OK, I'll take the bait. Been smoking weed off and on for about 25 years. I've quit for about 2 years at the longest at one point. The only "withdrawal" I had was boredom and initially in the first month or so some crazy vivid dreams. That and I ate less because no munchies. I hate alcohol and haven't had a drink in at least 15 years. The side effects of alcohol are much worse and it does make a bit of sense how one is illegal and the other isn't.

One thing I should have said was that obviously not everybody gets all of these symptoms and it can certainly be to varying degrees of severity, but these are all common withdrawl effects I've seen either personally or in close friends/family when they've voluntarily or involuntarily quit, usually several symptoms at the same time.

It seems like it's worse when it's involuntary because you CAN smoke, but you're not at some particular time. Your mind isn't focused/dedicated to quitting and just powering thru it.
