Like
Cross Movement
Newsboys
and others already named Jars of Clay
I didn't listen to these growing up but people in my family did and there were some songs I liked.
...
...
try Current 93, I'm as religious as marxism but this makes me feel
...
Blackhouse
