Chart Thread: Rate, Rec, Etc

...

Why did you post Cred Forumscore? Where is your chart???

posting an actually correct chart in this one

damn currents looks funky on that chart

is this the updated Cred Forumscore essentials chart?

Are those ratings spot on?
X means I just dislike it.

A little too unoriginal.

Do Make Say Think - You, You're a History in Rust

...

I'm sure you can do better than that

This is as Cred Forums as it gets without it actually being full on Cred Forumscore

None of the albums on this are worthwhile, so no, wouldn't say all your ratings are correct

There is more to music than feels and memorable melodies

Can't exactly say yours is brimming with originality either.

Have you heard Randy Newman?

...

rec me some drone or experimental punk if any

I find it funny that you share several albums with the ones you quoted
have you heard cohen's recent stuff? it's amusing and depressing at the same time...

Aim - Cold Water Music
J.V.C. F.O.R.C.E. - Doin' Damage
Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left
Boris - Akuma No Uta

Forgot mu chart.

not a fan desu

will check, thanks

im not sure if this a compliment or an insult

the umcs- "fruits of nature"
Anthony Williams -"spring"
lamb - "lamb"

>have you heard cohen's recent stuff? it's amusing and depressing at the same time...
perhaps but it doesn't have the lyrical density of his earlier albums. Also, i find his recent output overproduced. In my humble opinion, he works best with the most minimal of accompaniment, you know, the lone philosopher living in a monastery at the top of a mountain kind of thing.

Definitely not a compliment. Your taste is generic, let's put it that way. And I see you in other threads being condescending towards anons' music tastes, which makes me laugh.

Why are there 3 chart threads?

I never got the appeal of the first Ash Ra Tempel album
Have you checked their other stuff?
Midori Takada - Through The Looking Glass
Legendary Pink Dots – Shadow Weaver

>All these albums from the same artists
I'm sure you can do better than that

I've heard that album before. Through The Looking Glass. It's alright.

i like some LPD but heard very little. thanks!
goat drummer
not so good leader. he works better in sidemen role imo. thanks anyway!

I don't get this. A good band/artist only has himself to imitate since his albums are not imitations of others. And a good band/artist has to have a consistent and overarching sound across his discography to give off a semblance of personality and passion for what he is trying to achieve in music.
To me it's therefore perfectly normal to have several albums from the same artist among my favorites since his/her music, across several albums, captures that je ne sais quoi that I love, that others do not.
Hopefully i'm not coming off as autistic here.

Yeah I agree with all the stuff you said. Hence why I said it was depressing but amusing (as in laughable in some ways). Definetely prefer his early stuff, the recent ones are pretty much shit, is what I meant.

do you, you know, engage with the music when you're listening to it?

bc this is seriously dire

make a bigger chart then

do u work for pitchfork?

Ah ok. I thought you meant laughable in a good way, my bad.

yeah i might do that eventually
