Post your unpopular opinions and get shit talked. Shouldn't be much different from a typical Cred Forums experience.

souvlaki isnt that good
EVOL was the best rap release of 2016.
I enjoyed the production of this album.
If Death Grips made an album that sounded like their more chill stuff (Beware, Eh) it would be a 10. Their angry homeless black man shtick has gotten pretty old
There is nothing special about your (or my) taste.
This is boring
Twenty One pilots is way better then the cure
Interior Design is one of my favorite Sparks albums.
Haydn is the best composer of the classical period.
solo Beatles > The Beatles
is this album actually good i might check out now on spotify
I don't think that's an unpopular opinion. The appeal of that album is not in how exciting it is.
(checked) (checked) (checked)
Do you have a single fact to back that up?
Your taste is irrelevant if you do not create art yourself.
Did I stutter
to add on to that, Nowhere is much, much, much , much better than any other shoegaze record ever recorded, and is the best album of the 1990's
The whole classical period was garbage.
...
Yeah it's fucking great. It's in my top 10. Haven't heard anything like it either.
(checked)
Run the jewels is the worst shit I've ever heard
my music is better than everything else
Stint is a bad version of unwound.
Shoegaze is overrated.
The Creation
Symphonies Nos. 82-104:
Piano Sonatas Nos. 48-52
The Seasons
String Quartets Op. 76 and Op. 64
Just off the top of my head. All works of unparalleled beauty, modesty and clarity.
Loveless is like a 4/10.
I'm listing to it right now its okay ive just started listing to it so don't get triggered
what the fuck
Why?
completely agree.
it was a joke wolfs production was way better just wanted to see if anyone would point it out.
Kendrick Lamar's success only shows how big white guilt is.
Asap Rocky is a good rapper
Marina has more talent than Kate bush
haha man you really got me
sick joke famalam
Nowhere is fucking shit
this album is at least a 4/5
Entain is one of Sasu Ripatti's worst works. Quite possibly the worst under VD.
thanks for confirming that my opinion is unpopular, have a (You)
Now hol up buckaroo
The Ramones Genuinely make me sick to the stomach listening to. And im a huge punk fan.
It was so regressive compared to what was done before and what was done after. The whole Classical period was a major misstep and the Romantic era was a step in the right direction. Modernism was the pinnacle of classical music.
this album is a 10/10
i dont like phil collins i think he sucks ass
Atoms for Peace and thom's solo stuff is at par with half of radiohead's releases
You mean On GP too?
Fishmans sounds like dishwater to me.
this album isn't good
>It was so regressive compared to what was done before and what was done after.
How?
>the Romantic era was a step in the right direction.
In what way?
>Modernism was the pinnacle of classical music.
Why?
Charles Hamilton is a better producer than Kanye West
Not only are these opinions unpopular, they are also correct.
"Only in Dreams" is one of the worst songs off of The Blue Album.
>Good music = progress.
Nice meme kike, back to wanking to your atonal ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''music''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
Yeah. That too.
man, I used to listen to "I Remember" non stop back then. Thank you for reminding me of an awesome track
Shut the fuck up u fucking pleb
I enjoyed the chorus of this album
Funeral is amazing, but this is better.
Correct
its just another boring white dude with a decent flow rapping about his feels
go circlejerk more
this is an unpopular opinion?
I disagree with you but wasn't aware that I was in the majority
Death grips is shit, so is Ween and animal collective.
Sorry Gabriel, but Cred Forums is Phil only board
maybe not unpopular, but this album is never talked about on here and its a literal 10/10
Heroes (David Bowie song) is overrated.
I agree.
you need to go back
does Cred Forums actually enjoy twenty one pilots or are they just a meme.
Gorillaz are absolute shit
Blur is absolute shit
Damon Albarn is a talentless hack
Blue is Weezer's only not shit album and it's still like 6.5 at best
other than Jeffery and maybe the new Danny Brown
correct
>souvlaki is shit
>nowhere is shit
>i literally do not like david bowie's music and i'm not even baiting
>anco isn't as good as everyone gives them credit for
>ITAOTS is 9/10
>fantano is right more often than not
>ok computer is better than kid a
>AMSP is 7/10
>faith no more both started nu metal and became the logical conclusion of it all in one album
>shoegaze is good
>shkreli will be good for Cred Forums
>daft punk plagiarized all their best songs
>swans is shit (except for filth)
Jeffery was actually trash pop rap and I have no idea why fantano that fucking retard rated it so highly. It doesn't sound any different from the uninspired beats and lyrics of what you hear on the radio. It's cool that a rapper can be a fag and everything, but that doesn't make it good.
