Gigabyte or msi?

gigabyte or msi?

Asus

EVGA

Personally I've always gone with Gigabyte, with no problems.

Founders cause it lights up and looks sext

...

Msi, has kept my thingamajigs cool.

Msi, 100%

mug nigga

Here is my setup
Cages are for cucks

Zotac?

nigga did you hear me?

MSI

well i take a msi 1070 now
is good the cooling system?

Gigabyte g1

msi. don't even think otherwise, cheaper and much better than EVGA and asus almost always.
better cooling solutions.

wait nigga what?

MSI has a fantastic cooling system on their GPUs. The fans don't even need to turn on unless under significant load, and I watched a video of a guy who tested a ton of GPU manufacturers and MSI's fans were by far the quietest, and it ran the coolest. Been using MSI ever since.

EVGA gtx 1070 FTW is probably the best aftermarket gtx1070 out there, same for 1080. If you wanna get a 1060 get a rx480 instead cause of the new vulcan and dx

dude.. this look slick as fuck. but the question is what about dirt and dust on the motherboard? doesn't it bother you O_O i mean you must do maintenance all the time

MSI hands down. Superior in cooling, Nice designs.

This is inside my rig

This

I have an A10 7850k. How bad would the bottleneck be if I was to get a 1080 or 1070? 1920x1200 resolution

maybe it will a 1080

How does the GTX1060 SC 3GB compare with the standard 6GB?

don't look at the vram but the core clock etc etc

I agree

>skullcandy
how much were those?
because skullcandy are shit tier.

Why pay for the SCing of only a 3gig card when you can get a 6gig instead? You can probably get 3.5 or even 4 gigs out of SCing it if your careful, but you probably won't even get that.

Kinda pointless tbh

Got this 3 years ago and it's started to crap out.

looks like i've gotta save a grand n get a new pc. cant wait to grab a 1080 tbh.

I've got 8gb ram now and i'd like a lot more, im tempted to go 32

These.

>Slick as fuck

It just looks like a fucking mess.

Soooo close!

What is your processor? 32 gigs is future proof on ram.

I would get 16 gigs and call it good, would worry about the processor more

Dumb question didn't even see your processor because I'm retarded.

I would worry about upgrading to an i7 first

...

Thanks! : )

First thing you should do is get an SSD, best money you'll ever spend on your pc

well the one i have is i5 but im gonna move to i7 when i do a new build

im thinking 32gb because in the next 2 years 16 is gonna be standard for most games etc.

This

well yeah of course im gonna get an ssd for the new rig, i honestly dont see the point adding anythign to this one that i have currently as it's literally shitting bricks on a regular.

Kek'd

This is worse than a gun thread. Here, I'll go ahead and drop a turd in the punch bowl
>pic related

Yeah you'll have to buy a new mobo for DDR4 ram, get 32 gigs if you can find a good buy on newegg or something. I would definately worry more on the processor and gpu. 16 gigs is fine, ram is an easy upgrade down the line. Also look out for deals on SSDs, those things are worth it like said

Gross AMD, how could such casual gamers play more than league of legends on more than 25 fps with maxed graphics. This is complete heresy

is that good? i don't know. hey, what do you use your mac for

Here is the order. Anyone who disagrees has no idea what they are talking about.

Also do not get founders, they run very hot compared to the real coolers.

Asus
Gigabyte
EVGA
Zotac
Msi

It's a graphic workstation, not a gaming computer.

Yeah, it's for drafting and 3d work mostly.

I dont think the processor matters too much, at least not for the games i play and the programs i use on a regular basis. I've got a 3770k, 16gb ram and a Titan, seems to be plenty for most games

A graphic workstation that retails for a few thousand. Please, if you want to fuck me, put a nvidia card in or something, you'll scare the children

Guise

This will be my build.

ASUS GTX 1080ti (when it hits the market)

Intel core i7 series 6700k processor

64 GB of corsair dominator platinum RAM 3333mhz

ASUS Rampage V edition 10 motherboard

2 tb ssd

2 tb data (for rewrites)

Corsair i1200 series titanium power supply

I play solitaire and chess on it, does that count as gaming?

Richfag alert

Yeah, founders runs pretty hot.

Why the 64gigs? Want to open a billion chrome pages while you play a game? 32 should suffice.

oh shit, your gonna need to get the new Titan, a 1080 won't be enough for those games even if you run at 800x600

SATA*

Kek

retarded build

I have saved my money for some time, and will not build this until next year

Actually as a pro mlg solitaire player you need atleast a cpu clocked at 4.8ghz and a gpu of 8 gigs to be able to run it on max settings 60 fps

Idiotfag who thinks just bc he can save enough to get something that it makes it worth buying... Alert

Video editing, and audio engendering along with gaming require more RAM.

Also future proofing.

/thread

Why?

Advice please, if you have any.

But why, do you really want to run AutoCad, 60 pages of chrome and play fallout 4 on ultra settings at the same time? You don't need that much power for games probably until 2030

>future proofing

The hardware will b outdated b4 u even get ur hands on it Cred Forumsro

Built this for 700

Mini itx build

Coolmaster 130
i5 4690k devils canyon
Evga gtx 970 ftw
16gb ddr3
Cant remeber my mother board off the top of my head but it all works together beautifully.

