Yeah, that's understandable. The world is full of good and bad. It has been that way since the beginning of time. Nothing can be entirely good, and nothing can be entirely bad.

If people actually believe that the institution of government has %100 pure intentions for people then they are in massive denial.

Yeah thats what i mean by corruption, its all just controlled by money/funding from big companys that can keep certain laws they need to operate in place and it has a domino effect on people because at the end of it no ones using any of this money for bettering people or the world, just production and more profits, whats a small guy like us supposed to do

Government can only give out special favors because we allow them to do so. Take way the the Government's power, return the power to the people, and there will be no special favors for them to give out.

People need to be educated that more is not better. Our government is intended to be small and nimble, providing for our basic defense and security, allowing for our lives and liberty, and allowing us to pursue happiness. It is not intended to be all-encompassing, nor is it meant to provide assistance for all of the many details of our individual lives.

None of that is corruption, though. Corruption is government abuse of the law, typically in a hypocritical manner. These methods of execution were not corruption, since they were suported by the universally accepted governments/leaders of the time.

My theory is that it's an extension of our personal behavior and daily habits. Generations ago, a high priority was placed on savings. People were happy to live a humble existence, choosing to save their disposable income in order to have the ability to pass savings along to their children. Our government was relatively small and efficient. The needs of the people was best provided by their local governments. Prices and inflation were stable and low, and the money supply was relatively constant.

Today, the majority of families live from paycheck to paycheck. Savings are low to non-existent, and families are loaded up on debt. Homeowners hardly meet the definition of the word, they own a mortgage, many have 2nd mortgage on the same home. The Federal government has grown massively, and our economy has become more centrally-planned than every before in our history. Today we vote for a myriad of entitlements and laws to provide us a sense of security - minimum wage, subsidized healthcare, subsidized education, etc.

If they stop being corrupt one way, they'll just find another. Every man has his price.
