((-2)^4)^(3/4)=16^(3/4)=(16e^(i2pi*k))^(3/4)=2^3e^(i3pi/2*k))=8e^(-i*k*pi/2) where k is a whole number
so 8 -8 8i and -8i are all valid answers depending on your choice of k.