Small but powerful playing fo4 1440p mostly 50-60 fps

No, this is what I want. Do you have any advice I should consider?

poor fag

I prefer MSI but I currently have the Asus 1070 just because it had the highest clock out of any of the after market cards. I get over 2000MHz with no overclocking, just using gpu boost.

I don't like chrome, but yeah. I want to have little to no limits on what I can do with my rig.

K?

Why do you people insist of i5s? We have a quota here at Intel, buy our i7 processors.

I got these, there are perfect

Well for starters add up ur power needs, I doubt u will hit anywhere near 1k let alone 1200...
Also unless u r going crazy with oc that Mobo is way overpriced...
And a 2tb SSD is nuts. Get 2 1tb for cheaper &raid for better performance ..

Fucking disgusting, atleast buy an open frame case or some shit you filthy bastard

It doesn't matter what brand you get

Who did you have to sleep with to get those?

The rest of the rig :

I7 5930K
MSI Gaming 7 x99
16gb Gskill 2800MHz DDR4
Samsung 850 Pro 512Gb
Crucial M4 128Gb
WD 2to green X2

Wrong

Just have a job

The power supply exceeds my needs, however it allows for better power regulation which is why I decided on it.

Overclocking along with future proofing, and general performance is why I chose this MoBo.

I will need a lot of memory for the work I am doing, so I want more than I need.

Pretty good, what is your power supply?

Got a Gigabyte R9 380X,cools pretty well doesn't go over 60C even when playing the most unoptimized game ever,ARK.
Gonna get a GTX 1080Ti or Vega soon, though.
Had a FX 6300 with a shitty MSI motherboard, got a Z170 Pro Gaming/i7 6700k and i'm just waiting for the Vega benchmarks to decide between Vega and the GTX 1080Ti.
The R9 380X is fine but i can't run ARK on max, just high.

Might get a little bottleneck. Those apus aren't the best. Also, you only need a 1060 for that resolution

That too is my dilemma...

...the 1080ti, Vega, or titanXp...

1060 on ultra?

What specifically crapped out. You don't need a whole new rig...

According to leaks, the GTX 1080Ti will be so close to the Titan xp buying it would be a massive waste. Also if the Vega is at least 1080 equivalent i'll buy it since it'll probably outspeed the GTX 1080Ti or maybe even the Titan in Vulkan/Dx12. The 1070 gets WRECKED by like 20-30% by a RX 480 in Vukan and Dx 12 so hopefully...

You can achieve ultra on some games

ITT: Noobs who have only built 1 gaming PC talk about their experience with a card they bought a few months ago and act like that somehow gives them an educated opinion on all brands.

a Corsair 1200 watt Titanium powersupply does not exist. There are lower wattage powersupplies that also have very good regulation, like the new Seasonic Prime series.

Motherboard "performance" is not a thing anymore. No motherboard will give you better performance, but a motherboard can give you better overclocking.

This

I'm sorry we didn't include you in our wonderful chat

>here user, take a chair and join us

Thanks! I did not read any reports on the Vega as of yet.

Time will tell though...

I was thinking of the 1500 titanium certified power supply, the 1200 is platinum certified, my bad.

The 1200 and 1500 have slightly better power regulation, since I will be using this for many hours a day that matters.

Overclocking, yes, and by performance I meant compatibility with my GPU since they are both ASUS.

*plus the MoBo I chose allows for 128GB of RAM if I decide to upgrade later.

"some" isnt good enough

thankkyou brutha
it runs colder than antartic.
my ac is directed right at it.
looks like shit buts overclocked
here are the specs

MSI, absolutely. (even though right now I have an EVGA GTX 1080 because I found a good deal for a barely used card).

MSI has the best design for custom PCB.

make of motherboard and things you plug into the motherboard should not make difference in terms of compatibility, but if you're going for an ASUS theme, sure.

Evga super clocked

Well I have read conflicting reports on brand compatibility, but that aside, yeah like to have a theme.

...

I have an MSI 1070 and I love it

Cheaped out and bout a Zotac 960.

My MSI 1080 should be here Tuesday though. My top three were the ASUS, MSI or EVGA. It was a tossup between EVGA and MSI really but we'll see how I like the MSI.

Damn straight

whatever is cheapest and has good reviews.
what? that's a reference 1060, you can't buy those.

Just overclock the cpu, increase the ram to 18gb and get gtx 1070. It should last another 3 years....

I stuck my dick in this card so hard I have a 1060 on the way it's due in 9 months

Yup.

Why not put in a gtx 1060?

Can't wait til you short out your mobo. Cases are used for a reason fukko

Guys,
Gotta question. What cpu cooler do you recommend for a i5 6600K?
I heard about the bq! Pure Rock but it's only good for default usage. I wanna OC so I need a good one.

The MasterAir Maker 8.

Odd name but great performance.

Just go cloosed loop or get cooler master hyper 212x

Zotac!

I've got

Evga gtx 1070
Evga 750w ps
24gb ram ballistix
Kulher fan and radiator
X3 Toshiba 6tb HD
250g ssd
Amd fx6350 6 core
Asr 970 MBA
Cheap box

Rate?

I forgot to add, I mostly watch high Def porn, and download all the videos I can find. As well as play Tiberin sun, worms all day

That's actually pretty badass.

Is the GPU stable like that? Doesn't it "lean" in the PCIE slot?

Zotac for Nvidia.
Sapphire for AMD.

I can't tell the difference in quality with the big three overall, but I'd say MSI because they didn't dick me out of RMA when I fucked up something myself by accident.
