So where does that leave us? Geometry. We need to re-examine topological explanations. There's been some recent Italian experiments that have worked out some 5-dimensional solutions for black holes, for example. A straight line is a shorter distance than a curved space line, right? And if gravity is able to interact along a shorter, straight line -- instead of being constrained to a longer curved 3d spacetime that we measure, then that could account for the observations.

Ok well dark matter can get confusing, I havent done much study on it myself, but i do stride to keep myself up to date with current articles i can get my hands on.

My current understanding of it is that we found it by simulating the growth of different celestial systems with a super computer using general relativity.

This works great for small scale items like a solar system, but when you scale it up to the size of a galaxy the theory tends to disagree with what we actually observe.

Newtons and Einsteins theorys (gravity and relativity) both sudgest that systems on the outer edge of the galexy should be moving very slowly or in some cases even be ejected from the system.

So this if we imagine our system as well in this 4-D spacetime all dark matter would be refering to is something that is bending this spacetime in the opposite direction (rather than a well it becomes a hill)

I think once we find a way to directly observe it, there will be a leap forward in the field of physics
