Yes. That being said, the entire English cast for Kill La Kill did a great job and gave a shit about the show, which seems rare to find in English dubs. If you find the bloopers on YouTube they also had a ton of fun doing it.

I haven't read the manga, but I have read the light novel. From what I've heard the anime follows the manga, which for the most part follows the light novels.

Overall I loved the anime. My main issues with it are the lack of season 3 and beyond, and the fact that they changed Lawrence's friend in the first few episodes from a man to a woman. I felt like it was a completely unnecessary pseudo-love triangle that made no sense after reading the LN. They also skipped the fourth book entirely (either third or fourth, there's seventeen novels so you can get them mixed up sometimes), though I've heard people argue that that book wasn't really empactful to the overall plot. I disagree that it wasnt important and think it gives further depth to Lawrence and Holo's relationship, but skipping it doesn't have an impact on the plot itself.

Then again I've always thought the point of Spice and Wolf wasn't about where Holo and Lawrence were going, but abouthe what happened to them and their relationship along their journey.
