Believe it or not, there was a time when Tumblr was cool. Odds are, that's just exactly what will happen to YouTube.

YouTubers like Pewdiepie already announced ages ago the very real possibility of moving on to a different independent platform, and it looks like channels like FilthyFrank, MaxMoeFoe, ThePhillipDefrancoShow, and countless of other autistic spergs will have to follow that direction very soon.

There's a reason YouTube has porn and highly illegal drugs banned from their website, and that's because of ads. No company wants to have their ad on a video of porn, drugs, bullying, etc. so IF this website ever does come out, it won't be as popular as YouTube and won't take off as fast because only the desperate and low paying ads will be shown on there, making people earn way less money.

anybody who's not underage must surely remember getting on youtube and not being met with targeted videos and big sponsored channels- it actually used to be about the everyday nobodies. . .

i'm eagerly awaiting something new .... it's the natural cycle for growing websites to eventually sell out, but we've been overdo for an alternative to youtube. part of me doubts that the economic/political climate will allow for anybody to get their website off the ground though

Google is too big to fail. They sell metadata on consumer behavior that only they can gather and compute. They can correlate Cred Forums posts with IPs and post times, for instance. Same with basically any site you've probably heard of.
