if u give in your a pussy

I haven't given up. It sucks but I got this I think

...

I will now smoke a cigarette. I will inhale and release some stress, the nicotine feels soo nice. But my throat is kinda itchy. Probably because smoking is unhealthy as fuck, you will die sooner. A painful unnaturally death. Keep going on boy you're doing good.

I have gum and a cheap vape thing, seems to work but it still sucks. I've been smoking a pack a day for 11 years now, I went cold turkey saturday night

check this YouTube channel out, it should help

It gets easier faggot, don't give in, 1.5 years and going strong

I'm cutting down before the final nicotine purge, keep at it Cred Forumsro you're too good to be the victim over priced dimished life expectancy

Good job :)

are you trying to give up but havn't reached the point where you consider yourself to have given up, or can you just not get smokes?

I feel like I'm getting more nicotine now with the gum and vape, but its lacking the cigarette smoke. I can't describe it, it just sucks but its tolerable at the same time

I have to quit, now is the time. I have a bad feeling if I don't I'm fucked. I fon't have cancer or any shit like that I just know if I don't I fucked myself

stop thinking about smoking/not smoking.

non-smokers don't spend any time thinking about cigarettes. you're a non-smoker now, so you shouldn't either.

move on with your life, find something else to fill the time.

Where its at.

I chain smoked 5 before I quit brother!

I was in vegas new years 2010. I crumpled up my last pack and threw it in the trash when everyone in the casino was counting down to new years.

I haven't had a cigarette since. I won't lie to you, it was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I used to smoke at my desk every day.

The hardest part was disassociating everything I used to smoke with. I very rarely smoked at home because I refused to smoke in the house. It was hardest when I was at work.

Stay strong bud!

I have to say its was harder because I did it for everyone else. If it was just me I would probably still smoke to this day. I did it for my daughter and my wife. Every day I wish I could still smoke but I won't because I'm stronger than it.

idk what to do

If your vape juice is higher in propylene glycol, it'll be more like smoking

Thanks

I'll take that path too

smoked for 17 years. now clean for almost 6.

first 3 days are fucking hell. i felt like i was going to go mad. sweating, angry, frustrated and bored. once you make it through that it's managable.

Ice water

Arrange a displacement activity; go make a cup of tea, don't try to completely break a form of habit, just change the habit to something else.

Thats fucking disgusting

3 days in and i wanna go on a shooting rampage

One year, you weakling.

(1) The next week or two will be hard, but, at 47 hours, you are currently in the middle of the very worst part. HOLD FAST!

(2) In a few weeks it'll still be bad, but not like today for you.

(3) In a month, it'll have eased up a lot. You'll still get cravings, but they are managable.

(4) Six months and you'll wonder why you ever smoked in the first place. You'll still get cravings every blue moon.

I've relapsed many times. Usually in the first 6-to-12 weeks. Why? Always becuase there is alcohol involved.

If you're tempted let me tell you, that first cigerette will taste like shit. You'll get all lighheaded and want to vomit (like your first ever smoke). You'll be back to a pack a day within a week.

I quit for six years, it took just one to get me hooked again. This time, I also quit drinking I wanted this so bad.

If you're really done, then you're done. Aviod places you might be tempted.

Good Luck.

Day 3 is tomorrow

I'm off work, just gotta plug thru it. I'm gonna do the tea thing tho

I need healing

Amen brother!

Think about how much money you're wasting on cigarettes every year. 1 pack a day? Multiply the cost of 1 pack x 365. That's a lot of money you're saving.

Also, no smoking means less cancer, which is a pretty good thing.

Stay strong bro, I'm trying to create balls to follow the same path as you

Less cancer is good :)

I'd like to live to see my kids and grandkids

...

Vape until you can quit for good
You're going to look like a faggot but it's the easy way out

I got the math wrong, its 50 hours. I quit at 6:30 PM saturday, ET

Get something for the shits you are going to experience in the next few days.

After the first couple weeks to a month I didn't crave it, but I still missed it.