I like Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato
Christgau thinks so
Also, Elliott Smith is poop
>Blue is Weezer's only not shit album and it's still like 6.5 at best
Replace Blue by Pinkerton and you're correct
>>shkreli will be good for Cred Forums
>unpopular opinion
Only those who know nothing about him think that he would hurt Cred Forums.
I wasn't around Cred Forums so I don't know what the popular opinion is BUT
>Jeffery was completely forgettable except for like 2 tracks and that's being very generous.
Also
>Atrocity Exhibition was interesting but FAR from a paradigm breaker you fags just wanna get hype about something
Finally, post hip hop has existed for a hot minute. Danny Brown isn't starting shit.
He's a big enough whiny crybaby to get territorial about the website. If someone tries to take it down, you better bet he's going to throw tons of money down just to win.
>shkreli will be good for Cred Forums
>turning every board into Cred Forums and Cred Forums will be good for Cred Forums
Nah, the minecraft dude is a better option
I unironically listen to chillwave and vaporwave whilst shitting on people who hate the genres because of their extremely bad taste. Im not sure if its even unpopular anymore.
This guys gets
Danse Manatee is great
Green isn't a bad album and it's definitely not a bad Weezer album
Ariel Pink is the greatest 00's artist
Classic cock rock / overly masculine metal is terrible and without any redeeming quality
Nirvana and Guns n Roses were the two worst bands to ever go mainstream
I think this is a very good album, and to go even further Echoes is not the only reason.
RT RT RT mozart is overrated af except for requiem
Meddle is Pink Floyd's best album, and the first half is as good as echoes
Swan are trash
fearless is the shit
Aeroplane Under The Sea is one of the blandest things I have ever heard, furthermore as far as Cred Forumscore goes, if it's not some generic psych shit, it's either boringly depressing or depressingly boring, and when people who like this shit are told this it's always defended with either its age, it's "experimentation" for its time, or how it contributed to a genre, when none of these things are relevant to it's quality.
>fact
>interpretation of music is subjective
>Aeroplane Under The Sea
Were you even listening to the right album?
Phish is greatly under-recognised and one of the most original bands out there
...
I remember when i briefly thought this album was decent. That ripped off bassline is a sore on the album.
Best Leonard Cohen Album.
Tago Mago is overrated as fuck. But I still see why it is as popular as it is.
Limp Bizkit is great and wouldn't get so much shit if Fred didn't dress like a wigger.
Coloring book was a good album.
Actually not that controversial
u got may may'd friendo
I think everybody on Cred Forums would agree with you
Bon Iver are boring,sterile shit.

She has 2 very good songs. You're right about the rest though
i agree with the anti-police brutality stance that TWIABP and the Hotelier take
pars pls go away
"Slush" is the best track
Kelpy G Man
Random Album Title > Random Access Memories
i believe the being a woman is an infinitely shittier experience on a day-to-day and also long-term basis than being a man not only in third world countries but also in industrialized and "enlightened" societies
i believe sexuality is fluctuating spectrum and your choices and interests in life can affect your sexuality; it's not something intrinsic you're "born" with, though that obviously plays a role
i believe free will is nonexistent and the entire justice system is indefensible, for which it should focus on rehabilitation and cordoning off actively dangerous individuals from the rest of society
i believe we should all go back to premodern society when we knew very little about the world and died at age 40 from ear infections
Periphery is one of the best bands out there.
ITAOTS is a 6/10 at best, and that's being really generous.
The division bell is a great Pink Floyd album
Sky Blue Sky is the best Wilco album
it is
I think it is
Arctic Monkey's discography is actually solid
RTJ1 > RTJ2 in terms of album consistency. RTJ2 has better songs in the first half, though
An album full of the style of Hot Head is the next logical direction for Death Grips
Many huge artists are overrated, I'm talking about rock artists. Well, gotta blame rockers' community.
