Well there's a distinct difference between sample and crop, I'm against most crops because a lot of them a shitty meme edits like the "lurking" shit but there's other where there's some value, I have a couple of pictures with multiple girls and then a crop solely focused on Shiki.

And yeah it is often very obvious when it's a sample, though it's a safe assumption to be suspicious when it's under 100kb.
I'm still not sure I agree with that logic but still better than just plain being lazy, my main collection is on a usb drive since I only have an ssd as a proper hdd at the moment.