I chewed a lot of gum to the point where I thought I might lock my jaw up. I chewed on straws and I ate way too much. I gained about 30lbs in a year.

Its hard not to replace one addiction with another. You almost have to.

If there's any advice I can offer is to come up with some reward system that doesn't involve calories. I was never blessed with one of those super metabolisms so I paid the price up front.

I found that exercise, as hard as it may seem was what finally broke my hardcore addition.

When after more than 10 years after high school I could run more than a mile without coughing and hacking and wheezing and making every excuse it was a reward.

I'm not exercise junkie for sure, but it was enough for me to believe I could do more than I could while I was smoking.

Again, it was hard because I did it for everyone else, but I had to find a reason.

Like what

My advice is to never try real drugs or you'll probably kill yourself after 6 hours.

You could also drink some fucking tea or something and chill the fuck out. Do people read anymore?

I quit smoking 8 years ago. Took me about 5 days for the nicotine withdrawal to end. Just be strong, you're nearly through it.

The psychological addiction takes a lot longer. If you rolled your cigarettes, I suggest taking up origami. Also when you feel like having a ciggie, have a mint instead.

Good luck, you can do it!

If you have one now, while it will be good, you will realize you have shit for will power, and you will regret it.

your will thank yourself shortly. just dont be a bitch. be proud in your will to not be a sheep

I'm powering through. It's fucking stupid hard

It gets better after about four days. The pain of resistance is worthwhile. The pain of regret not so much so keep it up user, you can do it.

Nicotine is more addictive than alot of "real" drugs

Look dude, if you think quitting smoking is hard you are honestly weak af. Your motivation needs to be thinking about a cleaner healthier life and not killing yourself with toxic smoke all to get a buzz. If you're having this much trouble then there's no way you'll quit.

It's a pointless addiction that kills your body. Just stop fucking smoking.

few more days and they'll taste like shit, a week after and you'll hate the smell of them, a month after that and it wont even cross your mind, a year after that and you feel disgusted with people who smoke, a year after that you are now racist against smokers

dont do what i did and start dipping instead.
god i love cope but i shouldve gone cold turkey

Good on you OP, just think about the money you'll be saving! Just don't quit for health reasons, unless you smoke 40 a day you'll be sorely disappointed.

Says the guys who's obviously never been addicted to nicotine.

Like I said, never try real "drugs" (I put the word "drugs" in quotes).

boy im really glad i never got addicted to ciggs, i always bought a pack like every 6 months and i gave em away like candy when someone would ask for em, I only had them when i felt stressed or social situations, but most of those situations had weed so i smoked that instead.

hang in there OP you're doing your body good and it feels better when youre not putting crap in your body, listen to what the other poster said about where you're at right now, ur at the shittiest stage, but once a few months and then a year goes by you wont even think o it

Holy shit, this is pretty much spot on, except that I don't look down on smokers, I just feel bad, because I've been there.

Feels like shit for a few weeks then your free i did it. But you wont do it because your weak.

You WILL feel like ass, and then you feel better, and then you feel better, and then suddenly you feel better than before you smoked/while you were smoking.
and if you cave for a smoke or two, they will make you feel like ass again. you'll be given a choice. Do I start again, or do I stop again? When that question hits remember that you feel better without and if you want to go back to feeling like ass you can but why would you want to go back right? I dunno, thats my experince.

Just expect it WILL be difficult but being on both sides, it feels a ton better when you are out even though being 100% out is a difficult thing. I am still "in" to a certain degree where i may feel like a puff if a friend has one but I just remember how shitty ill feel the next day, all for a drag of dirty air.

TL:DR You'll miss it in there some days but once you are out of the woods life is good

Get some dark chocolate. Or some regular chocolate. Helps with cravings if you eat a small piece every time you start craving. Small piece, mind you.

3 years without a cigarette.
I don't even get cravings anymore, not even when I'm around cigarettes.

Yuh Copenhagen wintergreen muh nigga

You'll be right m8

i'm bout to smoke a stogie right now, in honor of you OP