Tru
sdq is considered the best tex-mex band for good reason
Queen went to shit in the 80s
Damon Albarn is probably the greatest musician of our time
Blur is good
Pablo Honey is the only bad RH album
Kevin Parker is talented as fuck
talk talk's new wave era is slightly better or at least on par with their post-rock era
it's my life is their best album, such a shame is far and away the best thing the band has penned, it's probably in the top 3 of new wave singles, and is at least in the top 30 of best pop songs ever recorded
Kpop is actually the only good genre left in music
TMR is trash.
I think Brand New is normie trash, just my opinion. bland as fuck.
Kpop is actually the only >bad genre left in music
Holy fuck I can't Fix this post any harder than this.
this album is fucking fantastic. it's my favorite of the genre
underrated post
...
Vaporwave is really shitty. Except Eccojams was okay.
kendrick sucks
kanye is meh
chance the rapper sucks
and young thug is awful
And the Joker got away...HEY
Vaporwave and chillwave are both shit but i listen to it anyways cause it's easy
Synthwave is great and is going to be picked apart by top 100 pop and rap artists within the next decade
Lil Ugly Mane is the most talented and best artist of all time
i hate pink floyd ver much
hey
my favorite radiohead album is TKOL
dalek is better than death grips or any experimental hip hop group
That's not unpopular.
Everyone post-2010 agrees with you.
Pic related is DP's best album.
Also, Discovery is contrived and repetitive.
Which faith no more album you on about lad?
I also have some more unpopular opinions I guess
Kendrick Lamar is mediocre at best, Slowdive is way better than My Bloody Valentine, BBF is AOTY, Eccojams is the best vaporwave album, telepaths solo tapes are better than the 2418 stuff, TLOP is Kanyes best album,
agreed
>what is an a-f-r-o
>what is a kanye
>what are the people under the stairs
>what is a chance
Do you even try to expand your musical taste?
probably my favorite arcade fire album
>Entain
>worse than Tummaa or any Luomo release after Vocalcity
Kill yourself's.
99% of music posted on Cred Forums sucks
The Suburbs is my favorite Arcade Fire album.
Strangely enough, you didn't get a response from them guy.
That*
David bowie songs only sound good when other people cover them (space oddity is the exception) eg mide ures man who sold the word cover was better than the original.
I like the Amnesiac version of Morning Bell better than the Kid A one.
TVU&N, ITCOTCK and Pet Sounds aren't that great.
22 a million is indie trash
correct
I unironically like MCR. Black Parade is a solid 8/10
I don't think Nickelback is bad. They're generic as shit, but not bad
Even Kate's bush could write a better album than Marina
1. Soulja Boy's first album is great. Deserves the Christgau A. Legitimately one of the best albums of the 2000s. I'm not being hyperbolic. It rules.
2. Savage Boomin mixtape is really good
3. Rock music peaked in the 1950s
4. Hip hop music peaked in the 1980s
5. Desire is the worst Bob Dylan album by a mile
6. DJ Quik > Dr. Dre
7. New vinyl is a con
8. The Mars Volta, Tool and Porcupine Tree are some of the worst acts in popular music history
9. Death metal and grindcore are the only metal genres with any actual merit or potential
10. Techno > House
A lot of people just like his music without caring about his political messages
Those are just Cred Forumsmemes
Please kill yourself
What music do you listen to then?
Nickelback has some objectively good songs.
No
It has always been shit
Well meme'd
This so much
agree with Blue statement; Gorillaz are definitely over rated as fuck but i enjoy most of their discog.
agree
GKMC was ok, I really think the singles sucked
>Ok Computer is better than Kid A
This is true tho
This was the best album of 2015. Not even memeing.
me on the left
Mumble rap is good but i would classify it as pop
90% of the music posted on here is emo bullshit and dadrock is really the only good genre of music
As someone not from America what the fuck is White Guilt
Bear McCreary is a super talented composer but tends to re use the same themes over and over again.
