I never understood what was supposed to be so bad about it. It just seemed like a typical summer blockbuster to me. It was never going to be the most though provoking film of all time, but is was a fun one. I think people just jumped on the worst-movie-of-all-time bandwagon, because everyone else was too.

The Postman however did suck. It isn't exactly a well liked movie either, but it's never gotten the hate that Waterworld got.

Agent Smith was one of my favorite fictional characters, back in the days.
I wouldn't recommand it to a friend if beers aren't involved but it still has it's place in my personnal collection

The sequels were fine, the now-tranny Wachowskies set an impossibly high standard and probably should have waited a bit longer longer before releasing the second and third installations so close together.
