That's not true, though. She went to music school when she was a kid, but she's not classically trained in piano. In fact I'm pretty sure there's a quote of her saying she doesn't play the piano nor the guitar.

Playing the flute makes you a musician. I didn't even know she played the flute. And needing to play an instrument isn't a prerequisite to making music. She's done pretty well for herself without great technical instrument playing.
Co-producing is a hard thing to judge really because it could be anything from having a tiny bit of input to doing most of the work. Bjork has talked about not being given enough credit because she's a woman but I'm fairly certain Bjork has much more of a part in making her music than Beyonce does.