I kinda liked this album.
i like folk punk
Angel Dust
Give them time
gross
this is embarassing
Agree with number 7, explain number 8 ples
piss off
>BBF is aoty
its just a half-assed attempt at a hip-hop record by the resident hack. Im tired of seeing these "avant popsters" make one shitty record after another and continue to be praised for their potential and retarded ideas. Pretty genius though, fooling idiotic reviewers into worshipping them as the second coming of christ just by keeping a low profile and tossing out trash releases.
not unpopular
not unpopular
>Eric Andre reaction image
piss off, you wouldn't know good songwriting if it bit you in the ass
>san tropez
no
ween is pretty bad gotta agree
lol
wouldnt necessarily agree but i do think they are at least worth a listen
not hard to be better than that shite
Pavement aren't that good. Handful of really great songs but their albums aren't as fantastic as people say.
hesitation marks is better than the slip
This is correct though
>anco isn't as good as everyone gives them credit for
agree, Sung Tongs and Feels are the only ones I enjoy
all those are shit
just like your taste
Okay what the fuck senpai
Are you sure you were listening to the right album
BABYMETAL is the most refreshing band in the last all time and will be one of the biggest groups ever
btw beatles are overrated af
From an AnCo fan, Sung Tongs is an obnoxious load of dog shit for over 3/4ths of it. The only actually good tracks are Softest Voice and Winters Love
Really? They just seem like a gimmick to me.
They've been embraced by all the metal stars and legends to the point where they're the band to meet even for the big names (Marty Friedman's words and I can cite a bunch of examples if you want), they are in Super Mario Maker, about to have a live action/animated hybrid show from Warner Brothers about saving metal, and they've been covered by pretty much every mainstream media outlet multiple times. They also made Top 40 on the Billboard charts with their latest album which only ever happened once before for a Japanese artist, in 1963. They broke the merch sales record in UK at Wembley Arena in April, etc. There's a bunch of stuff.
On the Japan side of things they just sold out the Tokyo Dome 2 nights in a row, 110,000 tickets with virtually zero promotion after being the youngest ever to perform/sell out the Budokan in early 2014.
Also just got a deal with ESP to sell custom Babymetal guitars that are really fuckin nice but expensive as shit.
slowdive isn't that great
very good but not that good
>virtually zero promotion
Just realized this is misleading. They had promotion for the Tokyo Dome concerts with their faces all over subways and some major areas of Japan but they as a group are rarely on tv/the media there as opposed to all the big idols that are all over everything everyday.
And derp, I forgot the fact that they collaborated with Rob Halford and covered Judas Priest songs (as well as Dragonforce and touring with Lady Gaga).
Eminem is top 10 greatest rappers of all time.
This is one of the greatest albums ever made.
This is their best album.
One of the few Cred Forumscore albums which is not boring as fuck.
Careful with all them edges laddie
Do you want some salt to go with that fucking massive chip on your shoulder?
nooooo. i love it but not his best, doesn't represent him at all
Now is the point where you try to refute what he said rather than asking him to continue to elaborate. Unless you have no idea what you're arguing
Idk if thats unpopular, i see it a lot on here.
>Classic cock rock / overly masculine metal is terrible and without any redeeming quality
>Nirvana and Guns n Roses were the two worst bands to ever go mainstream
not even unpopular on Cred Forums
36 chambers is boring
liquid swords from gza ft rza sounds like thomas the fucking tankengine
kek
Thought everyone on here likes either Rated R or Like Clockwork the most.
I've seen alot of negativity toward Era on Cred Forums.
OKC > Kid A
In Rainbows > Kid A
>prog rock is very good
>hip hop is shit pretty much all of it
>radiohead a shit
>if you listen to an album you don't like 2-3 times you'll start to love it and vice versa, don't fall into that trap
>metal is shit ALMOST all of it, and I am not talking about prog metal which is trash
>Scaruffi is right very often
>Fantano is wrong very often
Shit forgot they're touring with Red Hot Chili Peppers too after the watched them perform from side stage at a Japanese festival.
>don't fall into that trap
why?
having the right opinion is more important than enjoying music
but this is a fact though
>enjoying music
>listening to the same shitty album 5 times to like it kind of on the last listen is enjoying music
>listening to to albums that you like and relistening to them only if you liked them is not enjoying music

I hate multiple listeners they ruin everything with their ass backwards approach
>Radiohead is really good believe me, I've forced myself to hear their album 5 times and now I kinda like it brb listening to it again
>ITCOCK? Yeah get's boring after a few listens shit album
This is what you sound like
>>listening to the same shitty album 5 times to like it
>to like it
>is enjoying music
yes of course it is.
besides, why are you so hellbent on enjoying rather than appreciating?
100% agree.
Marina might be a shit songwriter, but she still has a better voice
yeah that sure is an unpopular opinion.
YES Slowdive is more interesting than MBV.
An average album lasts an hour (citations needed), so you waste 5 hours on a shitty album, in that time you could hear 5 new albums that you would actually enjoy. Also you can like any shit album if you listen to it enough time and hate the best one if you listen to it too many times.
You do realise we're on a music board right? Leave social politics out of this
This is unpopular? Folk punk is fucking awesome, especially Pat the Bunny's projects.
Obvious b8
Alaska and the great misdirect are better
The Mothers of Invention > The Velvet Underground
Tom Waits is a better songwriter than Bob Dylan
I don't think Ariel Pink is that good
you all need to go outside
I disagree but I understand why you would think that
100%
My perception of this album has definitely soured since I stopped listening to EDM all of the time but it's at least a 7/10
I agree, and I'd say Bob Dylan is really overrated in general. When it comes to folky singer-songwriters of that era, Nick Drake, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, and Van Morrison all have him beat both lyrically and melodically.
I know this is a pretentious thing to say but I think it's just that Dylan has a wider appeal- his lyrics and melodies are a bit simpler, and thus appeal to a wider audience. Nick Drake and Tom Waits specifically have a much more specific niche and style. I always felt that Tom Waits has almost written the Great American Novel in a way through his song lyrics, especially Nighthawks at the Diner. You'd be hard pressed to find an album that depicts Americana better than that.
Tame Impala is the best band of the 2010s
not Cred Forums related, but I don't think you should be able to create new threads in/trash/.
it kind of defeats the purpose
90s/00s dance music is the purest music
Industrial/Neue Deustche Harte > Old School Metal > Folk Metal >>> all other metal
Pop #7 is the greatest song of all time
Cred Forums listens to too much melancholic, lifeless guitar-based music
Death Grips is just ok, Run The Jewels did it better
NMH is just ok, Bob Dylan did it better
Radiohead is just ok, Muse did it better
Gangsta Rap >>>> All other hip hop
Arthur Brown > King Crimson
Bauhaus > Primus >>> Swans
The Wall was Pink Floyd's best album
Ladytron >>> Bjork
Genuine vaporwave that isn't memeing is amazing. Also, vaporwave is no more dead than classical.
Hellgaze needs to return
Nero's Day At Disneyland >>> Aphex Twin
LP3 > Classics
Watch The Throne > MBDTF
I just like the funk
Viceland being the most watched tv station last month does prove that however
im angry now
Music that panders to edgy teenagers is better than music that panders to college going hipster millennials
>if you don't enjoy something to the fullest, you're wasting time!
again, why are you so hellbent on muh hedonism? enjoying music is a waste of time too, because it doesn't, in most cases, help build towards anything in the future.
Is this really that unpopular, though?
I wouldn't say worst but the fucking fanboys have ruined their music for me.
considering the latter of those two is everything Cred Forums listens to it sure as fuck is here
We know this is true
I want to sleep once again
Yet i wont forget
do you judge anything and anyone based on your first impression and never try to question yourself on that?
>anybody would argue that AJJ is better than slipknot
neutral milk hotel
death grips
kanye west and any other rap/hiphop/trap artist are bad
there is no "good underground rap" because its all bad
>Gangsta Rap >>>> All other hip hop
instrumental hip hop/turntablism > hip house > trip hop > all other hip hop > horrorcore > mid-late 90s east-coast bullshit like illmatic or liquid swords or whatever trill lyrical miracle >>> madvillainy
Which one did it for you?
Nirvana is pretty good.
Even more controversial; Insecticide is a great album if you care enough.
I'd say 7 probably, but some of the songs are on par with songs from Richard D. James Album imo
Melancholy is the most generic emotion to put in music.
post rock is more dull and boring than any electronic genre
LCD sound system is shit
Joseph Martin Kraus
I saw Bob Dylan live and he was dogshit.
Nirvana gets shat on way too much by contrarians, and is actually one of the best bands of the last few decades
Although a lot of people lump classic rock bands together (Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Journey, Aerosmith), The Who was undeniably the best of them all and far more important than any of the others, BY FAR. The Who were almost as influential as The Beatles
Akira Yamaoka's work on Silent Hill puts most noise/industrial musicians to shame
There is nothing wrong with liking Crywank because it is self-aware as opposed to other cringeworthy, "I TRIED SO HARD, AND GOT SO FAR" whiny emo music.
This is their second worst album.
>LCD Sound System is shit
Agreed. They are John Maus if John Maus had nothing to say.
>I saw Bob Dylan live and he was dogshit.
everyone who sees him live says this except boomers in denial.
>The Who was undeniably the best of them all and far more important than any of the others, BY FAR.
this is correct
>The Who were almost as influential as The Beatles
this is objectively not true even if the who is better
neither are bad just for the fact (or your impression, anyways) that they're pandersome. saying so is pure ideology, basically. if they're unoriginal as a result then yes though
>Akira Yamaoka's work on Silent Hill puts most noise/industrial musicians to shame
Finally, someone else on Cred Forums who appreciates his non-rock music
Fiona Apple's best album before 2012 was Extraordinary Machine.
I don't mean they were as influentially musically as far as pop music goes, but I mean to the actual image of music/rock, The Who were the posterchildren.
His rock is good but anything he does when it comes to noise/industrial is incredible, and creates an atmosphere better than almost any other noise musician out there. I suspect this is because he is also a sound designer and not just a musician.
>There is nothing wrong with liking Crywank because it is self-aware
sincerely go fuck yourself. ironic detachment only serves as an excuse for the listener and the artist when shamed "b-but i didn't totally mean it guys!" which is far, far more pathetic.
there is nothing wrong with "cringeworthy" yet sincere (or at least played straight) music.
When there are multiple songs focusing on the fact that the music is more blatant and how pathetic that makes him, I can say it's not "ironic detachment". There is no statement being made about irony. Crywank is very blatant and very honest and part of the depressing aspect of the music comes from the fact that you know, although it's an escape for James, he full well knows it's not "good" writing.
It's refreshing to hear an artist who, instead of trying to do colorful prose and be secretive about his private life, just comes out and says it. It's not for everybody and I don't really care if you don't like it, but to say it's just "being ironic" is completely inaccurate as to why I like it.
shibuya kei is the greatest genre
The Beatles are shit either way
I genuinely think 'Felony' by Emmure is a good album
>Watch The Throne > MBDTF
nigga what
I like Nellie McKay
everything released after their debut was shit though.
All of Adam Green's solo work is greatly underrated.
MF Doom is one of the worst rappers of all-time (aside from all the autotuned sing-rap garbage like Lil Yachty)
I like his beats though even if they are mostly just loops of dusty records
I have bad music taste
i see, i see
i still have the gripe that don't think it would make him or anyone any more or less "okay to like", i hate that idea, but i'm going to check him out.
For me it goes Felony > Goodbye To The Gallows (debut) >>>>>>>> everything else they put out (garbage).
Felony for me was like the best parts of their debut with less 'deathcore' influences and less Norma Jean type skronk riffs, and more of an early Deftones influence. Which I can dig
>1971
>not drinking champaigne like a good tycoon
shiggy.
I saw Roger Waters live twice last week. He played One of these days and mother fucking fearless made me tear up a bit.
Also Echoes is litterally GOAT.
I hate the idea of "okay to like" as well, generally, which is why I defend Crywank because they get shat on very often. I have listened to them for years, depressed and happy as can be, and there's also a little bit of artistic merit I find there that I can find anywhere else because he's far more naked than any other musician I've found.
>Roger Ebert said "If you have to ask what it symbolizes then it didn't"
>and I try to work my way around this by being blatant.
>I've got tonnes of wasted metaphors across my writing pad,
>but the only thing I feel honest in expressing is the fact that I am sad.
youtube.com
By the way thanks for not REE'ing out at me, you seem reasonable and cool.
Punk was shit before hardcore and the majority of hardcore punk is shit.
I agree with most of this except I think OK Computer only has a couple good songs.
this and Without a Sound is way better than You're Living All Over Me
